So, there I was, with all these nice discount credits ***** a hole in my pocket and I decided I'd go through ALL the 3 and 4K cards no matter what they were rated. Because, as we have seen, ratings aren't necessarily reliable. And good golly, there are some realllllly nice girls whose card have low ratings! Lots and lots and lots of them. So I started getting a card or two from the likely-looking ones, of which there were, did I mention, lots. For some reason a lot of American and French girls had low ratings, for example. <click> <click> <click> <click> <click> <click>

The problem with my excess hot credits solved itself amazingly quickly. And that's with just SAMPLING a card or two from each girl. Once I see the card content in detail I will surely need to fill out some of these girls completely.

So don't miss out by paying too much attention to ratings.

Yes - use the previews and look at the comments to see if any of our better reviewers have added a review.

The rating system is too open to bias - people will score cards high or low without even watching them 😆

More than anything else - if the girl looks attractive to you and you like the outfit - go with that 😊

I buy a card of a girl almost entirely based on her face and body.
I never look at the ratings or comments of a card, unless it is clearly mentioned in the forum that one is rated really low because it cannot be downloaded or cannot be played.
I no longer play (or even download) the demo only cards.
The last time I played a demo only card was many years ago.

I look at the free pics of a girl as well as her bonus video. This generally tells me if I want all of her cards (or none).
I own all 'e' and 'f' cards of each girl I like with very few exceptions besides the SECs.
I like most (nearly all) recently released and upcoming girls.

Looking at the low rated cards I see 4 main drivers of low ratings, other than the dratted Russian judges.

1) Girl is not super attractive, or has a body type that has selective appeal- Thick and Thin lovers have very different tastes, and girls too far to one extreme will generally have a low rating because a fair number of people won't find her attractive.

2) Also, "enhancements" generally lower the ratings. Rightfully so, for my taste, but not everyone cares.

3) Girl has poor performance skills, even if attractive (I count personality as part of attractive, by the way). This is fair. If she just stands around like a tree, it's not very exciting. But other than the reviews, it's hard to screen for this.

4) Girl does not do explicit clips. Even if very attractive and skilled. Not... really a factor for me, since I am looking mainly for dancers.

I used the little web site previews plus reviews plus online search to detect "enhancements". The couple of cases I didn't check I should have. <lights pile of credits on fire> The more thorough download-real-previews-and check-them-carefully would have been better, but see "credits ***** a hole in my pocket" above.

The moral of the story is that whatever the causes of the low rating for a particular card, they may not apply to your tastes and you might be quite happy with it.

How well did I do? About 10 cards purchased failed either tests 1 or 2 for me. About 100 are still in the review process for test 3, but so far I haven't gotten any additional cards for these girls. And I found, oh, 10 or so that I instantly needed more of that girl's cards. Like, say, Jade, Naephel, Alexis Crystal, Lady Dee, Randy *****, and Emylia Argan. Huh, Lily Adams is cute too.
Or older models that JUST caught part of the 3K upgrades, like Tracy Gold, Vanda Lust, or Jessica Joy. And a bunch more that I am happy to have a sample of her cards.

So far, it looks like a successful shopping trip, my collection of favorites has definitely gotten bigger. 😀

There are several members who comment and the statements are much better than any rating. People who write regularly are awesome. For example: since dogs > cats, I will give certain posters a lower rating... 😜

TBH I stopped looking at the reviews many years ago.

At that time I was a VIP member which IIRC was 300 cards. I was sort of fussy about what I bought and frequently looked at the ratings before purchase.

Then Totem briefly introduced Ruby levels (they then translated these into diamonds shortly after) and this gave a new level of attainment to rise to.

I said then that I would by at least one card of every model and I did.

I was most *****'d off much of the time because many cards that got poor reviews I adctually found really good.

In particular I remember Erica Fontes. I am not a great lover of implants and I was long put off by comments about them. I bought the first card and I felll in love with her. I bought all her remaining cards immediately after watching that first one.

I just thought she was awesome with beautiful elfin features and one of the loveliest arses I have ever seen.

Since then I have bought every card of every model.

Sure there are some I like better than others but the one thing I have found is that every single woman is beautiful in her own way. I have no disabled cards (apart from the Xmas ones which get enabled on 1st December) and I have no deleted cards or clips. Every model gets an equal chance to dance on my screen.

And that is why I now never use reviews to decide my purchases.

Every woman who is happy to appear on iStripper gets a 5 from me and to hell with what anyone else thinks..

I have just asked for the Tag Xmas to be added to Whitney's Classic Card (D72). Not sure why that one got overlooked as Ticia's Classic card has the tag and is in the 21 cards you mentioned.

The only other card I know of has been withdrawn: Nikky Case and Mina - Christmas Jewels.

Counting the duos as two, I make it a total of 25 Xmas girls (including Nikky).

I agree that many reviews are not helpful. I look at specific users. Long or short, I know what it means to me. These users have the same likes as me and I use it. Some users have the opposite likes and I know to stay away from it... sort of....

The comment doesn't have to be long to be useful to others, it just needs to have info not provided by the details, tags, or even other comments. I sometimes see those, total time saver and maybe helps the rating. (Whether I buy it or not. 👍) As we have seen already some just rate max without watching the show because that model can do no wrong as far as they care. 😄

Going through the (to me) massive number of new cards I have has taught me something else. It is not just the low ranked cards that might be good despite the rating. There are also high ranked cards by girls that for one reason or another, I thought did not appeal to me. In a number of cases, it appears I was mistaken. Sometimes, drastically mistaken.

One thing that has happened I suppose is that I have become more tolerant of tattoos. I don't LIKE them but I can now ignore them if they're not too extreme. But it is more than that; sometimes you have to see a full card from someone to find out what they're all about. And sometimes you just have to thump your own head that it's taken you this long to get a clue.

Totem's back catalog has truly amazing stuff in it. I was watching some today and could not BELIEVE how good some cards are. It helps, of course, that in the past there were more normal cards where the girls could really show their talents but still... They are wonderful cards from wonderful girls.

@Bitwrangler your description matches exactly how I found my journey with iStripper too and of course it continues. I've still not watched most of the cards I have, so I'm sure many more sweet surprises to come.

When you mention old card and the extensive catalog, I agree. I can go back to a 720 card for the right model. I know that high res pictures and video are great, but the right model will make up the difference.
