Avant les votes se faisaient sur le présent forum. Le transfert sur discord était pour les images. Du moins, c'était le prétexte.

Discord ne convient pas à tout le monde pour diverses raisons. Il me semble que c'est assez évident, avec les divers commmentaires de membres ici sur ce forum.

It differs from "Hiring a 3rd Party Poll" in one very important aspect (at least to some of us) in that third party polls usually do not require us to "join" something and provide that something with contact details.

In the few cases that Totem have previously used a 3rd party survey they have not transferred something that they used to do on the forum so those have never taken something away from forum users who do not want to use that 3rd party.

Removing things from the forum and making them available only via a third party is very different from creating something new.

The work-round of creating a G-Mail account and forwarding it to your private account is, for me, worse than just giving Discord the data as it means giving Alphabet (Google) that data instead. One of the reasons why I am reluctant to join Discord is the likelihood that in the relatively short term future Discord will be absorbed into Alphabet's (Goggle), Meta's (Facebook) or one of the other net leviathan's empires.

The work-round of creating a G-Mail account and forwarding it to your private account

One does not Have to use the Forwarding Feature.
That is ONLY if you want all your E-mail in one place.

You can simply just use the Newly Created GMail for that single purpose.

Intersting thing the people listed in the members directory (min. one comment) jumped from 13000 to 17000 since this Dsc. thing came up.
