To get credits, you either buy them or you try to win them in the games - for which you need to have credits to enter.

This is not a free site.

while it isn't a free site, I did get an email with a few free credits a while back. I don't remember the details, but I imagine, it was a way to encourage me to buy more credits after a gap in spending. I am guessing the "reason" for the email/coupon/credits.
