Rebuild collection - a couple of questions

I recently got a new HD monitor, which, while only 1080p, is still an upgrade on my old one.
My collection is currently in 720p, except for a couple of cards which I updated manually.
In my settings, I have now selected 1080p as default for downloading cards.
My questions:

1: if I hit "rebuild" will it upgrade all my downloaded cards to 1080p?

2: will it also download the cards which are in my collection, but not currently on my hard drive?

3: my download directories are split between 2 exxternal HDDs, one of which is almost completely full up. Is the rebuild process smart enough to cope with this situation, or would I have to juggle everything first to ensure there is sufficient space on each HDD to accommodate the the larger file sizes BEFORE doing my rebuild?

Thanks in advance

As far as I know, Rebuild collection checks your data files against those on the servers and updates your rights under license to play the cards. If there are discrepancies between your files and those on the server it may cause an update sticker to appear on some of your cards? It does not download any files.

Oh ok - so I would need to re-download all my cards manually in higher resolution then?
Not the end of the world, I guess, but a bit laborious.

What about the external HDD situation though? Should I start transfering some of my cards from the almost full drive, to avoid storage capacity issues?

Yes, that is so, manually re-download with the higher resolution. The older cards from the iStripper classic collection are only available in 720p. These are ‘a' series cards numbered up to somewhere in the 600s, I am not sure at which number 1080 became available, and even then, a lot of the 'a' series cards have not been remastered to 1080.

It is also, I believe, better to download the cards in smaller batches, say 15 cards at a time as an example. That way if any of your cards are of the removed from store kind, you will be able to keep them as 720p downloads. I am, unfortunately, not entirely sure of which cards those are that cannot be downloaded anymore, but there is a list somewhere in these forums of those cards.

Redownloading in smaller batches will also let you have some control of when the disk is full. When the disk fills up, just move the non-upgraded card folders to the emptier disk and carry on.

It's going to be a labour of love to upgrade your cards to 1080

Thank you both for the information :)

I've only got around 150 cards of standard quality or higher (most of my collection is older cards). "Labour of love" is correct though - especially with my crummy internet speeds - but no *****, no gain :)

For the "a" series cards........
From card 1 (Silver) to card 654 (Gwen) are 720p only
From card 655 (Olga Barz) to card 1499 (Lindsey Olsen) are available in 720p & upgradeable to 1080p (although some cards are still in 720p)
From card 1500 (Marica Hase) on are available in 720p, 1080p & 3K

Hope that helps.........

There are different filters in the My Collection tab.

Put all these filters on all.

The first filter from the left is completely deactivated. This filter display shows in addition to the other filter combinations more shows (shows with the sticker new or update).

If the subfilter Unknown is displayed in the filter release date, it must be deactivated. The existing shows are no longer available. An update of these shows would result in a deletion of this show.

The two interesting filters are:
  • Selected resolutions
  • Quality

An example:
Set in Selected resolution only the subfilter 720p and disable the other sub-filters.
Set in Quality only the Subfilter Standard and deactivate the other subfilters.

With these search settings, all shows are shown that currently have a resolution of 720p and for which there is a higher resolution of 1080p (Standard).

If you rename models folder, then change setting for 1080p.
First it will "loose" all cards, because of the renamed folder
then hit the rebuild. It will re-download all cards in 1080p.
Then if it that works you can also delete the 720p.
Not sure it will work, that's why I suggested to rename the folder only, that can be undone anytime.
