I just bought some more credits. And I used the software rather than the web site. It worked... I got the credits I bought. But I got a prompt to enter a new password, which I did. But what password did I change? Is the the general VG password? Or just some password related to purchases?

That's your login password you changed Wintergreen

New thing. Each time you purchase credits, you should be given the opportunity to change your password. For account security sake, it's a good idea to do so periodically.

Just so you all know......
The way I understand it, it's not meant to be mandatory. Only optional. If you make purchases often and don't wish to change your password each and every time you buy credits, you can type in your current password. It should accept it just fine.

We have always had a VG password. Now we have some control over what it is. This is not exactly "another password".

But... when I changed mine, the dialog box made a reference to the fact that I had not changed my password in a long time. I suspect that if I was to buy some more credits right now I would not see that dialog.

I do believe you would see the dialog. We should get it every time we buy credits. The way I understand it, whether we choose to change our password every time or not is entirely up to us.

I understand what you're feeling and felt the completely same thing when I brought additional credits.

I figured out that only English page works properly,(or works immediately) when you
ask(or do the password reset) the password reset here.(after the day after I brought additional credits, I can not log in here.)

I tried the password reset on my native language page first.(Japanese) But it did NOT work out.
I did the same thing on the English page here. it worked immediately, and I've got a password reset notice.

For those people who's NOT native English user, I would recommend you to use English page, when you do the password change.
Otherwise, you're ***** to ask the support team and have one more business day to change the password! (which I ***** to do that.)

I just do NOT need the password change task, when I buy additional credits.

No, I did NOT receive your confirmation email when I did that.
Moreover, even the web form of Japanese page(the password reset page) could not find my account info(mail address).

So I tried to do the same thing in English page there.
And it worked immediately, and I've got a password reset notice on the spot.(I can now log in and use the app.)

After I asked(mailed) to the support team, the web form written in Japanese page worked.(it ***** to have one day.)
I was a little disappointed that day....

I just felt that multi-language support might do not work simultaneously.

But it was NOT your fault Celine...

Maybe server settings or security reasons here....

regarding the change password suggestion after a purchase, it is a suggestion, it's not mandatory :) you can skip that step :)

I did not know that at all....
But judging from what I experienced, I remember there was no cancel button or the close button in the password renew procedure.

I tried to move(or ignore/avoid....whatever)next step of the password renew procedure when I purchased additional credits.

Can you pls tell me how can we do that to avoid that password renew step, Celine??

It might be a BIG help if there is a screen shot here for me and Wintergreen.

I tried to do that as well...(I did that twice.)
But it could NOT accept when I did that.

That's why I entered the new password there.

I think we can not buy additional credits.....without doing that.
