I have found that now every single one of the demos says it is for "Free," but when I click on one I think I might want to purchase, it now says it is 2 credits. Demos were supposed to be 1 credit as long as one buys them while still a demo. This is a bait and switch, and seems to me to be a very scummy business practice. Slimy. I don't do business with companies that behave that way, period. I won't be getting anything more from your company. That kind of behavior makes it clear that yes, we do have better things to be doing than looking at any of this. If there is a glitch that is causing this to happen let me know and fix it, but right now it doesn't look that way to me.

the software has changed the pricing has changed and you need to update the software, the demo carousel is no longer 1 credit, discounts are now given by membership level and you need to update the software for this to take affect, read the forums a little it might help you since totem announced all the changes were coming before they were introduced.

Endorse everything Vixen01 said, but considering you feel aggrieved by the way the old software presents the carousel cards until you upgrade, and you hadn't been aware of this by reading the forums beforehand you ought to be aware that clicking on the 'Buy Now' button does not present a confirmation action any more. Just in case that upsets you all over again. It has received some negative comments, so it may be reinstated, but Totem haven't confirmed that yet.

I see where moonhorizon is coming from though. And all the members that don't frequent the forum. Some have busy lives or simply have no interest in participating in the forum, nothing wrong with that. I remember that some while ago I received a message through the software telling me to update to a newer version. Now with all these changes to the software, discounts, prices, etc, Totem should send out this message to everyone still using older versions, maybe also include the main reasons why they NEED to upgrade.

Some people will still ignore the message, but at least then they can't ***** that they had no warning or that they had to come here to search for answers.

To me, the real Bait and Switch is

1)Totem telling their loyal long-time customers in July to keep their subscriptions renewing and all will be well*; and then

2) in late October, after those customers have renewed for six more months (in September in my case), patiently waiting and not getting any new cards under the subscription contract for several weeks because they already have them all; and

3) saying for the first time, well those new high-res cards we have been working on all this time are not available to you. (and Totem won't be making any other kind any more).

@Rex;

I do read the forum, including the note you addressed to so many of your best customers, telling them of their remedy: basically, kiss off. You need not respond. I get it.
  • "If you like your subscription, you can keep your subscription. Period."

or something like that, right?

Because the cards from the new collection are not included in subscriptions, members who are maxed out and have a subscription can cancel it and contact customer service to be refunded of their last month of debit (or given the equivalent in credits).

I never told anyone to keep their subscriptions renewing. I said that subscriptions will be discontinued, but that we would not cut the current ones. I was thinking of members with a mid sized collection that wanted to keep buying older cards at the subscription price.

I admit did not think members will keep subscriptions running even if they were already maxed out hopping to get the new collection cards for a cheaper price. When I found out about this issue, I immediately offered theses members to be refunded.

I understand you can be disappointed realizing you would not get the new cards with the old subscription prices, but we did not try to scam anyone and offered refunds the day that problem appeared on the forum.

That might be all nice and good but what annoys me the most in all of this right now is that I can't cancel my subscriptions. When I follow to link to cancel it tells me the page doesn't exist. That is pretty convenient isn't it. And the other one can't find my transaction, how delightful.

Anyways, I am never coming back. I am letting them run out and hopefully not renew and that is it.
