Hi

Now that I got permission from Rex I can finally share this program with you.
It gives you the possibility to either play just one type of clips for example only pole dances or to watch a show from start to finish with no repetitions. You should however know how to make a playlist in the VG software to use its full potential.

It comes with a readme file that tells you more. The screenshot shows the main dialogue
and the explanation of the different playmodes so you can get a better idea what this program is for.

It is written in Java 6 and to execute it you just need an Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed. There is no setup necessary for Java programs if an JRE is present. The readme.txt will also tell you where you find the JRE.

It was tested on all 3 current Windows Versions.

Go here to download the zip file.
Thanks to zebrazuk for his support on writing the readme file, testing the program and offering the webspace for it.
http://kp3d.com/vgmanager.html

Make sure to read the readme.txt file before you use the program.
If you have questions you can also ask them here. And feel free to let me know what you think of it.

If you encounter the following problem: You double click on the jar file and some other program opens up (not if the Windows Choose program dialogue comes up)then please follow this link
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Others/Miscellaneous/Jarfix.shtml
thanks @DarkThoughts for finding this.

Extra explanation: Scenes
Scenes are a feature that is used for recent DeskBabes shows to group clips that should be played together like one long clip. Often there are direct transitions between the clips belonging to a scene. Per default only DeskBabes shows above show no. 125 are scened.
If you use Progressive hotness to watch the Scened DB shows you will probably notice that the demo clips interrupt the playing and that some scenes are not played in the right order apparently. This is because they are played in progressive hotness so if the second clip of a scene is x-rated and the third clip is just explicit the third clip will be played before the second clip.
This program plays them in the right order. Just make a Playlist in the VG/DB Software containing only the db show you want to watch.
Step by Step:
  • Deactivate all cards using the all on/off button twice.
  • Activate only the shows you want.
  • Click on More -> Save Playlist
  • Run my program
  • use Scened Fullshow as Playmode.
  • Choose the Playlist you just saved as input
  • Activate VG/DB
  • Lean back an enjoy the full DB show

@Moderators: Sorry for the double post but as one feature is especially for DeskBabes shows i also want to inform the users that only use DeskBabes.
And using the Platinum forum would have restricted this to Platinum and VIP members.

New Version 1.5 of VG PlaylistManager released

Important Changes:
-New Playmode: Cliptype_Random: Selects a show then randomly a cliptype (standing, on taskbar, pole or behind taskbar) and plays all clips of that cliptype in progressive hotness. Then it selects the next show

- Improved behaviour: GUI will now pop up after the last clip has been played not when the last clip started to play.

- Increased Compatibility with Wyldanimals VGHD Player: It is now possible to save the playlists as VGHD Player Favorite list(3rd image) so you can use them as input for the VGHD Player also. With this update the VG Playlist Manager is able to read and write VGHD Player Favorite Lists.
It can also append to an existing Favorite List.
  • Technical Change: The JRegistrykey.dll is not required any more. A native Java funtion is used now. So it will now also work on a 64Bit JRE

-new Function: Next Show in the systray menu(2nd image): Here the paragraph from the readme. Read it carefully:
Allows you to switch to another show under the precondition you are not using the Playmode ‘Random’ and there is still more than just 1 show in the playlist.
IMPORTANT: This is NOT instantaneous! It will just replace the NEXT clip to be played by the VG Software by a clip from another show, which means the clip currently played will finish before you see a clip from another show. The current show is not removed just skipped. It’s more like a ‘later’ function meaning the show you are currently watching will be played later. The clip that was scheduled to be played next will be put back into the list of not played clips, so it is not lost.
The function is not available for playmode ‘random’ as this playmode always switches the show after it played one clip.
  • A few bugfixes concerning the countdown of clips/shows while a playlist is being played. It didn't work at all for fullshow playmode.

And just the jar file for updating from V1.3 or V1.4:

New Version v 1.6 Released

Important Changes
  • Ability to create your own 'Favorite clips' playlists
Basically while the VG Playlist Manager is playing a playlist you can add the current clip VG is playing to a favourite clip list. You can do this either by using the systray menu(screenshot 2) or the button on the clip info window(screenshot 1)
When either the playlist is played through or you deactivated VG or cancelled the playlist you can save the list of clips you marked as favorite in an separate playlist file. Again you can save it as jpl or as VDTB Player favorite list. And of course you can also add to an existing playlist file.
Please refer to the readme pdf file (http://www.kp3d.com/archives/VGPlaylistManager16Readme.pdf) for more information.

Special thanks @Coldinjected for giving me this idea by asking about saving specific clips

Edit: Just released another small tool that might be a nice addition to this program. Especially for those who also like to just let the VG Software play on its own now and then, the VG Logger(see 3rd screenshot). It allows you to also build a list of your favorite clips when VG/DB is playing on its own or when you start clips using the clip selector available for platinum and VIP members.

You can find it also on the same webpage where the VGPlaylistManager is. It also has a readme file that will tell you what it does. Here a link to a thread on the VirtuaGirl Forum.

Ok I decided to release another Program. It is basically a very lite version of the VG Playlist Manager. It's main purpose was originally to log all clips VG is playing in a text file. I combined this...

I really recommend DB users to consider getting this.

This application allows you to create playlists of individual clips. I believe this is very useful for DB as the trypes of actions are much more diverse in DB for types of clip whether by hotness or position.

The logger is also useful. You can use it to build play lists of clips you like when watching casually.

But if you are a plat or VIP member it is even better because you can select specifc clips using the clip selector and then save them inot a playlist.

If you are not Plat or Gold, you may be able to do this using Wyldanimal's application, although I can't confirm that from experience.

So getting the Playlist Manager and the Logger is useful if you want to have playlists of individual clips.

New Version 2.0 released

Important Changes
Almost too many to name them. I now read the information stored in the models.lst file which gives me some more informations about the state of your collection.(Thanks @Wyldanimal & tyqi19my for their support with that)
With this i added 2 new Filter options
  • include disabled clips
(the default behaviour is now not to play disabled clips which is a difference to the previous versions where i did not know about disabled clips)
  • only play VG Favorites
As it says if this is checked only the Cards currently marked as Favorites in your VG Collection will be played
  • more compact dialogues (thanks @tyqi19my for tips on that)
  • A new dialogue:The Favorite Toolbox(see 2nd image above)
This is too much to be explained here. Some things i mentioned before in the previous posts. I explained it in detail in the readme pdf file which is included in the zip file but can also be directly accessed at
http://www.kp3d.com/archives/VGPlaylistManager20Readme.pdf
A short sentence on it would be that it allows you to see your favorite list, play the clips from it, remove clips from it and store the clips in an playlist file.
You can also do the same with a clip based playlist file.
  • Clip Info dialogues card image links to the webpage of the displayed show

As before this program can be found here:
http://www.kp3d.com/vgmanager.html

For users of previous versions above 1.3 i also offer just the updated jar file.
However I strongly advice those users to read the readme pdf file in addition.
http://www.kp3d.com/archives/vgplaylistmanager20Jar.zip

Also a new Version of the VG Logger has been released.
You find it on the same webpage as the VG Playlist Manager. Here a link to a thread on the VirtuaGirl Forum.

Hi Starryk,

I absolutely love your Playlist Manager. Thanks a lot for the time and effort to create it!

Since Friday VGHD Playlist Manager crashes on startup with the message: Error with parsing clip name a1086_0402 .vghd.

I think the reason is this: clip a1086_0402.vghd has no assigned erotic level, as far as I can tell.

Can this be fixed?

Thanks,
Stan

@Stan: I posted this in the VirtuaGirl forum which really is the home of this program but for your convenience here is a copy of the information posted:
I just got an error when i tried to start my program.
The new Kari show has a clipname that doesn't fit the naming conventions
a1086_0402 .vghd (there is a space between the 2 and the .)
It has to be corrected manually to a1086_0402.vghd.
Then you can either move the models.lst file to another location so VG software rebuilds it or you can right click on the synchronize with server button and click on Rebuild Collection to rebuild it.
I will contact the team so they correct the clipname also on their servers but that won't happen until Monday.

The clipname error is an interesting downside to reading models.lst in the program.

One idea is for the play manager to catch the error, log/display the error identifying the clip. It can then continue to read the rest of the file without the clip involved.

This action would prevent bad clip names from stopping the program. And as you say, when the tech team fix the error on their side, Rebuild Collections will correct the file.

Does the bad clip name cause an error in the Totem GUI?

@tyqi19my
I have been working on V2.1 today.
I will refine the error handling.
Currently the error in reading the models list is logged but when the error occurs the program stops reading the models list and goes back to reading the models folder.
When the error occurs there too the program terminates.
I think about showing a popup with Yes/No or OK /Cancel buttons.
Ok/Yes means skip the clip and continue with the next.
No/Cancel means stop and quit.
This is important for users with multiple errors so they can cancel and don't get hundreds of popup messages.
I don't think its enough just to log the errors in a log file no one ever reads.
The user needs to get a clear message that clips in his/her collection do not match the naming conventions.

The Totem GUI does not fault out on clip names that Don't have strict adherence to the Naming convention.
So an extra space or even extra characters don't cause problems.

My take on this in my software, was to use the clip as named, since Totem, Handles it just fine.
I just pass along the file name as is to the GUI.

My trouble comes from the Models.lst file being corrupt or it is only partially written.
Quitting VG and Restarting is the Only Fix for that.
(a Rebuild also fixes it. or Even just updating the Card that has the corrupt models.lst entry fixes it. )

VG/DB Playlist Manager Version 2.5 released!!

Here it finally is the new version.

Important changes:

Improved Favorite Toolbox:
  • You can now view your playlists in either the clip view, the show view or the model view. You can also work with the show or the model for playing, saving adding to fav list and removing.
  • 3 new Filters for the Toolbox
double click on a list entry to filter on it.

use the textfield at the top to search for certain clips/shows/models

click on the new button 'apply main filters' to use the main filters for filtering the clips/shows/models shown on the list.
  • Sort function. Click onto the label at the top of the list to sort the current list. for show and model you can sort by name in ascending or descending order.
for clips you can also sort by the order they have in the playlist file.
click onto the label again to change to the next sort order.

A new playmode: Playlist_order to play a clip based playlist in the order the clips have in the file.

The position of the dialogues on your screen is remembered if you close and restart the program.

Improved error handling: You will now get a error message and you will be able to copy its contents by selecting it with your mouse cursor. This is not possible in a default java swing dialogue.
This way you can post error messages in a pm or this thread.

Read the readme pdf file for details.
http://www.kp3d.com/archives/VGPlaylistManager25Readme.pdf

The program can still be found here:
http://www.kp3d.com/vgmanager.html

For users of previous versions above 1.3 i also offer just the updated jar file. Put it into the folder where your current version is. The folder should have a file called log4j.properties and 2 files xfiledialog.dll and xfiledialog64.dll among others. If it doesn't then download the complete package.
I also strongly advice those users to read the readme pdf file in addition.
