Can I just clarify something. In 29 across, do you really mean the "English" flag, i.e. the cross of St. George - a single red cross on a white background? Or did you mean the red white and blue British (or "Union") flag, which combines the crosses of St. George (England), St. Andrew (Scotland) and St. Patrick (Ireland)?

The reason I ask, is because I know that people in the US often ***** Britain or the United Kingdom with England itself (which is only one of four constituent nations) much to the chagrin of people in the other three nations which make up the UK.
