After just purchasing my first card (I have purchased a few virtuagirls in the past however) all my models except for demoes dissappeared from my collection. I have tried uninstalling, checking for news and the refresh model option. Any Ideas?

Click on section 3 About the software.
Click on the question "Help just lost all my models"
Hopefully following the instructions will get your models back.

Tried both solutions but it doesn't work. It looks like the site may be having a problem since every once in a while it is losing connection with the downloader. If tech support ever responds, we'll see.

same here.. Tried hitting the "check for news button" but I don't even get the little sign that you're supposed to get.

On the plus side, since there are several of us with the problem, it sounds like it is on the Site's side and we can hope they will mend it quickly.
