IMPORTANT: You will not be able to see all DeskBabes clips if you don't update to V1.0.4.65. All long clips will be skipped by your software.
And I'm sure you don't want that.

You can find out which version you have on the advanced settings in your software. At the left column bottom in the About Section.
If it's not V1.0.4.65 or higher you really should update in your own interest.

When I did mine, I even left the previous version open with the black V in the systray.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GET BOTH VGIRL 1.0.4.65 and DESKBABES 1.0.4.65

If you Already have VGIRL 1.0.4.5 or above then only Get DESKBABES.

They are both the exact same program, except DeskBabes has a new Skin.
( you already have the VGIRL skin )

What's NEW
check boxes for collection removed from Advance Settings screen
you now Select the collect to view on the Filter Drop down, on the Collections Screen.

If you don't see all your cards right away, the new software has to refresh.
Sometimes it will do it on it's own after a couple minutes.

but you can ***** a refresh on the Advance Settings Screen.
RIGHT click on the Check for News button. ( a + sign will show up )
LEFT click the + sign. Answer Yes to the popup message.

On the Advance Settings Screen you can choose your Skin.
A DeskBabes Skin, puts the Software in Deskbabes mode.
A VirtuaGirl Skin, puts the software in VirtuaGirl mode.

Change the Skin type to switch between modes.

This affects the Full Collection Views. And Go to Website.
( which website the software connects to )

Some Deskbabes Clips have Sound.
Make sure you place a check mark in the Sounds box on the Desktop Settings to hear the sounds.
Also UnMute your sound card too.

to Keep pc sounds, but no Deskbabes Sounds.
PC sounds can still work, by un-checking sounds on Desktop settings.

Also make sure that after you install, you check your erotic levels.

Music files are now only MP3 allowed.
Wrong Music file type or corrupt MP3 will cause crash of VGHD.

If you suspect that a bad Music file is causing a problem.
It's best to remove the musiclist.mpl file completely.

Ok I downloaded and installed many of the DB cards with V1.0.4.64.
Does that mean I have to reinstall them all to be sure I have not missed any clips?

or is there a list of size checksums for each card I can go through to check?

@EverthangForever: The problem is the software not capable to play the clips not the clips they are fine and you don't have to redownload them.

As I've already noted with other posts, I still can't play some of the shows I've bought.
For example "Tea - solo", "Ariel - solo" and "Sandy and Melisa - demo" are playing, but "Eufrat - solo", "Ariel and Tea", "Daria Glover and Carla Cox - demo" aren't.

Any thought as to why this is?

And yes, I've got version 1.0.4.65 and yes I've already tried downloading them again. Also refreshed my collection twice.

@Matysku: I ***** i got bad news for you: The problematic shows and clips for your system are those that have sound.
Eufrat solo is a full sound show and Ariel and Tea too while Tea solo and Ariel solo have no sound in any clip.
And the Melisa shows have sound only in some clips. So this fits to your error description that you have only problems with some clips for this show.

Ah yes, then it is very clear! Might have expected it ... since I have soundcard problems for quite a while!

At some moment, the soundcard didn't want to work anymore; and now my systems tells me I don't have one installed.

Hi Wyldanimal, i have the latest version, but, for example, my erotic level check boxes does not contain the new "x rated" check box. Is this because i have not downloaded any shows yet , or should i do a clean install, saving/keeping my vghd collection when prompted ? Thanks.

If you happen to have VGHD 1.0.4.61 and purchase the Laetitia - Playful Girl card, the X-Rated box will show up. I'm sure it's just an oversight.

What the heck? I have 1.0.4.64. But the version I just downloaded from deskbabes is listed as 1.0.4.62 -- or at least, that's what it says when I mouseover the name of the .exe file to install. I haven't installed it yet because I'm worried it might actually downgrade me. Where is 1.0.4.65??

@VincentSnyder: It is the right version. It says 1.0.4.62 on mouse over here on my system too.

The Mouse over of the Downloaded installer is the version of the Installer, it might not match the version of the Program.
You Have to Install the program and then do a mouse over on the VGHD.EXE file.

What I usually do. but didn't do with deskbabes. ( and I really should have.)

I shut Down VGHD and the Downloader
I rename My VGHD program folder to something like VGHD-001
I open regedit and export the totem registry to the renamed folder.
then I install the New Software.
It creates a new VGHD program folder.

If for some reason the new version doesn't work right, Most of the time I can Delete the New VGHD program folder and rename the Old one back.
and restore the totem registry from the export I made.

Then I'm right back to the previous version, Both software and registry settings.

OK, that file did seem to work -- although it took 3 installation attempts, for some reason. I ***** updating this program; it seems so fragile. Anyway, I do see 1.0.4.65 in the program's advanced settings page now.

It seems to be working, but I'm not sure which clips were the "problem" clips. Is there any particular clip that I can check, to make sure everything is working?

I installed deskbabes over virtuagirl sucesssfully. My collection is available and works, however I am unable to access the original full collecction to purchase. the new content, all 28 cards shows, but havent figuredo ut how to locate the original cards to purchase. Am I missing something? Appreciate any direction.

@stuka75: To purchase VG-Cards you have to enter www.virtuagirl.com
The Go to Website link leads to DeskBabes but on the advanced setting you can switch the skin. It probably says: DeskBabes: Regular Skin there.
But if you click on this a dropdown menu appears that should have at least one more item VirtuaGirl: Regular Skin. Choose that one and you can access the VG site through go to website and probably also the Full Collection again. You can then switch back and forth changing between the skins.

It says that I have 1.0.4.65 but it does not give me the sound option or the x rated option or even the different filters. I've tried telling it to update and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program multiple times can someone help me figure out whats going on?
