I would like to make a suggestion for promos/games where one can win special event cards. Why could members who already own all SEC cards not win a joker card instead?

You have to be willing to accept cards you do not want in an effort to obtain cards you might want. For me, that's a hard pass.

Loot boxes like this are not allowed...you need to provide what you can get. This now is just gambling because you do not know what you get or can get.

Don't expect Totem to answer this question.
You have to be willing to accept cards you do not want in an effort to obtain cards you might want. For me, that's a hard pass.
Genshin Impact does a nice job showing the rates on characters you can get when rolling for them. So people know also what they can expect to get.

The gambling aspect is null and void.
No monetary value of credits or cards means no consequences.
If you have a full collection play until your hearts content you will or "should" have better odds to get joker cards compared to others.

In this game people with full collections can't participate and there are no joker cards to win, only SECs.

You are not exactly correct. There is value associated to the cards. This has been brought up multiple times and each time I can tell who has and has not looked in to the topic or had discussions on it previously in regards to the greater aspect of loot boxes and MTX in software.
This is actively being looked in to in multiple countries within the software realm and likely will ultimately be ruled as gambling with requirements put in place for complaince. Right now there is a hole in laws/tax codes and like normal law is behind technology (which is normally the case).
The UK as an example has a call of evidence in place until November 22nd.
With Beligum they restricted it to under 18 for a ban so that does not apply at least for now.

There is value associated to the cards.No, Istripper credit is not a currency and it can not - never - be converted back into real money; neither can a card be sold or traded in any way - so there is no monetary value associated to a card.

Yes there is a value assocciated with the cards. iStripper credits are themseves a currency even though they can not be converted back into regular cash and this would be would true be even if it was not possible to buy them with "real world" currency. The wording of the licence is such that we can not claim that credits have a real world cash value, but that does not mean that they have no value

@HansSachs - That is true for any any token currency, technically fiat currency - including dollar bills and the like.
Credits cost Totem nothing to issue (at least no direct costs) - but they get a benefit when we spend them because spending them brings us nearer to having to send more "real money" if we want to continue to buy cards.
When I say that credits cost nothing to issue that is true, but that does not mean that they can freely "give away" credits as that would affect future sales of credits (not of cards).

No argument about that, but that in turn implies that cards do have a value for Totem even though selling them incurs no cost. I think you are ***** value and cost.

On cashback offer, for exemple, if an user acquires only 3 (more recently, 4) cards, he has no benefit at all - while only 4th's (5th's recently) card's credit price is given back to him (provided, btw, that he really has sufficient credits in order to acquire it); - so, all that is technically far more similar to a card substantially given for 0 credits than to a 25% (or 20% more recently) discount on the whole bunch of cards.

I also disagreed when you said

If you buy only 3 cards, and then you stop, there is no price reduction at all - so, no offer until you buy the 4th card; that meaning: offer is on the 4th card only, not on other ones.
It's a cashback on the last card (setting to zero the price of last card), not a 25% discount smeared on 4 cards.

It is still a price reduction on the package of 4 cards - you can defer choosing whether to buy the package until after you have bought the third but you can never simply buy the fourth card for nothing without it being part of the package.
Now, psychologically it may feel that you are getting something at zero cost rather than a a price reduction averaged over a bigger package - but that is one of the reasons why such offers can be more effective when they are phrased as "buy three get another one free" rather than "buy four at a discount" even though they are equivalent offers.

Like I said no legal monetary value on credits or cards. This is why they can jump the gambling loopholes. You can't sell your account or trade cards or trade or gift credits from one account to another account or sell them on an in house or independent auction site like people do with other pieces of gaming software etc. Once you buy credits or cards you can do what you want but you can't ever give them back or sell them or give them away legally.
If something happens to Totem and iStripper is no more maybe you can sell them then if the software still works.
That is a question for the company.
If work stops on the software and servers go down.
Is there a way our cards will still work if we back them up and could we sell them then?
Totem has been around for some time and as long as they are innovating and keep the customer base then they should be around for a long time to come.
I personally don't think gambling schemes and paywalls are the right direction to take this company but it seems to be working for them so I probably won't be able to convince them otherwise.
If something happens to Totem and iStripper is no more maybe you can sell them then if the software still works.
