I need to check, if the 25% is Constant, or if it is reduced, the Longer you wait to Decide?
I think it is reduced the longer you wait.
Finally!'
Except for last year's Advent Calendar this is the first sale in over a year that I can even try to take advantage of and yes this sale would appear to favor the members with full collections (or members striving towards full collections).
And also pretty obviously this sale will not appeal to the "pick and choose" members of less than full size collections who have all the older cards they want and only buy certain cards from the new releases that appeal to them.
Since I am one of those few "whale-ish"😜 collectors, I am pleased to see that Totem has finally conceived of a way to allow me to participate in the sales that are normally unavailable to us, their best customers.
I say "us, their best customers" because that is how I see it. We collectors have purchased (or will purchase) every last thing that Totem has to sell us. For me, that included iDancer which sadly seems to have been left behind, never to be heard from again, but I digress...
There are some who have said here recently that we collectors are not Totem's best customers anymore because we get the best discounts where others are having to spend more credits per card than we do. I call B.S. on that. I had to start at 1 card and pay my 25 credits to get it and I had to progress through the ranks and pay the same for each card as anyone else does at that same discount level. (Keeping in mind that those credits I buy here cost me just as much as they do the new user with one card.)
The only reason I am not an even better customer here is because there is simply nothing left for me to buy until another card comes out. Totem's lack of available inventory (to me) is not my fault (except that I could have spent less money on them in the past) and I think I have proven that I would buy it, if only they had it to sell. By process of deduction it would seem that those of us with full collections have likely spent more money with Totem over time, on average, than those with smaller collections since everyone gets the same discounts at the various progressive levels as they buy more cards. How can we collectors be any better of a customer than that?
And just because I don't buy as many credits as I used to doesn't mean that I am not a good customer. It only means that there is no reason for me to buy those credits anymore. I have nothing to spend them on right away so why would I allow someone to hold my money in their account, without receiving interest or some other incentive to do so? Especially since, once purchased, the only way I have to "withdraw" from that account is to buy more product as there are no cash refunds generally available to my knowledge. I already have to allow the I.R.S. to hold a significant portion of my wages in progressively larger amounts throughout the year, (without interest or compensation) until I file for a refund at the end of each year. I can't afford to do that for more than one entity at a time.
I would LOVE to be able to take a chance with a few of my credits to spin the slot machine in hopes of winning some free credits or even win a discount that could be applied to future purchases since I don't have anything to buy at the moment. However due to the size of my collection, that option isn't available to me or at least it hasn't been so far.
So finally, a special offer that I can (and will) take advantage of and if it doesn't appeal to some of the other members here, well..., better luck next time as I finally found a winner.
Thank you Totem!!!
we collectors are a very tiny minority of the whole membership
@StrammerMax - what you are asking for is essentially a permanent price cut,Sorry, I don't get this..
