) for a current list of remastered cards, I decided to post one. This list only includes cards that have been remastered to a higher resolution and does not include updates (such as color correction).

Does it depend on the score or the number of downloads (which is unknown for us) which cards they decide to do this with ?

The main reason is the time the team has to do that. Post-production, new features in the software and the website, side products, all these have the most of the time spend by the team. Remastering the old shows is not the priority.

I have some experience in video production, and I know how much of a ***** it is to remaster a footage to a higher resolution. 😰

Super big props to the Totem team for putting in the hours and effort to remaster the dated cards. Salute! 😘

Seems a lot of members might decide they’re satisfied with what they currently have and not be interested in paying more credits for an update they’re not entirely convinced they need.

I doubt that would bring about the result you’re hoping for.

I made a similar suggestion more than a year ago. I suggest that Totem should charge half the difference in price between then old resolution and the new one. The real problem is that Totem's sales system doesn't seem to be able to support this.

If someone doesn't want the better quality, they pay nothing and don't download it. Right now Totem's only source of income for remastered cards is customers who don't already own the card because of low quality. By charging for the improved resolution, Totem would get some additional income from people who already own the card but don't play it because of low resolution. I'm one of them.

The big problem is that the current system, the iStripper UI, the web site, and Totem's database don't support this. They might have decided that the cost of changing the software exceeds the possible profit.

There enters what looks like micro transactions. Gamers among us know how irritating that can be.

Well, I prefer to pay a small sum, micro transaction if you will, rather than not have any new cards remastered.

And I suggested this previously.

This has not been tried as far as I know, so I do not think anyone knows how the members would react.

Many of the older cards are among the best, in my humble opinion, and I wish that there was some way to increase the current tempo of remastering them.

I agree with everything you just said. However, the alternative is the current very slow pace not an end to remastering.
