Ok. Skeptically biting here. Wassup Ready?

I downloaded this new version this morning, and now I have no skins and the Christmas fullscreen is black and says: "can't load this scene". What's up?

And no access to Live.

I went to the website and used the download on the home page and now I have a complete program. What a difference! I still have to check it out more, but I like this better than the earlier version I had, and the partial version I downloaded this morning. Skins are back, Live, Xmas fullscreen, all back.

Everything else looks good, but the XMas fullscreen crashes the program every time I start it.

Can't seem to upgrade. Clicking the "check for updates" button isn't doing anything. Should I redownload from the website?

edit: download from website worked fine. Great new features! Makes the interface better to use.

Try unchecking all the rest of the scenes in your folder in the GUI except the one you want to run.

I had a heck of a time with the new xmas scene (and some others) blinking, flashing and freezing up until I unchecked all the rest of the scenes in the GUI folder. Before unchecking them, the scene would eventually smooth out and run properly but took a couple minutes before it did. This wasn't a problem until recently so could be something got changed in the recent version of GUI that is causing it.

I maybe should be a little ashamed of how many scenes I have collected but it's a bunch (over 2100 separate scenes) and I think the GUI was having problems getting them all straight while trying to play the one I clicked on.

Once I unchecked them all, the xmas scene ran fine from the start.

The girl are not clear they have line going throw them. Just the girls are not clear. what do I do @HombresinSombra.

It may seem small but I will not be upgrading due to exculsion of the systray icon not being changeable anymore. I ***** the new logo with a passion and have been using the older iS icon for a while. If it is security related or something of that nature I can except that but not Its because the team doesn't think we need it anymore.

Could you please post a screen cap of what you see? You just need to press your 'S' key while a scene is playing and then go look in your data/Scenes folder. Without seeing an image, it's hard to say what the problem might be. (It should be a file called 'Capture0001.jpg' or similar).

For a while now, the scenes have been making auto cached copies of the preview windows. It's likely that the new software has restarted this caching process and causes crashes and slowdowns while the software rebuilds them. Once done, you shouldn't see any problems.

The caching process was introduced because we were all having problems each time we loaded the main Fullscreen window as, if we had a lot of scenes installed, it took forever each time to load all of the previews. The caching system, once up to date should prevent this. Works the same way as preloaded browser caches I think.

Occasionally when I've installed a new version, the software reinstalls all of the built-in scenes and none will play until sync with server has rebuilt them. I'm pretty sure that's what's happening here. It just needs a little time to do it's job :)

@HomberSinSombra not understanding how to screen cap this I did try doing what you asked but didn`t work.

Just noticed the skins update with the pictogram instaed of the name.. Just Love It !!!

If you are playing a scene in Fullscreen mode NOT the desktop and hit the 'S' key on your keyboard, this should save a screencap in your scenes folder. It does for me and as far as I know most members. Then you should be able to find this capture and upload it either thru the software or the website. For quick access to your scene folder in the GUI, open your Fullscreen preview window (TV screen icon),then the file/folder icon top left and you should see the screencaps there.

All I can say is try it again :)

About the skin update wih the pop up..............

Could we have an option to have a scrolling text list added to the pop up ? So we can see the full name of the skin as the list is scrolled up or down. Would give members the choice to use either the text list or skin thumbnails.

You say you just upgraded your computer. It looks to me like you might need to upgrade your GPU driver. It appears that your existing one is not rendering the GLSL shaders correctly. Try going into your control panel, system and find your GPU. Then right click and select properties, then update driver. Not sure which version of Windows you're on but in W7, it can search the web for the latest driver. (Doesn't always find the right one tho :( )

@HombreSinSombra going to need more info. not sure where to look at. I did go to control panel but could not finf GPU driver.

I think Sr. HSS is pointing you to the device manager in windows. See the screenshot above. I have actually superimposed the three final steps (and numbered them) you need to take to find it if you are running Windows 10.

Depending on what version of windows you are running, Mr. Gates's gnomes have made finding the D.M. more and more difficult.

The yellow arrow points towards the "update driver" for the video card. Clicking that makes Windows go look for the most current version (supposedly) of the driver for your particular video card.

Give it a shot and see if that helps.

So was having thumbnails for Fullscreen scenes.

Nearly 12 months on and still no "grouping" and the long file names are still unreadable. This completely ruined for me what was a feature I loved.

The new skin interface is similar although the thumbnails are at least more visible. Still prefer the earlier version where you could read the full skin name. Tell me without actually counting which of the "unknown" skins in the screencap are numbers 03 and 07

As for disabling custom Logos and icons - why!!!?

This ruined 32 Xmas skins that I have and was going to share.

Right click "my computer" hopefully "control panel" is available there.. If not you will need to find the control panel.

Go to control panel, activate "classic view" which should then show "device manager". Select "display adaptors" and then select "update driver".

I have a laptop running windows7 but won't be able dig it out and boot it up until tomorrow.

That's the best I can do tonight.

i might have found another bug... the systray icon won't change to your own (the old one in my case) in the taskbar when you change the skin.

or maybe is was a bug before... but i liked the old icon much more... so i copied them to all the skins :)
