Hello.
Today I noticed that total durations of new shows are sligtly different than their descriptions says.
For example below are durations of five randomly selected cards. I have added durations of all clips for each show (time for each clip is taken from clips list). Previews are included.

e0632 - Sybil - Statesque
should be: 47 min
total duration: 2424 s = 40,40 min (at least 6 minutes are missing)

e596 - Lexi Belle - Pleasure Pro
should be: 42 min
total duration: 2132 s = 35,53 min (at least 6 minutes are missing)

e0543 - Darcie Dolce - A Day With Darcie
should be: 42 min
total duration: 1996 s = 33,27 min (at least 8 minutes are missing)

e524 - Estonika - Harley XX
should be: 35 min
total duration: 1829 s = 30,48 min (at least 4 minutes are missing)

f0164 - Alessandra Jane - Cutest Student
should be: 41 min
total duration: 2110 s = 35,17 min (at least 5 minutes are missing)

I compared them with few older cards. These are few randomly selected cards from the older set:

e0097 - Kyra Hot - Boobalicious
should be: 31 min
total duration: 1835 s = 30,58 min

e0087 - Viola - Hard Rider
should be: 39 min
total duration: 2317 s = 38,62 min

e0022 - Sabrisse - Aloha
should be: 32 min
total duration: 1899 s = 31,65 min

And these are few randomly selected cards from the oldest collection (VirtuaGirl):

a1674 - Aika May - Superior Officer
should be: 37 min
total duration: 2286 s = 38,10 min

a1453 - Vanda Lust - Take Off
should be: 31 min
total duration: 1941 s = 32,35 min

a1254 - Melissa K - Cocktail Girl
should be: 46 min
total duration: 2704 s = 45,07 min

My question: How the duration is calculated?
Does it contain "swinging clips" and "transition clips" also?

i've noticed that too. it seems that for newer shows the transition clips are added for the overall duration (the transition clips are not in the clip list).

This "difference" in total clip time has been going on since the first iStripper Alpha - Beta. Notice how Totem doesn't publish the number of clips in each card or the total download size of the card anymore ?? I'm guessing most of this time is the transition clips that we can not delete. To me the transition clips are "invisible" since we can not delete them. Therefore they should not count in the total time of the card. The total time published for each card should match the time in the clips list that we can see (Previews & Regular clips) I'm not against transition clips, it is what it is, I would like to know how many clips & total download size in each card that I buy. Or better yet, let us know how many transition clips & download size of these clips are for each card.

Just my thoughts............

Transitions clips do not count in the overall show duration count.
But since we've changed the shows framerate this year (25 up to 30) the count is not up to date anymore for 30fps shows.

should be: 47 min

47*25/30 = 40min that's why. A fix is under development and will be available without updating your software in few days.

Yes, the software hides the transition clips as they are only meant to be seen when viewing in small mode. However, if you really want to see them, you can download and install one of the 3 (that I know of) member created add-on players.

I use WA's original player which will allow you to select and play clips from your models folders in explorer. (iStripper must be loaded on your systray). All but one of the 'it' clips for any given card you have installed will play too. The clips with 'it11' in the name usually don't play but occasionally do and it's usually a brief flash of 'The spin' :)

Is this fix going to come up anytime soon? Quoted post above is from November 2016 (!)

I made quite an extensive test of about 80 recent cards. I chose e-series and f-series cards in descending order by card number (f0454 --> f0390 and e1148 --> e1097).

Out of those ~80 cards checked there are 5 cards, where the total runtime actually matches the sum of clip times (e1099, e1112, e1135, f0394, f0418). Were those 5 cards, for whatever reason, shot in 25 fps even though they are so recent?

Would be nice to have card runtime reflect the actual duration of all clips played, eventually. Especially, as there seem to be these anomalies from the rule such as those 5 recent cards.

Ok, one more try. It seems Totem doesn't like to address this subject :)

There were 5 cards released Thursday-Friday, if one includes Kay J's steampunk card pre-release today. Here's the duration info for them.
  • e1155: Josephine Jackson - Obedience: GUI tells 36 minutes, sum of clips is 36 minutes(!)
  • e1121: Mary Blond - Tease Me: GUI tells 40 minutes, sum of clips is only 33 minutes
  • f0427: Lovenia Lux - On The Clock: GUI tells 43 minutes, sum of clips is only 36 minutes
  • f0429: Olivia Sin - Hidden Love: GUI tells 41 minutes, sum of clips is only 35 minutes
  • f0431: Kay J - Victorian Love: GUI tells 43 minutes, sum of clips is only 36 minutes

AGAIN - arbitrarily one card actually matches regarding card duration given and the duration of all clips totalled. And then all other cards are several minutes off. What is going on?

If you keep on using both 25 fps and 30 fps, PLEASE reflect that variation in your card info. And if you are only using 30 fps, as is hinted in your previous posts, please calculate the card duration correctly. This is quite frustrating for anyone wanting to keep track on total runtime of recent cards....

I noticed the discrepancy between advertised and actual duration some time ago.
The best indicator of duration is in the .xml file. Sometimes the web site duration is more or less correct, often it isn't. Perhaps Totem think that higher advertised durations will help in selling a show, so they add the transition clip times. Who knows? (Who cares?).
