can i play deskbabe cards on my vg? or do i have to install both programs?

Deskbabes is more or less an addon for the VG software. Install it over VG, and you will have both VG and DB collections available from your "My collection" screen.
Use the filters on the top right to control whether you see one collection or the other, or both.
Go to the "Advanced Settings" screen to switch the between the DB and VG skins. Switching skins also switches the link to the website on the left menu, from one site to the other.
