I just checked, and now it is there. It is still in the download process and I assume it simply just updated itself somewhere along the way. I however didn't find it when I first downloaded it from here on the DB site.

I estimate I should have my entire collection back in a week or two of 24/7 downloading. I know that the last time I had to redownload my entire collection, we didn't have so many cards, so I base my estimates of downloading time upon that experience. Just last time, I'd have to keep restarting my computer to clear the virtual memory. This time it seems like I do not. Maybe Windows 7 is that much better that Windows Vista, or maybe my quad core system with 8gb of memory is better than my old dual core system with 4gb of memory, but whatever it is, it is continuing to download this time without restarts needed.

Glad to hear your GOOD NEWS (at least at the present time).

I have WINDOWS XP. And, so far I've been VERY LUCKY "not to lose MY (DownLoaded) COLLECTIONS". In addition to "using" BOTH "WyldAnimal"'s VGHD & VGDTB Player 2's DELETE CLIP OPTION for "both" Totem's "orginal" VGHD & DESKBABES.

I "do" BACKUP Totem's DATA FOLDER & MODELS FOLDER "as-a-precaution".

I certainly "do not" WANT TO RE-DOWNLOAD "from SCRATCH" (Day-One) "either" VGHD and/or DESKBABES as apparently you are doing at the present time.

However, "one day" I will "have-to-decide" when I will "UPGRADE" to "WINDOWS 7".

Oh yeah, that's for sure. Originally, I had them on an external drive, but it started going bad, so I transfered them to my main disk when I got my 2TB disk, but by that time they were all already corrupted too much from all my previous computers that went bad. I then just decided to get a fresh copy of them all since so many were bad from bad disks and bad computers.

Yep, updating is good too. Most recent changes from Microsoft are the discontinuing all security updates for IE6 and for XP's SP2 also. Only SP3 is now still supported. The next discontinuing probably will be XP in any form, but that's just my guessing. Who knows?

Well, about a week later, and a little less than 100 to go. Maybe they'll be finished by mid-week or so. I guess my current computer downloads better than all of the others without overloading the virtual memory.

My guess would be that they will discontinue Vista before XP.

XP was given an extended lease of live for low power devices and IMHO Vista was too much of a memory hog. XP is still useful, 7 is current and useful. Vista lost its place.

Perhaps we can start answering some of the questions regarding sound in the Deskbabes clips.Can someone post an updated list of shows with no sound or limited sound.Will Totem be restoring sound to any of these shows and or clips? One show in particular that I wish would be restored is the Sarah & Natalia show.You can see them talking in the earlier clips but no sound until x-rated clips.This really sucks,especially since both girls speak English and this would have been a fantastic show with sound in all clips.I really hope this and any of the other shows with no or limited sound can be restored!

I agree about VISTA "Lost Its' Place". And in my opinion VISTA is just a "COPY" of MicroSoft's MEDIA CENTER SoftWare Package (which was "originally" part of WINDOWS XP, and was offered as a PURCHASE "Built-In" OPTION).

I am under the impression that WINDOWS 7 is a "great improvement".

As far as Totem's SOUNDS (along with possible TALKING), for now, it seems Totem's DESKBABES Product is not "growing CUSTOMERS exponentially" as the "original" Totem VGHD Product did. Of course I could be wrong. But, if I'm correct, than Totem and the Ladies have to "greatly improve" the SOUNDS and "add" TALKING (regardless the language spoken).

And, hopefully it would include "to see it added to the old shows that don't have it" and "so we could just delete our current ones and redownload new copies with sound included".

Well, my collection finished redownloading late yesterday, so I definitely will enjoy the ones I have anyway. Hopefully DB will pick up more business if it's not quite on top of the world yet. I would think that a lot more VG people would come over here, but you never know exactly what one might be interested in. Hey, maybe put some DB advertising on the VG site. For that matter, maybe the females might want to see Virtuaguy advertising too. Well, hopefully they all 3 will do great business.

O.K., now I did my 2nd install on my laptop with an external drive and the same thing happened again. It doesn't show the sound settings button again. There's no redownloading of my collection needed because I just copied them over, but the sound button and options are missing again. I wonder if it will just mysteriously reappear again.

I did the first download from the DB site and then for the sake of it, I tried the one from the VG site, and nothing else different happened. Then I reinstalled a 3ird time, this time again from the DB site and nothing different happened again. It just seems that each site has it's own skin. Hopefully the DB sound setting files are in there and will eventually work.

when you have the script download, you just need to double clip and the script work for you, i place also the script in one Zip file for made more simple.

Just reinstalled on my desktop and had to use Alerte's file again. Something must be missing from the download files.

One strange thing that happened this time is that after I used the file above, the program wouldn't start back up again.

What I did after that was just reinstall over it again and all was fine again, and with the sound too.

I did need it. The download didn't have the sound option in it again.

Just for some reason the program didn't want to start back up this time when I used it.

I fixed that part by reinstalling the program, but your script is what added the the sound options into it. The sound options still seem to be missing from the download files.

i know one think when we install the program is best to recreat the file models.lst by the clic right on (check for news) and normally the sound must be actived by the program.

Now it seems like my desktop copy won't update my collection. I have some that are not yet purchased or downloaded, but my desktop one won't download the new cards.

Just to see what happens, I selected download trailers also, like I do not have selected on my laptop, but that didn't change anything either.

I hit the check for news button in the advanced tab over and over many, many times, but still nothing different happened.

My desktop copy also seems to show them in a different order than my laptop when they both have the settings set to show my collection in the order by the date.

The first screenshot with the dark background is my laptop and the other one is my desktop.

The one on my desktop isn't actually downloading any updates.
