(IMPORTANT) delete the history of your internet navigator.

go on download of the site, and download the last version. you can of course install the program again no problem.
no need to uninstall.
just install one time more and control how files are in the folder (classic skin). control too and clean all folder skin and download again the skin file.

after a clean you must have only one skin folder the (classic skin). after you install the other folder skin. that made sur your program work.

OK, now I'm really *****. I did what you said regarding deleting the browser history, then I moved all of the skin folders out of the skins folder except for the classic skin, and then downloaded and re-installed the software v35. Now the pull-down skin menu still shows all of the skins, even though there's only one in the skins folder - the classic skin. How can this be?

quit the program and start again for active the change in the skin folder.

Viper, do u have a VGHD folder and a VirtuaGirlHD folder?
I had the same problem! In the VGHD folder I have the Classic Skin in it only, In the VirtuaGirlHD folder, that's where I have all the skins in. VIRTUAGIRLHD folder is where u need to have all the skins in and not the VGHD Folder! Does this make sense to u?

all skins must be in the folder
vghd/data/skins/VirtuaGirlHD
and all skin is in one folder.

then in the folder vghd/data/skins/VirtuaGirlHD you must find only other folder.

I can't see anything.

I have tried numerous times.

I have vista.

Help.

is possible you must go in the Tools préférence, folder option and remove the hide files and folder for find the folder VGHD.

hasff & alerte thanks for all your help. I think I've figured out my blunder.

OK, this is partly my fault, but a while back I moved the card files to another drive because the one that I had it on was filling up (a common problem, I'm sure for most of us). It wasn't that I forgot about this so much as that I thought that the skins files were still in their original location, under my documents. I hadn't used the different skins in a while since before all of these version changes, so I thought that was mostly to blame. For some reason I still had the skins folder in the original location as well as on the new drive, which ***** the issue.

Now that I put the new Basic Blue Skin in the correct directory, Doh!, that skin works great. Then I re-downloaded the skins from alerte's website (Thanks Alerte!), and it seems I'm all set. All of the new skins have approx 210 files, as Alerte said, so I guess I was just missing some of them as mine only had 196 in each.

Glad to help Viper! Like I said, I had the same problem and The Graybeard helped me out!

By the way, I just wanted to congratulate you Alerte on a job well done with those skins. While re-downloading, I also downloaded some of your newer ones as well that I didn't have, and I must say that they keep getting better and better! Keep up the good work.

@All: The old skins don't work for Version 1.0.3 so don't try to use them. I'M sure there will be plenty new skins in the next weeks. My Ariel skin will definitly come back:-)

Hi ya'll new here, been reading the forum and getting used to the site. What totally ***** me is the skins. The sample tabs in the forum are nothing like what shows up on my pages, dazed and *****.

What exactly does a skin do?

I have the new version and i cant seem to find the sub folder for the skins...any advice?

if you are there you find a Data folder and within it a skins folder.
But if you download one of the new skins they all have a script that copies the skin where it belongs for you.

Hola, como va eso, vereis, tengo la version 1.0.4.5 y solo me funciona la piel rosa y queria saber si las que estan tuneadas con chicas de la version anterior ya no valen y si es asi cuando dispondremos de pieles para la nueva version.
P.D que programa se necesita para editar tagetas y pieles.

@CyberVixen: Well that were the skins for the now old Version.
Flamingo had this file included in all his skins.
Sorry that i didn't express it more precisely, saying that all of his skins have that file included.
This file is one of Alertes Batch-Scripts and would work also with your skins if one copies it from one of Flamingos skins for example.
