Dear VirtuaGirl Lovers,

please and I really say please respect the decision of the VirtuaGirls - if they asked for removal and Totem agrees (I'm sure that they check carefully the reasons why the VirtuaGirls asked) - so as us Fans have to respect this decision.

Let us go to an further understanding of respect: Imagine if you're a VirtuaGirls and 20 years old - then many years passes by - would you really like that everyone bought your cards can see your "sin" you've made during your young days of life?

So I really please you all of you that our first mind MUST to be being respectfully to the VirtuaGirls!!!!!!!

Respectful of what exactly? We are paying customers and we are the only ones who will have to "respect" the ***** fantasy of these women wanting to erase themselves from the Internet when it is, in fact, totally impossible.

Think about it: on one side, you have shows that remain on the paying customers' computers and never reach the Internet. They're having those erased.

On the other side, you have videos that are widely available on the Internet for free. They're not having those erased, because they simply can't.

How's that reasonable or fair?

How about being respectful to the paying customers for once?

I really don't understand this. No one has had their existing card taken away and anyone can get their money refunded if they no longer want to watch these cards.... where's the problem ?

My understanding is that some users feel they bought the show so they could watch it for as long as they want without having to make saves which can always accidentally disappear. And are not interested in a refund.

No they are not.

They are not affecting the shows that you have downloaded, only your ability to re-download them - and in most cases not even that.

Dianna's solo cards are indeed gone. I still have the cards (with downloaded) clips but each card now says 'no longer available'. I expect this.

For some reason Dianna's duo cards with Kristina are still available. It does not say 'no longer available'. In fact, it still says the release date on the duo cards. Furthermore, the duo cards still show up on the website.

The duos are e0807 and e0808.

Some members Mistake the Blank Card ( a card with no Image )
as a card that has been removed from them.

So they Think that iStripper has Taken away the card without telling them.

The Blank Card is Still there, you still own it, you can still play it.
It just has NO image.

Create your Own Custom card image for it.

as long as you retain a copy of the Models and Data folders with all the files
the card is Yours to play.

There will not be a blank image, if you have used the "_custom" for the cards. I see mine just fine. (I am using version 12376 again so that the "_custom" image for the cards is not replaced.

@Zossima: All valid points, I fully agree. As much as I respect the wishes of the models to have their shows removed, I can only shake my head in disbelief when I read the main reason behind it. How exactly is starting a 'new life' with a 'clean record' supposed to work after years in porn business or nude modeling? Anyone with even the most basic internet research skills will always find plenty of material of their favorite model or actress, and any jealous and wary future husband only needs to upload his partner's photo to one of those face recognition websites and find out everything about his wife's past in a second.

Tbh, I was never really interested in Dianna's shows but got those two duo cards because of Kristina. Luckily, I saw the removal announcement just in time and was still able to add them to my collection.

Would be nice if the devs could set up a sticky thread or something for those of us who purchased cards that were removed from the store. That way it would be easier to keep track of shows no longer available for re-download.

Dear members,

Dianna has asked us to remove her content from iStripper, after seven years of presence.

Based on our ethic rules and the highest respect we have for our models, we have decided to remove her shows, bonus photos and videos on Monday, June 12.

Her shows will be removed from our catalog but remain in your collection if you have purchased AND DOWNLOADED them before the removal. You won't be able to redownload them in case you loose the downloaded files.
If it happens, our support will refund you.

Here are the shows planned to be removed :

Full show

Thank you for your understanding and commitment next to us to make of iStripper an exemplary company

See the following post for two ways to determine which, if any, of the cards you own have been withdrawn. One is a little awkward but displays only those cards the other is very easy but you have to spend a two or three seconds looking for where the the release date becomes valid.

Tout sur iStripper / Dianna's removal
It would be nice if Totem add a little flag on all the cards/models that are deleted (or about to be deleted). I completely agree. Until a relatively recent update the Release Date filter allowed you...
There is no simple way to get a list of all of the withdrawn cards (other than asking here) unless you already own them, but why would you want to know that unless you want to feel frustrated.

I hope Totem will setup a voting poll for the next girl to take Dianna's place when thanking us for purchasing credis.

I don't know if there are models with similar "blowing a kiss" photo as Dianna has, but general "thank you"-vibe could be delivered with these two photos:

Alissa Foxy - The Heart of the Target (f1245) (picture #17 making the heart sign)
Freya Mayer - Red-dy For You (f0800) (picture #8 making the heart sign)

Cara Mell - Flame Up (e0820) #12 heart sign, #13 kiss through heart sign, #14 blowing a kiss, #15 peace sign, #16 winking with peace sign and #19 😇

The problem is that if for any reason I lose my data (file corruption, need to change PC without the possibility of making a backup, free up space in my HDD without running into this invisible topic, etc) I will no longer be able to restore them , even though I paid for them. Also for this reason, at least the announcement of the removal should have MUCH more visibility (email, prompt inside the app, superimposed label on the card in question, etc.).
Nothing against blocking the sale, I am against the impossibility of re-downloading the file for those who have already paid for it.
In addition to this, I repeat that I have never seen similar things done in other sites, even for long retired stars, even if they changed their lifestyle or carreer.
When you do this job, you accept the future implications this could bring, which is also why the fees are high. Luckily we live in a society that accepts everything by now, so I don't think the possible consequences are insurmountable. After all, I don't think she'll give back the money she's made in this profession. While if she has changed her mind and wants to erase her past, for consistency she should do it. Mind you, I'm not discussing the (respectable) choice when the general underlying inconsistency of such decisions.
Then I leave out the implications on the fact that I would receive the refund via credits and not real currency, which implies that I don't have a "real" refund of the money spent, but I have to reuse it in the app, perhaps for content that doesn't even interest me. I also consider the damage that Totem *****: I imagine that if from one day to the next they saw a large number of stars take this path (after the first one, why shouldn't all of them do it?) they would see their businesses damaged, when perhaps certain investments had been made under different conditions and with different profit projections. In short, I see problems from any side you look at it.
In any case the decision is up to Totem Team. This move obviously doesn't make me feel too comfortable about my future purchases on this platform.

No it isn't. It is entirely up to the girl. She has the absolute right to insist on the removal and if she does then Totem have no choice but to obey.

This was established when Totem fought against it the first time it happened and lost the ensuing court case. It was apparently a very expensive excercise. Ir was so expensive that according to posts made to this forum Totem went into voluntary protective bankruptcy during the proceedings.

This move obviously doesn't make me feel too comfortable about my future purchases on this platform.

Totem could go out of business and you would be in a similar situation - differing mainly in that it would affect all of your cards.

Similar sites aren't likely as transparent, and you do not have a collection on similar sites, so lets say metart has 750 girls, a 4 of them have retired and asked for their stuff to be removed, you would never know. But when you "own" the cards, and they are in a collection and playlist them totem has to tell you. And...YOU GET YOUR MONEY BACK if you want to lose access to the cards, and even more amazing totem lets you continue to play the cards if you want, which is also a great option. I have noticed that most of the girls who ask to have stuff removed look uncomfortable as they perform, and knowing that they are now "regretting" this decision I tend to want them removed. ***** o Fee is a perfect example of a girl who had no business in the business and knowing that she has moved on makes me not want to even watch the cards.

I think you are only imagining this, it cannot be generalized like that, for example Dianna looks very comfortable in all of her cards.

I know it cannot be compared so easily, it's not the same business, but for example on Steam you can always redownload any removed game you have previously purchased, even though Steam has no rights to sell the game anymore.

@Romla

The reason why you can't re-download cards for some of the girls is because those girls, not Totem, can insist that the material is removed from Totem's servers and, under French law, they have the legal right to do so.

So you are right that iStripper cards and Steam games cannot be compared easily - in this rather important detail the situations are very different. Steam may have no right to sell, but Totem have no right even to host the material unless the girls continue to allow it.

No, I refunded 5 cards. 3 times Alizee and 2 cards of Dianna. All 5 cards have been removed from my collection. But I am satisfied with the credits I got so I am fine.

@TheEmu, from what I understand from what you've said, French laws are stricter than American laws when it comes to removing content?

@TheEmu, d'après ce que je comprend de vos propos, les lois françaises seraient plus sévères que les lois américaines, concernant le retrait de contenu ?

@ComteDracula

Yes indeed the laws about such things are stricter in general in Europe than on the other side of the Atlantic, and especially so in France.

Donc, si je comprends bien, si Melena Maria Rya exige le retrait de toutes ses cartes, Totem est obligé de les retirer, c'est bien ça ??

So, if I understand correctly, if Melena Maria Rya demands the withdrawal of all her cards, Totem is obliged to withdraw them, is that right??

This was just an example @Philours, of course MMR wouldn't ask for that, but other models might. What I'll find fair is that the little phrase "you can watch it as much as you want" comes with a disclaimer that it's only valid as long as the model agrees.

As for the warning @Philours it now depends on the team but will we have an answer?? Wait and see...
