I couldn't give less of a poop about the legalities of the virtual credits and their relation to the legalities of online gambling. The practice of online products hiding content behind gambling related paywalls is a DouchBaggy business practice. Don't be DouchBags.

Oy! Now we are discussing the meaning of value?! A card in my collection represents about the same value to me as a Hershey bar. Perhaps more after I've eaten the Hershey bar.

Credits expended on a scratch card therefor have an opportunity cost and therefor an economic value.

But, who really cares? I don't think what Totem is doing is illegal. I do think that not publishing the odds is unethical. I only these games when there is a special event card in play and even then I'm reluctant to play.

So now there will be 4 cards I can't get because I won't play the gambling games. Dissapointing.

and a dissapointed customer is a customer that will go somewhere else to fullfill their needs.

We may be *****, Totem. But we are trying to help. Your cash grab today will lead to less customers tomorrow. Not to mention aligning yourself with gambling and paywalls isn't the best way to improve confidence in your brand. You already show up on a lot antivirus software and sites, do you really want to make people MORE hesitant to install your product? You aren't doing yourselves any favors with these special even cards being attached to games of chance instead of just sold like a normal product from a trusted vendor.

Several users have made this claim, but do you have any evidence that Totem have lost any customers because of these games. I agree that it seems likely that a few have been disappointed enough that they have stopped buying but it seems to me that this is likely to be a negligable percentage of the overall customer base.

I also don't like either the gambling aspect or the special event cards, but claims such as the above that are not backed up by any evidence, and which probably contradict Totem's experience as measured by sales, are unlikely to have much effect.

Cuase thers no other like products to go too

I also made this bold and untimately meaningless grandeos statement,. In the end totem know they ahve the only product like this, and will henceforth continue, knowing thers nothing they can do wrong, no accountability becuase they hide behind "credits have no real value" even tho credits cost real down to earth cash.

In the end, too me, spending cash and recieving credits is a causative realationship, no?

You spend only cash. Credits are not moneyPoker chips can be traded back to the casino for real world cash that can be used outside of the casino
On this subject, I totally am with @TheEmu , @Wyldanimal and @muttonjeff , and I will repeat it again, for last time: you can not change credits into real money. So - as T&C too states - they have no real monetary value. Poker chips have it, since you can change them back into money, Istripper credits NO. Once you bought credits (only real transaction here on Istripper) it makes not any difference for Totem if you keep them or spend them.
Istripper gamble is bare credit gamble, it's NOT money gamble.

On other point, though, I don't agree with @TheEmu:
do you have any evidence that Totem have lost any customers because of these games.
No, but do you have any real evidence that it did not? Or that it will not in the future?

@HansSachs

Of course I have no direct evidence, but neither do I make any claims on the subject. What I have repeatedly pointed out is that Totem do have the required data and that it would be extremely odd if they repeatedly did things that they knew to be bad for them.

The sales datas, though, can not measure the increasing disappointment that a bunch of both collectors and pickers could feel for such promos - as I do feel. Such disappointment, if the exclusive promos will be offered continually, more and more often - as the trend look to be - could, in my opinion, have negative effects in the future.

[quote]bank notes have no monetary value outside their country of origin[quote]
They can not be used as currency, but do have monetary value, though: you can easily change them in the notes of the country you are in. Which you can not do, in any way, with credits.

I have no problem with statements such as that expressed in your last post - indeed I agree with it but doubt that the effects will be significant. What I have always had problems with is posters that claim that there will be a large negative effect rather than there might be such an effect.

Shame dude. Thankfully I only ***** 13 entries. I'm willing to bet that the people that run these competitions are all members of a certain tribe.

666 entries for a Joker card, and these random number names beats me. Idk whats going on, are you sure your draw system gave me my 666 entries and not just 1 entry for each person?

Why? There were quite possibly several thousand people involved each with tens or hundreds of entries in the final draw in which case 100 entries would not be expected to win anything.

It's just the game rules.
Among the grand total of scratch cards played during last week (not the ones played by a single member, but the ones played by all members who played, summed: a really, really huge number!) were to be then extracted only 50 Joker cards. Chances to win were practically null.

If there's one thing I've observed about all these scratch games and what-not, it's that the odds are not random. There are clearly rules about what you win, and when.

If this was a casino, it would be shut down. I'm 100% certain that your actions, ranking, length of membership and other factors determine your odds.

i don't think so. Just to do an exemple, I saw not a single name of any old member with all cards & big poster on forum among Joker card winners.

515 tickets and didn't win, not ***** as I got many special event cards, lots of 10 credits, a few 50s and 100s. I'd ***** that of all the regular cards most were xxx shows at 720p, I had 0 interest in them. Still kind of odd seeing people with 600 and 500 chances not getting selected. More tickets = more chances, so really bad luck I guess. My two cents.

I'm willing to bet the newer your membership, the more likely you are to have won. Totem don't really care about 3x members. They want the new *****.

I recognised two of the names as being those of posters to the forum, but neither were those of prolific posters. I see no evidence of any bias, only that there are many more active members than active posters (which should not surprise anyone).

Same here. With 287 tickets no Joker win. What a bad luck. Sure i've won during the game 4 special event cards, but do not won one i'm interestet in. All three im played it for are still unavailable for me. So i think i will never again spend cash/credits for those kind of games here. :(

Odd? Not at all. Let's repeat it: we are talking about total number of scratch card played during last week (could be even millions!) among which only 50 Joker cards were to be extracted.
Indeed I would have no surprise at all even if a person with 1000 chances did not win anything.

I checked the status of the first 20 of the 50 winners (I can't be bothered to check all 50) but it looks like you would have lost your bet.

Thanks TheEmu & HansSachs for answering disappointed members!
This drawing is pure random, 1 scratch ticket purchased gave 1 entry.
50 entries were picked up randomly.
Best proof is : what would have been our interest to rig it?
