Yes, you've to buy from the machine to get the star. It's written on the black friday section when you put your mouse on the machine.

Even though with a full collection I knew that the slot machine could offer me no cards I tried it. I have no idea if I was eligible to have won anything. It seemed to let me buy a spin, but I did not notice if it was charged for- I did I get a star.

Damn - I was correcting a typo but gkar35's posting has stopped me submitting the correction. The last part of my previous post should have been "I did not get a star."

I am working LONG hours all weekend and so far the only two offers that I've seen (that I wasn't working or ***** through) I haven't been able to participate in because my collection is too big. I like the idea of exclusive cards, but I really don't like having such a hard time because I've already given totem my money ;)

Yeah - I fell into this trap as well - just bought 24 cards and only got 1 star. I ***** exclusive cards in general and would never buy a card I didn't want in order to get an exclusive card no matter how appealing the card. But now that there is zero chance I'll get the exclusive card I will be very annoyed.

The secret to this offer (or rotation of the offers) is to spend slowly if you want the exclusive card. It's not about how many cards you buy or how many credits you spend. It is about how many offers you participate in so if you like an offer just but one and wait for it to come back then buy again.

I don't have the time or interest to monitor the offers hourly but I'll check back Sunday and see if any offer I might be interested is worth 4 stars and hope I can find 3 of them - not likely.

On a side note - I rushed to buy the 24 cards before time ran out. In fact I bought 20 before time ran out and when time went to zero and I got my SINGLE star the time magically went back to 20 something minutes? So I bought another 4 cards and that went to zero with no addition star. But then the clock went to 4:17 and stayed there for 20+ minutes and has now been stuck at 00:14 for some time.

So basically for members who already have all the cards you'll have to spend money 4 times to buy credits and have the card.

That means spending a lot of money if you want to optimize the price of your credits or just buying some credits at full price for just one bonus card.

It's a bit disappointing if there's no other way to earn stars for those with a full collection. As it has been said by someone having this card as a gift was not a bad idea. It's not like collectors will sop to buy credits to buy new cards.But in another way optimizing price of credits mean that you'll spend 200€ for 1 cards and have a lot of token waiting to be used or just spend 20€ for few creditsthat will disappear in no time.

Otherwise for people having cards to buy the event seems great since they'll have a lot of choice to earn those stars. And probably find ways to spend credits in things they want.

That's not a bug, if you spend 5 credits for a spin and you win 5 credits you have 0 credits more.
It's more like you did a free spin.

@VagueAbond is in a situation that provides a very good example of what I see as problematical with this TGIF. Those of us with full collections may be able to qualify for the bonus card but to do so we will have to expend far more effort than those that are even only a few dozen cards short. It seems a strange way to treat those on the Hall Of Fame "leader board".

With respect to the bonus card being Exclusive I would not have cared either way, but I would care greatly if this was retrospectively changed - especially if I have to put in the extra effort now needed by virtue of my full collection.

Yes, me too, bought one card, discount was correct, but no star. There may be some delay, but now half an hour is gone...

Oh yeah, black friday: the app crashes, downloads *****, no star...

Even if the offers were available through the website it would be manageable. I have my phone but not my computer and Lukasr's viewer doesn't seem to be working with these offers.

It seems a strange way to treat those on the Hall Of Fame "leader board".

No Idea what the "leader board" is but this is a good point. If you have all but the 3 cards that were released today I doubt you can participate in any promotions other than the bonus credits offer. If you are buying all the shows then I see no issue in buying 4 bonuses. Your going to spend the credits anyways so the bonus is a plus; think of it as a subscription you get 24 weeks of shows for the price of 20 - it's a good investment for the buyer and unfortunate for Totem.

But the trick is you have to catch that offer 4 times over the weekend. I have no clue on how frequently these offers rotate but it does sound like a hassle. I buy 60-70% of the cards and have 570 credits already on hand and would consider buying the credit offers if I knew I wanted the card but what if it's a card I don't want?

And if the games are getting ***** and/or not giving "stars" then it sounds like this might really be a very exclusive card. I hope it's not one I would have purchased.

I'm going to take a guess that Alyssia Kent's shopping card will be the exclusive one....I totally thought it would be one of the cards sold on Black Friday so that's my guess!

@dar2112v - The "leader board" (not my term, but it has been used here before) is on the monthly Hall Of Fame posting under the heading Largest Collection Awards.

You sum up the situation as I see it pretty well exactly. Luckily I was able to buy today's cards using a Cash Back offer (I think that is what it was called) so I got a star for that (though heaven knows what will count as the fourth card). But it now seems that I will have to rely on the bonus credit offers which either means expending a lot of effort ensuring that I am not ***** or unavailable when these come up or hope to be lucky that they come up at convenient times. If I had 50 fewer cards then I could take my pick of which offers to use - I may then not like the cards that get offered, but I would at least have the choice of accepting the offer,

@team I purchased eight cards during the Cashback offer, but I only got cash back for the 4th card instead of both the 4th and the 8th. Is there anything I have to do to get the cashback for the second time I purchased four cards?

in a promotion a few times ago I had credits that do not replace them like promises (I have not seen the credits back so far). Now this promotion where everyone tries and does not get the stars.
