I have finally migrated to a Windows 10 PC. After downloading/installing iStripper 1.2.148, I pointed the software to my 4Tb USB drive and almost my entire collection shows up as UPDATE required. I have tried to rebuild my collection but it doesn't change. The files are all still there. What do i need to do to ***** the software to see my files ??. I really dont want to download the entire 1500 + collection again.

Did you change the path of the Models directory in your set if it wasn't already set correctly?

@muttonjeff are the *.vhdshows and *.vhdtrailers still in the model's folders?
Is the path to your USB drive models folder showing up in the registry?
If the answer to both is yes then I would start being suspicious that your hard drive is not being seen
properly by iStripper and/or Windows 10.

@Cartref. Yes I changed the path to gain access to my collection. I assume i would not see any of my collection otherwise.

@nurebau32. Yes all my files are still intact. The path is fine and Windows 10 accesses the drive OK.

As i said in my original post, all my cards show up but they are all flagged for UPDATE.
With previous versions, you could delete some record/log files and REBUILD would scan and recreate the collection. I have tried Rebuild but it had no effect. What files should be deleted ??

I'm not sure what triggers the Server to mark a cards as needing an update.
At one time we thought it was the File date stamp, vs the Servers data stamp..
but the actual data is stored in two files in the data folder.
models.lst and models.vghd

after you Quit iStripper.
make a back up copy of the two files, then remove them from the data folder.

When you restart iStripper, it will be ***** to get new copies from the server, and to rebuild ( take inventory ) of your collection.
Don't try to do anything till the rebuild has finished.

You will now have the most up to date status of your collection, and only the cards that really have an update should be labeled as such.

while a member of the QA team, I had early access to the test cards and animation files.
many of my cards I kept in the "AS Tested" version.
So I too have Many cards labeled as needing an update.

this is because the Test version, has always had some type of correction made
before it was released for sale. And it then has the Update Banner on it.

I think your Server profile keeps track of when you Purchased and downloaded the card.
so if the server side shows you have an Older version than what is currently available, It pushes the Update sticker to you.

in my case it's about half of my collection on this PC, on a Different PC, I have most of the updates...
this way I can compare the pre-released test card to the final released card..

i should have done it for all the cards I tested, Kept them all in the pre-released version, but some I did update to the purchased version. maybe half of them...

@Manue @Wyldanimal
It took me a while to understand what was happening, but it didnt work.
On my remote H drive, I have the folder vghd with models and data sub folders. I deleted the two files in the 'data' folder but it had no effect and they were never recreated when i 'rebuilt'. I found a vghd folder on my C drive as well. it also had the same structure so i deleted the same two files and got the same result.
On my C drive I have a models folder that is empty/blank and a data folder that has a ".disabled" file in all the card folders i have checked.
On my H drive, the models folder contains all the card folders and each contains all the .vghd files. but the data folder does not show my latest purchases.

The cards still seem to play even though flagged for update.

Hi Jeff. About 3 weeks ago, I posted a solution that worked for me, to get my normal full colour thumbnail back for an Alizee card. This may not work for you but it won't ***** to try it. It doesn't seem logical and I doubt Totem programmed this to work this way but I swear it DID work in this instance...

Ok, I just went thru many ways of doing this and found one that worked for me :)

I'm using Alizee card a0820 as an example. I have back-ups of the complete, original model and data folders.

I deleted both model and data folders first and then replaced them with my back-ups. The card thumbnail showed greyed out and ready for re-downloading the card. Rebuild collection did nothing. So after trial and error with other things, I looked at the filters in MY collection.

This did the trick and the card appeared back in colour :)

Under the Downloaded filter in My collection, I un-checked everything then re-checked Downloaded only and the card re-appeared. Then you can play with that filter's settings as you wish :)

Edit: I just retested this and you must first sync with server :)

I have just checked my file paths and appear to have conflicting results. Is this normal ??
iStripper has my H drive for the Storage Folders path HOWEVER my registry only shows H for ModelsMultiPath. The MainPath, ModelsPath and DataPath entries still point to my C drive ???
Is this an iStripper error that didnt change all the paths ??
Should they now point to the H drive ??

Where are your Models Folders? on the H:\keep\vghd\models\

If Yes, then edit the registry key ModelsPath to Match.
and Since you Don't actually Have More than One Location.
you can Edit the ModelsMultiPath, and just make it the same.

PS I always put the ending \ on the path

the attached picture is mine..
PSS: I have my Data folders in a different Location as well.

Well, you've posted that message so, you're logged in? - to this forum at least.

Or do you mean how do you log into the VG/iStripper program? then download the latest iStripper program, and then if your login info don't allow you to login to the program then contact customer support, or someone else on here may know better than me

My information says you have no active installs. First, you have to install the program.
