Usually you can delete posts within 30 minutes of creating them

Hi

I have deleted all duplicate posts but unfortunately I have also deleted the original one. Forgive me, it's early morning and I did not drink my coffee yet.^^

Could you repost you thread ? Sorry about that !

Has the new system really changed that much...?
I was under the impression that you could delete your post at any time, so long as no-one had posted after it...
God knows, it took me long enough to get that change to be made......

Not sure what the current protocol is. For a while, we could edit or delete our posts up to 5 mins later but that seemed to stretch to until somebody else posted after.

I'd like to know the answer too :)

Obviously, if someone else is typing at the same time and beats you to the post, it's a no-go :(

So, if we hit the edit button in time, that should in theory prioritise the edit.

Then, however, our edits might not make sense with the following poster's comments as our original post may have changed significantly, unbeknownst to the new poster.

A conundrum, indeed...
