Hello everyone!

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question:
I would like to replace the internal HDD of my laptop, because the current one has exhausted the available space.
How do I reinstall the VG software with all my card collection?
Just copy the folder "Models" and "Data", or must I do some other operation?

If you go to change Change the Storage Folder in Advanced Settings you end up in the VGHD directory. You can then go to your less full drive and indicate the new drive where it should go. For a large collection and say USB 2 connection expect this to take anything over 10 hours..so maybe worth doing overnight.

what about backup? I want to backup my collection to usb hard drive just in case but still want to use CURRENT hard disk to use VG. So basically as @BJLOVER said I just copy those folders right?

@Chaoticevil, yes that is right. Copying works, that is way I did it about year ago.

yes from your current ../vghd directory copy the ..vghd/models and ..vghd/data subfolders elsewhere, as your backup, that should do it.

Just few words to tell you that yesterday I replaced the internal hard disk of my PC with a 1 TB (2.5 ") one and, after reinstalling the VG software, copying only the two folders "Models" and "Data", everything worked perfectly!
