One of my Desktop Wallpapers is a scene of a villa with many roofs. I thought it would be great if I could get the Models to perform on top of these roofs. So I created what I call VirtuaStage.
Virtual platforms that the models can perform on, and they can be hidden from view..
Here's a link to my test Video. If there is interest in this, I'll work on it to make a finished product and submit it to Totem for Approval to share it..
What a useful innovation for the new beta! It is graceful and useful workaround for the need to have the taskbar at the bottom of the screen and constantly displaying.
I assume each stage is a MDI window set to minimum vertical size and adjustable width.
Hi @WA, I've been reluctant to mention this as a fault in the Beta thread, because in a previous Beta, I mentioned it and Totem took it away.
When you click on a small sized girl it goes to fullsize. If you raise the taskbar the fullsize appears at that height. When you lower the taskbar she stays at that height.
Question: Will your program work also on fullsize animations ? If it does, I'm keen to know, because I can put away the Transparent Taskbar program I've been using with various desktop visualizers like Milkdrop2 etc.
Thanks for the Support... I have my Task bar as Always hide. so this just provides me a way to give the Small size clips, the top of a window to perform on.
"Question: Will your program work also on fullsize animations ?"
No I don't create any kind of virtual Task bar. haven't looked into that..
But with the small size now going to be 60%, it will work with that..
The hiding the stage came from seeing that wallpaper show up... I saw it and though it be nice to have the girls dance on the roofs.. But having all these Stages on the screen wasn't pretty. so I found a way to make then still active but Hidden from view.
From a multiple screen users point of view which hoped for something like interactive fullscreen mode in the new vghd version: Yes, please, share it and thank you very much:)
Very creative! Interesting. I would like to see this made available. Thanks! You mentioned the idea of a virtual taskbar as something you haven't looked into. I would definitely be interested in that. Something virtually invisible, and easily opened or brought into play, that one could place anywhere on a wallpapered screen and have the girls dance on it. That would be so cool!
Vey interesting topic Wyldanimal. I am curious, to see if the models will dance on the rooftops. As to my opinion on this to topic Wyldanimal, is yes and go make it happen. I would love this on my own computer for the models. Great job, Wyldanimal. Davrwei062179 out.
With the New Beta 1.2.0.56 This works even Better than it did before. Now the Models will remember which VirtuaStage they were assigned to. ( Note: these are just a Normal Window, but in a Very small form.)
VG detects the Top and Bottom of the Window, and the Model will attache to one of these windows.
By allowing the Window to become Transparent. I can Hide the VirtuaStage from View, but VG still Detects the Top and Bottom of the Now Transparent Window.
Send me an E-mail if you'd like to test the VirtuStage for me. my E-mail can be found in this thread:
Pics: 1) a Diagnostic Version of VG showing the HotSpots where the model is Attached to the Window. 2) The Stages are Visible. ( running 4 copies of the VirtuaStage ) 3) The Stages are Transparent. ( running 4 Copies of the VirtuaStage )
