Will there ever be a legitimately FULL HD 720p/1080p version?

The girls look like bad YouTube videos when slightly enlarged to be 25% of screen height!!

Would you buy a FULL 1080p set, even for a slightly higher price?

aren't the videos at 720p already? as in the cards shot over the past year because they look pretty great at 100% scaling.

it would be nice to have the 1080 option, i've no idea how it would affect bandwith costs and production lead time. also it might have the adverse effect of totem reducing clips to keep overall filesize down unless prices went up, worst of all cards would have to be updated across the board also affecting members with lower end systems.

it'll happen in the future i'm sure, maybe best to start fresh in a separate version but it'll more than likely be a ***** process for some.

I voted NO! NO! NO!

the product is Already Full HD ( 720P/24 )

if the Product was produced at 1080P/24 that would be AT least a 4 Times Size increase in the File Size.
Probably more like an 8 times increase due the the MASK being a Separate HD video itself.

So the Files size would increase 8 fold. 8 times as large as they are Now.

Are you willing to wait 8 times as long for the Download?
If you Pay for Bandwidth from your ISP, your cost just went up 8 times..
Are you willing to provide 8 times the Storage space?

I think maybe it should a choice. Bandwidth and storage space is not a problem for me. So I say yes, I understand WAFree reasoning but I would love a full true hd.

If there is to be 1080p, it should be as a SEPARATE option and subscription plan. I think the cards (particularly the current cards) look fine as they are, and I am not willing to devote more and more HD space to accomodate 1080p. 400 - 600 MB per card is already a lot of space as far as I'm concerned. I'm not going to buy a separate 3TB HD just to store VG cards. I like VG a lot but not that much.

I voted no! Too much storage space for those of us with large and growing collections, I currently have 1600 cards and growing, no no no.

I haven't got problems with playing. And it looks not youtube. Maybe your screen or your graphiccard needs new drivers.

Everybody’s next computer will have more processing speed and more storage capacity than their present machine, just as it is more powerful and faster than earlier computers. Also, the accepted standards for video quality will change, and what looks fine now will seem as outdated as early versions of VG do today.

To not upgrade is to fall behind. I think Totem should begin incorporating 1080 as soon as feasible and continue to offer the current product alongside it as another option, like the Classic girls.

...Tacia's right, talking about new technology. That's the progress and software will always be a step ahead of hardware. 1080 will come, no doubt, but I'll still say NO!

Why? I think we have no need to push the Totem into the right direction. I'm pretty sure that they're already working on these new solutions and they do not make a step backwards. Just give them a time and the new technology will come, when we all are ready. When our models (real Girls), studio equipment, servers, internet connections, computers, bigger new HD (maybe 3D) screens are ready, then it would be the right time...

NOW - a bit early, I guess...

My screen is HD but the girls are fine on it. The video quality is superb the way the shows were shot so I don't know what the ***** is about, and WAfree is right, the HD files would take up HUGE amounts of disk space, If all the shows were in true HD my collection would be down to maybe 20 something girls as opposed to the 400 something I already have.

I'd imagine most peeps here saying 'NO' have a pretty big collection. It's a lot of downloading for a minimal increase in scale and visibility. I like the idea but until broadband becomes much faster... I'm joining the 'no' bench...;)

It is very good as it is so i voted NO!

And ya as people have already said it will take up too mutch disk space, i have almost 650 cards atm and that takes up 300GB on my hard drive so imagine that in TRUE FULL HD.. wont work and no need at all!! The product is awesome as it is.

My computer wont be 1080p until next year, probably. I have plenty of hard-drive over two terabytes, and after next year even more then that. As the files download in the background, and I am not thirteen, the time isn't an issue either.

But, most people probably don't have a computer that will take advantage of the higher resolution, why bother until it more prevalent? Unless, they just wanted to get ahead of the game. Because, unless they are making bank on it, there is no point to offering two formats. And simpler is always better in the long run.

720P or 1080P should be option. Charge more for 1080P for a card if necessary. I could see myself wanting some of my favorite girls at 1080P.

These days storage space is cheap, 1 and 2TB external and internal drives are no longer overly expensive. Bring on the true 1080p high-definition shows, that will look awesome at full-size. Just give those with old machines, slow connections and little hard drives could choose to continue downloading the 750p shows.

REX talked in another thread that they have switched to using 4K video cameras.
So this should translate into Higher Resolution videos.
I don't know what the time frame is,
but the New Forum Layout Does Now Say HD 1080p

And we all know from past history that Totem doesn't advertise it unless they deliver it.
So we should expect to see all new cards in 1080p

Hello,

my answer are no, for évident raisons.

This is not a traditionnal movie, there are a routine informatique (Sprite) who ask lot ressource, more you have information more you can't made work one other program the same time of VG, and also all little computer can't play VG if one too big resolution for the show are used.

i am happy for all who have a super mega computer, but try to thinks to other user's ;-)

All new cards will be soon in 1080p and we're also going to re-release older cards in 1080p at no extra charge. We're also working on 4k, we should start filming in that format before the end of year.
