Hello,

I just uninstaled VG to move it to an external drive. Now when I re install I don't get the option of where to save it. It just starts loading on the C drive. I'm sure I'm not doing something right.

Thank you for any help,
RD

if you also have DeskBabes you need to uninstall that also,
when one of the programs is still installed the path is locked
in the regestry. Uninstalling both should let you choose where
you want the files to load, don't wory about what you see when
it's installing, those files need to be on your C:\ drive but
the data and the models folder will be on the drive you have selected.

Thank you. Is Deskbabes in the same folder? I don't see it to delete it, so maybe I deleted it? And thank you for clearing up that the program needs to load on the c drive. I completely missed that.

Thanks again,
RD

You can find DeskBabes in your Start files along with VirtuaGirl, uninstall both of them then re-install at the prompt choose your destination. after the first program has been installed the second will automatically go the new path. You don't need to make a vghd folder the program will do this.

I had this same problem, and it was finally solved as described above by making sure to delete both VG and DB.

Thanks for the screen shots. I have uninstalled VG but still haven't found deskbabes. I did a search of C: as well nothing came up. I also logged off VG before downloading thinking maybe that was causing me not to be able to choose where the program went but no luck.

Thanks for your help,
RD

I just went in and tried to download VG and DB again then uninstalled them both, then tried again. I still can not choose where the models are saved. I must not be getting all the files somehow. I'm still running vista if that helps explain anything.

Thanks for your patience,
RD

then I talk you through the regedit process to start over.
click on the start tab, in the search box type regedit the
registry editor file should pop up. click on that , it will
then ask for permission to proceed, click continue the
next window will be your computers registry. be careful in
here. Scroll down until you see the file I have highlighted.
when you find it , delete that file. then save and exit. Now
you shouldn't have any trouble in re-locating your files.

(Edit) I changed screenshots because you do have DeskBabes.
the new Pic will reset your PC to allow you to move your
target. when it asks if you if you want to download
automatically click no until you have the Data and the models
folders moved to the new location. after they have been
moved you can check the automatic download.

I followed your instructions. It looks like it is working fine. Thank you for your time and kind help. If I may ask another question. I think this may be related to vista but I'm not sure. When I have the VG window open with on stage, store collection, etc open it blanks out after a few seconds but will re appear if you click on it then after 5-10 seconds blanks out again. Any thoughts?

Again thank you for your help,
RD
