There is a big difference between the quality of the girls in the video promoting VGHD and what i see on my desktop. I posted before about the animation looking blocky and pixelated and it turned out i had the new zoom setting on full but even at 100% it's still noticeable. It puts me off buying more shows.
Another poster had the same issue and suggested reducing the zoom settings. But in the promo vid the quality is really good, what i would consider hd. Do i need to use the hdmi output on my laptop or do i need a high end graphics card? I would like to see a quality like that in the video. Above is a pic i posted previously. See the difference?
Edit: I think i read that there are two knew quality settings so was wondering how much they improved image quality and whether they only work with new shows. Cheers.
Thanks Cybervixen. It's the same with all shows. The most recent is Carie: Lovely Room and she looks the same. I was wanting to buy some more which is why i posted but what i'm seeing is more of a low res image, not hi def. It looks worse on the older shows though.
@Cybervixen, i am running the latest version. I bought the Angel Kiss just to see what difference there is and there is a big difference in the quality. I kinda want my money back for all the shows i bought that were supposed to be hd. Cause if they were hd then this must be blue ray!
We're improving quality as often as we can (lights, camera, lenses, post production etc), so of course the more you go back in time the more you see a difference with today's quality. And we haven't unfolded the latest quality improvement yet, stay tuned ;)
Well, I'll keep waiting for all the improvements as they come. In the current version, a lot of my cards are jumpy, flash a lot, and skip a lot, unlike ever before.
@Wildone The flashing and skipping are not the cards... it's the new way the software act if you don't have a state of the art computer with a super graphic processor... :(
I know it's not the cards, but it is the new software. It just will take them time to figure it out. My computer is very fast and and has a faster video card, so it's o.k. The program just isn't perfected yet. It's a work of art in progress.
@DD Before I had very little problem using my Netbook (Asus Eee PC 1000H) but since I updated to the latest release (.61) it acts like an old Chaplin movie! Slowing down, speeding up, skipping whole parts of clips... acting all crazy! :(
It's old cards like Suzie Q and Elya. Haven't even tried any of the new releases yet... *pointless*
I think the playback issues, slow, stop, jump ahead, go fast.. Have more to do with your Video Card Drivers, than with anything else.
New software seems to keep track of the frame count, and if it falls behind, it skips some of the frames to catch up with the timing... At least that has been my experience...
But as with any new release, it is as many have said, a work in progress and there are some kinks to work out..
Hey Rex, i hear ya. The new quality is great and i will be buying more shows. But will you be doing anything with the old shows to improve the quality or will it only affect new shows?
ya but i feel u should have better graphic quality control like on computer games
