Would a film critic be allowed to rate a film just from looking at the poster outside the cinema and seeing it's trailer? No!

Would a book reviewer be allowed to rate a book just by reading the blurb on it's back cover? No!

Why Totem continues to insist on allowing non-card owners to rate cards on this site is beyond me. It makes no sense either in terms of an accurate indication of card popularity based on quality and content, or indeed in terms of business. If somebody sees a high rating and buys a card based on it, and then is disappointed with what they get, I would have thought it would be less likely that they would buy more cards.

Spacephantom, TotemRex stated it few times about why they keeping votes in that way, but will not search it now, just will paraphrase it: they are keep it because want to keep newcomers involved into the site and cards in idea to catch theirs attention and get them to buy something.

Personally I stopped to pay attention to ratings and now very rare I give my vote. In past I were vote for all of my cards.

I suggested rating trailers as an UPPER LIMIT of participation by freebie folks, since Totem is so determined to allow them some participation.
My full feelings are more to the side of "Rating cards is a benefit of buying cards", both for Totem's business and our satisfaction that ratings reflect true responses by people who have actually bought the cards.
This issue, like many presented here has, so far, been ignored by Totem so not holding breath would be my best suggestion!
I'd like to hear from serial trailer raters to understand why it's soo exciting to rate cards they haven't seen. Honestly, doing that would never occur to me as I understand from the start that ratings are to be for full cards that are bought only!
I suppose if you are only able to afford to watch trailers you might want to contribute your reactions, sooo the idea of rating trailers could be a way to include you & Totem will hope when you sell something or get that unemployment check you'll buy a tix or 10!

The "attacks" are done by people who don't like the card. So, its not really an attack, its the rating they give the card. I like the asian cards and I am not happy with the ratings they are given. I hope that the new site makes it so that only those of us with the cards can rate them. This way no one will feel like their favorite girl is being attacked by people who just don't like the preformer for no reason.

"NEW SOFTWARE" Hey! Two topics in one post. Well, one is actually a question, the other, a statement of compliment on the "NEW SOFTWARE" very cool, tight, awesome, and, rad! (that cover three generations?)
AND - Going back in "Mr. Peabody's Wayback Machine" Would someone, anyone in "the know", that's you guys with the pink tit stars, what happened to the model "MELISA"? A gal that "overall" perfect doesn't just quit at the height of her rateings. "Jenny Gregg" has eight or nine slots filled, "Melisa" has only six, with two blank, open spots. I already looked in the other forums - nada recent.

@Work2Much
Can't say too much about this outside the casting forum, but keep watching out for more Melisa.
