On my system it seems to average 4 percent CPU with 6 shows playing. Have you tried GPU rendering? It is an option in settings.

On my PC, there is no way to make the app start minimized in the systray like previous versions. If that's a bug, that's fine, but if it's a choice, that's really bad and not desired.

It seems to be by design. I agree completely that it is one of the most unlikable features of the new version.

@vg4us

I like having the splash screen displayed while the program is initialising, Previously it was possible to try to use something too early and which would sometimes cause the program to fail, the splash screen provides an unmissable indication that the program is not yet ready. The alternative would be to open the GUI with it looking normal but with nothing working (which would probably ***** people) or to delay opening the GUI at all until it was ready.

Unfortunately the option to "start minimised" no longer seems to be available which would be another option. Like you I really wish that they would reinstate this option.

Starting minimized would be much better than what it does right now which occludes things as the system is loading startup programs. Also, honestly I don't want someone looking over my shoulder seeing it load!

START SILENT IS FIXED:
Object: use command line switch -fromSilent
iS version: 1.2.512
OS version: Windows 10, 11
Expected: iStripper opens up silently to the System tray. No UI is displayed during start up.
Actual Results: This is Working again in version 512.
You have to Manually right click the SysTray Icon and Open the UI.

Here is the new beta version 1.2.512 (Windows) / 1.2.513 (MacOS).

@SocialhazardThis happens to me with this new beta every time when...1) Show is running full size, Desktop mode2) Minimize the iStripper software window3) Move your mouse on model --> switches to small size without clicking anything(not sure if this that "large clickable area issue with GPU mode". I have missed that discussion, but I am watching my shows with GPU selected)

This is what is happening for me again this morning. Everytime I pass the cursor over the model in full size when the app is minimized it switches to small. Thanks for pinning that down to something repeatable. And yes it only does it in GPU mode and I am also using NVIDIA (RTX 3070).

The "large clickable area issue with GPU mode" was in earlier versions with GPU mode the clickable area for the model sometimes became a larger area of the screen or even the whole screen. For me at least.

Booleen answers:.... but ... but ... but do you mean that the carousel features where you see the models standing full size have vanished in this beta thing ?TrueThe various carousels are the only simple and friendly way to see and discover the ladies without looking like the ancient tv presentator, you never see more than the top/face...True TrueI strongly and totally wish for carousels to be present, in a way or another...True True True

Yup ! Me too. I've found loads of new models from the carousel because of the full size image. Would love to see this return.

@Dfner

I just added:
phantom Mouse click after minimize UI in GPU rendering
reported on Discord.

BUG:
Object: Detection of a Phantom left mouse click on the model after minimizing the UI in GPU rendering.
iS version: 1.2.512
OS version: Windows 10, 11
Expected: Minimize UI and Model keeps playing.
Actual Results: After minimizing the UI, if the mouse moves in to the models bounding box, a Phantom Left Click events happens.
Depending on the Left Click Settings in Settings, That action takes place.

I wanted to test all Mouse events, so the demo video has many more tests than Just reported above.
The Only Sounds, are when an Real Mouse Button is pressed.
Notice the Phantom Left Click, does Not generate a sound, or Visual indication that Windows Generated the Click.

In the video: I used a light Gray for Mouse Highlighting.
a RED Circle for LEFT Mouse Clicks
a GREEN Circle for RIGHT Mouse Clicks
and a CLICK sound for Mouse clicks.

There's either been no information or it was a sneak-patch, but now all shows cost 16.50.

Is that expected?

Thank you for the video. I misunderstood your (and TheEmu's) earlier comments about mouse settings. I thought you were talking about Windows mouse system settings and that's where I tried different options and selections without any effect on the issue. I didn't even remember that there are mouse settings in iStripper software :)

Your video illustrates very well, what is going on and about the "phantom click". I have mouse setting as "Enlarge/Reduce", which explains behaviour in my (and Socialhazard's) system and how it's different for you and anyone, who has is as "Pause/Resume".

This will surely be addressed somehow in future beta versions and of course in the final version later on.

I thought you were talking about Windows mouse system settings

I was but @WyldAnimal wasn't.

Changing the iStripper setting as per @WyldAnimal 's post changes what the putative phantom left clicks do. My posts were about a possible source of those "phantom" mouse clicks - none of which I have seen with these new beta versions.

To be honest, I do think that the problem you are seeing is most likely due to something within iStripper itself, but then there is the complication that it does not affect everybody.

@Alkasyn The app (apparently all versions) are not showing the discounts correctly. It appears that you will actually get CHARGED the correct amount- I got a price correction during the app buying process and did get charged the correct amount- but it might be safer to buy from the web store.

I withdraw my statements about me not seeing the phantom left clicks. I now see the same symptoms as the others have reported.

I was making a silly mistake when I was trying to reproduce the problem as I was not minimising the GUI to the task bar. I was closing the window which for me is pretty well the same thing. I have iStripper pinned to my task bar so minimising the window and closing it look as if they have the same effect, I can only tell the difference by running task manager. I can't remember when I last used the real minimise button.

I installed 512 and added the command line switch -from Silent. When I go to shell:startup I can start the shortcut and it does start silent. But if I reboot, it still open the splash window. I also tried removing -fromStartup and it acts the same. Am I doing this right?

Wait a second...
I do not try this beta, as I stay on 360 : this version does all what I need and want - without also the NFT garbage - , and just wait for a true 64b version, without memory leaks...

You're right, the only reason I would switch is a 64b version with a return of the caroussels.

I don't see any real improvements in these changes for my needs. The 360 version also works great for me.

What a waste of energy and time. Like the last useless cards downloads, which I did because of the error with the update banner . But if it suits others, good for them.

Sorry to have to say to Totem that I agree, struggling to find a benefit to this version over the last.

Main issues for me are:
No Carousel
"Now Playing" Tab missing in Full Screen Page
"Playlists" Tab missing in Full Screen Page
Navigation icons in top right were "cool" and less clicks to get around

I raised these issues in the closed Beta so if they didn't get changed there I'm not sure they will be here either.

use -fromSilent

Must be lowercase 'f' and Capital 'S'

When windows starts, it may be using a different shortcut
so you'll have to asses which shortcut is being used, and add the command line switch to that one.

I have a shortcut on my taskbar, but it is not the one used by windows at startup.
C:\Users\wyldanimal\AppData\Local\vghd\bin\vghd.exe -fromSilent

My Start with Windows Shortcut is found here
C:\Users\wyldanimal\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

On the Start Menu , iStripper also has it's own Shortcut.
but it is Not the one used with windows startup.

I am doing all of that. It does not work at startup. I suppose I could proof it by removing the shortcut I am modifying and making sure it does not startup.

It's definitely starting from "somewhere" other than the the startup folder? Here is the weird part. Now it's starting silently without addint -fromSilent. I have no idea where it is starting from right now/ I really ***** how diifficult windows makes it to find startup program locations. I vaguely recall tools that tell you that but I don't seem to have any installed that tell me where something is started from.

So istripper creates the startup somewhere in it' installation, can the devleoper tell us where it is? Registry perhaps?

I think what is going on is that there are two shortcuts attempting to startup istripper. One is definitely in the startup folder (win+R shell:startup), the other is someplace else. I say that because when I remove the one in startup folder it now starts silently. You can tell from task manager (windows 11) that the shortcut even has a different name now. Instead of DesktopVideoPlayer it is now named vghd. So perhaps it really does start silently with -fromStartup bu it seemed to start with a splash screen ecause it was started twice. I sure don't recall ever making a shortcut for it manually. Maybe the installation process is creating two shortcuts.

I'll do a simple experiemnt with my laptop. Upgrade to 512 and then remove the shortcut in shell:startup (which works out to c:\users\userid\appdata\roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\ProgramsStartup.

I fiixed it. You don't need to edit the shortcut created by the installation at all. Just remove the one that is in win+R shell:startup named DesktopVideoPlayer There is another way of starting it up also installed that must use -fromStartup.

I upgraded to 512 o that -fromSilent should work as well but I don't istripper from a desktop shortcut so I likely won' need that command line switch to work.

At any rate, for those who really ***** seeing the splash screen when they reboot check to see if your startup folder has a shortcut to start istripper and try removing it.

Second point. Could someone check if the installer really is creating two methods to startup istripper/vghd? You really don't want that and it will make us remove the shortcut in startup after every installation. Not a big deal to do but it's likely not what you want for less windows savvy users,

I found the registry key that starts istripper/vghd:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\DesktopVideoPlayer

The command line uses switch -fromStartup

I don't think the issue is in the sensitivity to taps in this case. It seems to be about moving the cursor on screen.

You are absolutely right. I have a wireless mouse so it's nothing to do with touchpad sensitivity. All I have do is hover my mouse over the model while the GUI is minimized and sure enough it switches modes. That's not right. You should have to click on the model.

I tried a bunch of things thismorning and they all work fine. Playlist creation/loading, adjusting numbr of shows, purchases (both VR and regular shows). I am not a fan of NFT so I don't have any of that. The carousel (previews) is empty for me since I purchased just about everything (minus special cards). Filters seem to work okay, my collection si good. Searches worked okay. Forum is okay. Shows are reliable. No crashes. Perfromance has been good. Fullscreen is okay.

TI would say in general this beta is pretty good. Takes a bit of getting used to where things have been moved such as downloads but it's okay.
