@876hy9i5 Hello, It looks quite dear. It might be better to wait a bit for the costs to drop. ( at other times of the day or to wait until tomorrow or in a couple of day)

You can also wait a few months to claim directly 20, 30, 40, 60% of your tokens to pay the fees only once

Ideally, you should claim 30% in April or 40% in May, pay 2/3$ of fees.
Bridge your tokens from ETH to polygon ($4.5 bridge) then you will have your tokens on polygon and you will pay almost 0 fee. 😉

I have done it via Ledger and was happy that I dont need another account :-) But looks like I need to work through this on weekend. Gas fee definitly worth it.

Big thanks to both of you Manue and Wyldanimal for advise and confirmation. I was afraid I am on wrong way here.

Hi guys, bought DOLZ in first round, now its time to claim them. If I try to claim, its asking me to pay around 10€ for claiming 3650Dolz from my Etherium account. Is this correct or do I miss anything

Wait! What? I have to pay again to use my DOLZ?

At first, I set up an account on Binance because I read somewhere that buying through Binance is better than on other exchanges (lower commissions or something). Unfortunately, at the beginning I didn't know that BNB and ETH are completely different networks. I didn't know that conversion (or whatever it is called) between BNB and ETH networks costs money (in cryptocurrency, of course). I didn't know that Binance has its own variant of ETH currency with "Ethereum" in its name and that was very *****. I didn't know that transferring currency from Binance account to the wallet also require "gas fees". I've already lost some money on unnecessary steps, but that's ok. It was my mistake. Finally I purchased some Ethereum.

After buying ETH and loosing money on some stupid "gas fees", finaly I bought DOLZ on presale round 2. This also required some additional "gas fees" (of course, how could it be otherwise?). Now the message says that I have something around 8.500 tokens. I was sure that after the purchase, the DOLZ tokens would be available on the dolz.io website immediately after connecting my wallet, and if not immediately, once the whole machine was up and running. Now I find out that I have to pay another $5 to "claim" and use my purchased DOLZ? If this is a joke, it is not funny. How many "gas fees" will I still have to pay to buy anything?

Another concern, regarding bidding fees:
Dolz gitbook says (https://dolz.gitbook.io/dolz/auctions/are-there-any-fees):
For each interaction on the Polygon Blockchain, including bidding, you have to pay fees in MATIC tokens (a few cents per transaction).
Does this mean another lost money just to make an offer?

Dolz gitbook also says (https://dolz.gitbook.io/dolz/auctions/how-to-get-my-dolz-back-in-case-i-dont-win):
How do I get the Dolz I bid back if I didn't win?
Once the trading card auction is complete, you can claim your DOLZ on your profile page on Dolz.io or by clicking on the "Withdraw" button on the auction page in which you participated.
How many "gas" i need to pay to claim back my own DOLZ?

The gas fees are crazy. Now, when network is busy, the price for claiming my own DOLZ tokens is almost $10 ($9,77). After several minutes it went to $15,75 😆 Fuuu** this.

Is this true, @lukaszr?
If yes, then I am very glad that you had said this just now.
I am not happy that this happened to you, of course.
But it will not happen to me.
Your posts have completely driven me off the idea of buying any dolz, though yesterday I thought about it.

Gas fees are High on Ethereum.

If you have your DOLZ on the Ethereum Network.
you will have to add the Polygon Network to your Wallet, and then Bridge some or all of your DOLZ tokens from Ethereum to Polygon.

Gas fees are High on Ethereum.
count on $5.00 to $20.00 for Every Transaction.

Bridging to Polygon, might cost upwards of $25 to $30 to Complete.

you can use the Polygon Bridge.
It is a 2or 3 step process, and you CAN NOT cancel it once started.
if you DO NOT have enough ETH in your Wallet to pay the Gas, the Transaction will get stuck
and you will have to Add more ETH so that you Can Complete the transaction.

Make sure you have enough ETH in your Ethereum Wallet !
Make sure you have some Matic ( $1.00 or more ) in your Polygon Wallet

1) Approve use of DOLZ - ETH GAS
2) Send DOLZ to the Intermediate Bridge Host -ETH GAS
3) Send DOLZ from the Bridge Host to your Polygon Wallet - MATIC GAS

the Bridge is here:
https://wallet.polygon.technology/?redirectOnConnect=%2Fpolygon%2Fbridge

GitBook FAQ is Here:
https://dolz.gitbook.io/dolz/bridge-dolz-from-ethereum-to-polygon

DYOR - Do your Own Reseach before starting the process..

I just spent $35.00 worth of ETH to Transfer the Last of my DOLZ and MATIC from Ethereum to PolyGon.
I kept getting, Not enough ETH to pay the Gas.
So I had to add more and More ETH till the Transactions would go through.

But Now I'm Left with $2.90 of ETH I can't get out, Because it will cost me $15. in ETH Gas to Get it..
ETH GAS suxs.

the Gas fees on Polygon are Pennies...
$0.04 - 4 cents
$0.08 - 8 cents

Yeah for Polygon Gas fees.

Buy Dolz on Polygon
GAS is CHEAP !!

DO NOT buy DOLZ on Ethereum..
GAS is very HIGH !!

Dolz were under a penny for a few days . Now about 1.2 cents
So NOW is still a good time to buy some.

If you are buying and Selling a lot of Crypto per month.
Coinbase has a subscription service CoinbaseOne

ZERO fees for Members.
You have to do enough volume to offset the monthly fee though..

I was spending about $40 a month on fees..
so it was worth the subscription to get Zero Fees.

Your case might be different.

With CoinBaseOne if I Buy $1000 USDC and then Send to my Wallet, I get $1000
No fees to add Crypto to CoinBase
No fees to Send from CoinBase to my Wallet.

without CoinBaseOne it might cost $40 in fees to Buy and Send $1000

https://www.istripper.com/customdata/forum/2023-06-02/xIn0RuhV.png

at the $5000 volume level you save almost $200 in Fees.

I tried to do (almost) everything as suggested in this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7yNTJPm-b0

There was nothing about Polygon and MATIC. That's why I transferred my funds to ETH network. Now it is suggested to use yet another network. No, not today. I'm pissed and I have to calm down. Anyway, thank you @Wyldanimal for all the informations. When I decide to get back to DOLZ and this crypto-BS, I will definitely use that knowledge.

Thank you @JonC001 for your input. It is nice to know that someone could learn something from my mistakes.

Yes, at the time of the pre-Sales, DOLZ was only traded on the Ethereum Mainnet.
But the GAS fees were so High that the Team looked at other options and Moved the DOLZ project to the Polygon Mainnet.
if you Bought a NFT card for 500 DOLZ, the GAS fee might well have been $20 to complete the Transaction
So it would be like you got a $5 card, but Paid an Extra $20 to get it delivered.

Welcome to Polygon
All of the Current Functions of the NFT project will be carried out on the Polygon Mainnet.

So any member with DOLZ still on the Ethereum Mainnet, will need to Bridge their DOLZ from Ethereum to Polygon.
and yes, that Means several transaction using ETH to pay the GAS.
There is just no way around it... Got to pay the GAS.. UGGHHHH....

Also, don't short yourself on GAS. If you run out of ETH in the middle of a Transaction.
The Transaction fails, you get refunded the coin you were Transferring, but you Loose all the GAS spent up till the Transaction failed because you ran out of GAS.
I tweaked the Advance settings one time, to the minimum GAS setting.

Then I just had enough ETH to cover that amount of GAS.
My Transaction Failed at about the 80% point. I ran out of GAS..
and I lost about $15 of ETH in the Process.
I got all My COIN back that I was trying to Send, but lost all of the GAS.
Running out of GAS suxs. Lesson Learned, don't play with the Advanced settings..

Ethereum uses ETH for the GAS fees and the fess are high. $5.00 to well over $10 per transaction.
Polygon use MATIC for the GAS fess and the fees are currently very, very low, often $0.01 to $0.10 a Penny to 10 cents.

The GAS fees are a function of the Coin they are based on.
Right now, MATIC is trading at a low value, In the $1.00 per coin range, so the GAS is very Low.
But as MATIC grows in Value, so too will the GAS fees Increase.

Ethereum, however, is Trading at a very HIGH Value, around $2000 per coin. So the GAS fees are HIGH.
There is more to the GAS price than that, but the Trading value is the Primary Driver of the GAS price.

Just Something to keep in Mind..the more valuable the COIN becomes, the Higher the GAS price.

There is a lot to learn about the world of Crypto.
But once you go through the process a few times, it's really not that complicated as it first seems.

Every Transaction has to be Confirmed
Every New Coin you use has to be Authorized.
And Every Transaction has a GAS fee to pay.
And ALWAYS, ALWAYS copy and Paste the Public wallet / contract address
get the Address wrong, and the coin doesn't go where its supposed to go.
the Address will most likely Be your Wallet address, or the Wallet of the Person you are sending the coin / NFT to.

In your Wallet, you will have Tokens ( coins ) each coin has it's own contract / address.
DON'T use the Tokens address.
USE your Wallets Public address - Yes it is okay if others can see your Public address.
And Lastly, make sure to confirm, which Network you are using. POLYGON..

Your Wallets Public address is the Same for BOTH / ALL networks you use.
Just make sure the Transactions are Being performed on the Correct Network.

Yeah, to low GAS on Polygon..

I get the same problem I had last week.... no liquidity on QuickSwap Dolz v Matic

Am I missing something ? Whenever I go to Quickswap it says either there's no Dolz or the price impact is over 99%.

Use Market V3 in the tab at the top of the window (see screenshot). You can switch from market V2 to V3.
The liquidity has been added to MarketV3, not V2.

I'm not sure if this is proper topic, but I started it here and I'm going to continue it here.

So, I bridged my DOLZ from Ethereum Network to Polygon Network, just like has been described here:
https://dolz.gitbook.io/dolz/bridge-dolz-from-ethereum-to-polygon
and using some knowledge from @Wyldanimal's posts (BTW: thanks again). How much it costs me? Hmm... I'm not sure, but it looks like not that much. Before confirming and starting the transaction it said something about $8 in total. The amount was split into two values: the transaction fee ($2.98) and some other fee, I don't remember the name (it was less than $5). So, the whole "bridging" from ETH to POLYGON should cost me less than $8. I confirmed the transaction. I don't know why, but when I looked at my available funds after transaction was completed, the difference between "before" and "after" was less than $5. That's strange. Should be around $8 and was around $5. My thought was: "Not bad". Of course, still, these money are lost and I could use them to buy several standard iStripper cards, but at least it is not $25-$30 as in @Wyldanimal's case. I don't know, maybe I came in the right time when network wasn't busy, or maybe it depends on the amount of bridged coins? Now it doesn't matter. Finally my DOLZ are on POLYGON network and I can use them.

Now I have to buy some MATIC, using this method:
dolz.gitbook.io/dolz/how-to-for-beginners/buy-dolz-on-polygon/…-.
I don't like the fact, that I'm ***** to spend some minimum amount of real money to buy coins. Usually the minimum is much higher than I need. In my country the minimum I have to spend on MATIC coins is 124 PLN. If I switch currency to USD, it is minimum of $25 (same for Euro). Why I can't buy MATICs for, let's say, half ot that money? Or quarter? I don't need that much. Another money that can be considered as "frozen". Actually, in my case I could considered them as lost, because I will not get them back.

Yes, I'm a noob when it comes to the world of this cryptosh*t, but there are probably many people here who, like me, are noobs as well and can see the topic from a different perspective.

dolz.gitbook.io/dolz/how-to-for-beginners/buy-dolz-on-polygon/…-.
I don't like the fact, that I'm ***** to spend some minimum amount of real money to buy coins.

I opened up a coinbase account.
I can buy and Send Matic from Coinbase.
fund it with Paypal or a debit/Credit card.

as little as $1.00
but the fee to send $1.00, makes it more worth sending $10.00
So buy like $13.00 worth
and then you will end up with $10.00 in your wallet.

In the 1st step to SEND tokens, from Coinbase to your wallet.
MAKE sure to use your WALLET Address, NOT the TOKEN address

Very important.
there is a Second Step where you have to select the Network you want to use.

MAKE SURE to use the POLYGON network.
Otherwise your tokens end up on the Etherum network.

edit:
a Quick story.
The 1st time I tried to send myself some USDC from Coinbase to my Wallet.
I thought, I need to use the Token contract address.
So I used the Polygon USDC token address.

I sent myself $10.00 or so I thought.

What really Happened was I sent $10 to the USDC token, and now it's lost in that Tokens Liquidity.
I basically Donated my $10 to the Liquidity fund.

It's lost, Non-Recoverable.

Never send to a Token Contract Address.
ALWAYS send to a Wallet Address, and make sure to select the correct Network.

Interesting. I installed Metamask mobile app on my phone and tried to buy MATIC using the app. I got different options to buy MATIC than when I was using my PC browser. The minimal amounts were lower, but at the same time there were different vendors and - unfortunately - transaction costs were higher.

I registered an account in Coinbase and bought some MATIC. Indeed, the purchase options are much better for person who don't need big amount of coins.

I've never had much interest in NFTs.
However, because of Dolz I started to look into it a bit.
Not to trade with it, but to possibly buy an interesting card for istripper (and then only for the purchase price of 200 Dolz).
I talked to an acquaintance who knows a lot about NFTs about NFTs last night. He's been on it from the start.
He talked about the fact that the government in many countries wants to get a grip on this and that you have to fill in your identification etc. everywhere when you purchase NFTs.

On a site of my country I read: “Companies offering cryptocurrency services in the Netherlands are required under the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Prevention) Act to register with De Nederlandsche Bank. Coinbase failed to do so in time and is therefore fined 3,325,000 euros."
Will istripper also have to deal with this because they offer NFT Dolz?

This way the tax authorities know what your assets are and you will receive a tax assessment for this.
I also read that some (e.g. Robinhood) stop supporting e.g. Polygon (Matic).
He himself does not have a Matic, but was able to show me that the price has fallen from $ 0.85 to $ 0.53 from the beginning of June due to these actions.

What about Dolz, do we have to identify ourselves for this in time so that the value is known to the tax authorities? Then it seems less fun to me because I only have it to use with istripper.
