deleting shows for drive space

Hello - I just went through my collection and deleted a bunch of shows to reclaim some hard drive space. After deleting the folder size is exactly the same as before.

I restarted the app, synchronized with server and restarted the computer but nothing has changed. Does anyone know what else I should do?

I know I can delete folder by folder but that is annoying and much slower. There is a delete function in the app so that should work. I think I am missing some step. Thanks.

@cxsn did you empty the trash can (recycle bin) ? Otherwise they are just flagged as deleted but still taking up space.

@Calgon - thanks.
I assume you mean the trash can for my computer? If so, yes I did. Also, I clicked the trash can on each card to delete it.

Deleting shows does not reduce the Data Folder size.

Deleting shows will reduce the Models folder Size.

Which Folder did you check the before and after size of?

@Wyldanimal -- I have been checking the Models folder.
I don't really understand what the issue is but I guess it's fine. I guess it might be on my system's end. I wanted see if I missed something.
Also, when I delete cards, nothing shows up in my trash can. It seems to delete immediately. This may be because I am using a Mac. Thanks for your responses.

deleted a bunch of shows to reclaim some hard drive space.
Best advice would be, in my opinion, buying an external drive.
I bought a 5TB one just for Istripper shows, and am very happy about it.

Go to data folder and run a search for *del* or *vhddel* then go to models folder and delete the same numberred folders. Make sure folder is not read-only. That prevents overwriting but might also prevent the deleting, not sure.
