Synaps retain your ID, and it's available to the vendor. I know this, because I run a crypto game and use Synaps.

I have KYC'd because I trust Synaps (after working with them for some time) and TotemCore as they've been around for many years and have been expanding their project ecosystem. Trust matter IMO, and these guys have been reliably building great products and a great company.

But yeah: poor security from either provider means you could have your ID out in the wild.

My wallet is linked to my account, and I've purchased DOLZ with the same wallet, but the credits haven't appeared. Anyone got insights as to what's going wrong?

Sometimes although your account gets updated on Totem's servers (which is the important place) what is displayed by the app fails to get updated due to network glitches etc.

Have you tried a manual "synchronise with servers" via the app's settings page ? You need to enable advanced options to see this option.

Have you checked your account history ? You have the option to see this when you click on your user name in the top left corner of the app.

Thanks so much! I did try synchronising, and it didn't add the credits. I also checked the account history and there's no listing of the transactions.

I'm sure they need to keep your id in case of audit but I doubt it's 'on the internet'. I don't know who asked for the ID (Totem/Dolz, the exchange?, someone else?) but there are laws in the US and others that should protect your privacy. My guess is the exchange has your ID so you might try figuring out where the exchange is and what laws protect you.

I have what's left of my crpto in US banks & brokerages (Robinhood and Sofi) so they had my identity in order to open the accounts. Robinhood feels more than a little shady but it is covered by US laws so I'm not to worried about my privacy.

I don't even have the keys to my crypto so technically is being held in my behalf (and not insured). I was on a list for a wallet at Robinhood. I don't plan to use the wallet but was curious to see what a crypto wallet looked like. Not sure what if anything I'll do with the crypto but I am sure I wont spend it on NFTs.

Thanks for the support everyone! Turns out I was the problem - I approved the transactions but didn't actually complete the purchase, so I missed out! Anyway, I completed the transaction so even though I missed the bonuses all's well in the end. Can't wait for this launch :)
