Questions after buying a new laptop

So I bought a new Windows laptop. Before I just had my windows desktop and an Ipad. I did not buy the laptop primarily for Istripper, but I did want to have a few cards available.
I set up my account (Only my second install in 14 years!) No "reset" needed! But I did have trouble figuring out how to stop Istripper. I was so used to just clicking the "S".

How can I download 10 or 20 shows without rebuilding the collection? Doesn't that take a lot of memory? Actually, I have downloaded three but there all these numbers 1- 3000+ showing cards not downloaded. I would like to have just the cards I have chosen to download shown...but keep all of them on my desktop computer.

The app indicates that I should download in 720P because the show "would be bigger than my screen." I downloaded three shows in 4k 3k and 1080P and I see slight differences, especially between 1080 and 3k. I didn't get a dedicated graphics card but I did get a high end display. None are "bigger than my screen."

Suggestions? My relevant data:

Rebuild does not download the clips so that would not be a problem. Just download the shows that you want to have. Or you can copy the files from your other PC if you still have access to them.

I would like to have just the cards I have chosen to download shown

There is a filter on the My Collection tab for that purpose. If you enable only the "Downloaded" entry in the "Downloads" filter then they are all that you will see.

@TheEmu

Thanks! I had forgotten about the downloaded filter.

Also great idea about the files on my desktop. Should have known that! Duh. That's why they invented thumb drives.

What resolution do most members use on a laptop?

my laptop is older and only 1920x1080 resolution. So for me, 1080 is optimal

My resolution is 2880 x 1800. The Istripper software suggests a download in 720P. I tried that and the model only filled half the screen. I guess the software doesn't recognize resolution, but does recognize a somewhat smaller screen.

Newer Laptops come out of the box with Windows Screen Scaling enabled.
usually between 125% and up to 200%
It's used to make tiny text look bigger on a Physically Small, High Resolution Screen.

iStripper detects the Scaled Resolution.
So even though your Screen is 1800 Pixels Tall, with Scaling, iStripper Might Detect only Half of that, 900 Pixels.

Go Visit this Post and read the two Threads it links too.
it explains Two ways to get iStripper to Ignore Screen Scaling.

I'd recomend 3K resolution clips for your Laptop.
If you already have cards in 4K,
test them and see how the performance is.

But remember, the iStripper app is currently only 32 bit.
So there is a 3.5GB Memory limit.
Multiple 4K clips eat up Memory fast. Maybe 3 to 5 girls at the same time is the max in 4K.
But 3K you should be able to get all 10 before hitting the Memory limit.

Clips only fill; half the screen.

In Settings, Uncheck the box,
Don't zoom over 100% of the clips orig. Size.
