I don't have a whole lot to spend so I have to keep myself from buying anymore, besides, I already have 36 cards and I'm only here for 2 days.

I bought a discounted card and a booster pack to get the cards a bit cheaper, the premium membership doesn't seem to be worth the money unless I'm planning to buy over a 110 cards within a year. I also bought some of the older cards because of the discount.

Do you have any suggestions on getting cards cheap by smart buying? The booster pack seems like a great way to get a bit extra out of my money.

Thanks, I do want to buy more cards but since I don't have a whole lot to spend I want to buy smart, I did buy the 250 credits, but I didn't think I'd be doing that 2 more times lol, had too many cards in my wishlist to ignore, Florane Russell and Kira Thorn are amazing, I am not here to collect as many cards as possible, I prefer certain models and I want XXX rated cards (unless other cards have a great offer and a really pretty model).

Yes, wanted to say, I knew it was worth it because the chances are still high as a new user, I didn't play it at first because I didn't see it allowed you to pin certain cards, so I made sure I excluded the already discounted cards and got all xxx models, gave myself a maximum of 10 redraws, at that point it's not really gambling because I know I'll get something good 100% :)

The classic collection are most of the original 'Virtuagirl' cards done in 420p on magnetic tape.

They don't look very crisp on newer equipment for the most part and are really only offered for collectors who just 'want it all'.

They can be played in the 'full screen' mode using both Totem's and many other user's self created 'scenes' and done this way through your machines GPU they look somewhat better than if played in 'small size' directly on your desktop.

They do have another redeeming value in that they are significantly less expensive to buy and if you get them all it will move you towards your first diamond rather quickly. But this is really only a good idea if you know that you plan to get all the cards from the start since they really are not the best quality compared to more recent cards.

I read you get access to a classic collection at 100 cards, what does this mean?

These are very Old Classics intended for the Nostalgic Collector.
They are Lower Quality Remastered from old 240p digital tapes, upscaled to 480p

But if a member is looking to Level up to get better Discounts on the Premium cards.
then this is a cost effective way to reach the Higher levels.

For us Nostalgic collectors like myself, I enjoy them, even with the lower Quality.
And they Have as a bonus, Great Photo Sets, and often a bonus video.

Each Classic is made up from a set of 4 to 5 outfits in the same classic card.
a few clips from each outfit.

The Photo Sets are made up from all the different outfits.

Ok, thanks everyone for all of the information, I might like some of the classic ones I don't mind lower quality if the content is good.

I do remember downloading a virtual girl type desktop thing back in the early 2000s when I was way too young for something like that, I had all kinds of stuff like bonzi buddy and other spyware garbage so that's how it ended up on my computer, my parents didn't like it, I don't know about the evolution behind all of this, but by the looks of it all of these desktop strippers are now all 1 single app.

So yeah, if there are some great 2000s pornstars I'm certainly interested.

I'll reinforce what others have said. Mainly, be patient. The cards will be there next week and next year*.

1. Set yourself a budget and live within it. Buy $50 worth of credits when you can afford it. If you are patient, you will be able to take advantage of recharge bonus that will get you 600 credits for $50. These bonuses come by 4-5 times each year.

2. Enjoy the previews and use the wishlist to mark cards you plan to buy.

3. The best deal around is the 4th card refund offer. You buy 4 cards and get a refund for the 4th. That's at least a 25% saving. However, if you buy 3 lower quality cards and then a 3K card you percent saving will be greater. The deal comes around 4-5 times a year.

4. Never buy cards at full price. If you are patient you can get them cheeper via a special offer.

5. Don't buy cards you won't play. Play a 720p card or demo on your computer and compare its quality to a 1080p and to a 3K. I've found that 1080p and 3K are acceptable on my computer. However, some of my favorite models are only available in 720p. For them, I occasionally reset my scale and play only 720p cards for a few days. The same is true of the "classic" 480p cards, but more so. Buying a low resolution card you won't play just to get to the next higher discount level is not a good deal.

The best overall strategy is:

1. Wishlist the cards you plan to buy from previews or based cards you already own.

2 When a recharge bonus comes along buy as many credits as you can afford. If you can't afford at least $50, wait till the next recharge bonus.

3 Don't spend anything until the 4th card refund offer comes along. When it does, spend all your credits on sets of 4 cards. For each set, buy the 3 cheepest cards from your wishlist and then for the 4th buy the most expensive. Repeat until you are out of credit, but plan ahead to ensure you have enough credits to buy a set of 4 cards.

4. Now wait for the next recharge bonus and repeat.


Some of the TGIF specials are good deals for buying cards at a low price, but most don't give you a choice of which cards you get. With a small collection the chance of discovering a gem you wouldn't otherwise buy is worth the risk of getting a card you don't want if the price is right. With a large collection the possible reward is less because you probably already own the cards you like.

• Some cards do not stay in the store forever. In, I think, 6 cases in the past 10 years a model has demanded that her cards be removed. The first time this happened Totem when to court and lost. Now they simply comply with the request. Sometimes Totem will give advanced notice if this is about to happen. Sometimes they can't. So there is a small chance that a card you plan to buy will disappear. This is a very small risk. If you already own such a card, you can keep it and continue to play it.

I must admit that I don't follow the strategy I described. Before the Premium option came out, I purchased my most favorite cards immediatly and wishlisted the rest. Now with Premium I simply purchase all desireable cards as they come out with the 20% discount. Since I buy about 70% of all new cards and I have a 40" 4K display, I think I'm getting a good deal.

I just started with the cards I'm most interested in, but I'm also interested in discounted cards if they look nice :)
I've also been pretty much just browsing and wishlisting, makes it easier to plan out buying something.

If you're getting a good deal is pretty easy to calculate though, whatever you are paying for the cards now, subtract the amount you save (for me it's 22,5 a card, 20% would mean 18 for each card, meaning I'd safe 4,5 on every purchase)
If I were to buy 2x250 credits that would cost me 60 euro, so at that rate 500 credits is around 60 euro, so that means for me a premium membership should be worth as much as 500 credits. premium costs 60 a year, meaning you'd have to buy a 100 cards to reach 450 in savings, 110 for 495, so it takes 112 cards for me to get my money worth out of a premium membership.

But wtf am I talking about, I'm not here to do math lol.

@BillGapes - any calculations you make about the ecconomics of becoming a Premium member based on what you currently pay will soon become obsolete because you are only a few cards off becoming a Gold member and this will lower the prices you pay for cards. From the User Manual

Silver members (10-39 full nude shows in your collection) get -10% on all shows .
Gold Members (40-99 full nude shows in your collection) get -20% on all shows.

Diamond Members (300-749 full nude shows in your collection) get-35% on all shows.
Double Diamond Members (750-1499 full nude shows in your collection) get -40% on all shows.

In general becoming a Premium member does not pay off unless you plan to buy a lot of cards each year (and the higher your membership level the greater that number of cards has to be) or unless you want access to the 4k resolution. Totem could, of course, choose to provide the occasional extra benefit to Premium members (in order to encourage more customers to become Premium members) but there is no reason to think that they are planning to do so at the moment.

It always pays to consider the math. I buy about 250 cards a year. At my level and because I only buy credits when a discount is offered, each card costs about $1. That's the price of candy bar, but $250 a year is a meaningful expense. By comparison I spend about $450/year on other porn sites like MetArt and Watch4Beauty, so iStripper is my biggest single expense for recorded porn.

re: 4K

I have a 40" 4K display. I've discovered tht a 4K card looks a lot better on that display than a 3K card. The 20% discount saves me about $50 so I'm paying about $10 per year to get higher quality cards. For me that's a good deal.

Since I already own all the older cards I like, my current buying strategy is to buy new cards that I like as soon as they come out. If I see an older card I like on preview with a flash sale discount of 20% (rarely happens), I'll buy it. If I decide I'd like some other older card (typically a new model whose first cards I passed on), I wishlist it and wait for a 4 cards with refund sale.

I only by credits when there is a recharge bonus. When a bonus comes along, I recharge to 1500 credits or more which is enough to last me 6 month or tilll the next bonus.

It's kind of what I meant yes, I didn't bother to check out if the math is different for each rank, but the lower the card count for it to be worth it, the more worth premium is on its own. I'm sure I'm going to buy those 4 cards and gain a rank, then I will do the math again and see if there is any change worth it. Because I'm sure I'll get 4 cards, but 111+ would just pressure me into buying more for no reason.

Being 4 cards away from gold made it too tempting, and I shouldn't have been checking out other cards of my favorite girls, I just had to get them, I hadn't heard of Tracy Smile before getting iStripper, and what got me into it was the legalporno girls, but wow what a beautiful woman, same for Anny Aurora, I did the gambling thing again but this time I was less lucky, besides being really lucky during the first draw with 2 Anny Aurora cards.

Edit: and now I own 8 Tracy Smile cards, I bought those at full price, I got the first from the gambling pack I enjoyed it a lot so I wanted more of this girl, there are 8 more and I do want those too, I have the credits left to get those, I just want to keep it above 200 for now and wait for some deals.

Ohh that's what I meant yes, so not the best deal but I really like those cards, 20 each now so for each 4 I get 1 extra compared to new user prices. Still some impulse buys though, it will most likely become less when I have the best cards in my wishlist, so keeping 200 creds and hoping for some good deals soon.

Lol, yes, I said that when I had 36 cards, I spent a bit extra because I liked the idea of having a nice "starter pack" with a bit of variety and then just enjoy those for a while, thing is, it had cards from girls I wanted more of. That and, I never really watched stripteases before as it didn't interest me, so I had no idea I'd enjoy it this much or how amazing some women can dance.

So now I'm quite satisfied with the cards I have, there are a few that weren't as interesting as I hoped, but now I know what to look for and is most important to me.

1. Skirts and dresses make it irresistible to me.
2. Apparently I prefer the curvy women over the very skinny ones, dancing look way hotter.
3. It's a striptease, just if the woman is hot doesn't mean she has good moves, this is more important to me than I expected.

For now I like Tracy Smile but I think Vicky Love is amazing too and I've been looking at her more, love the classy short dresses.
