Hello, I just bought my first fair share of super hot cards, I was curious what will this girls show me in 30-40 minutes, especially the XXX ones... but then I've seen they do some light stuff, and just when they START their XXX part it was already OVER! They started again with clothes on and sometimes the girls will just disappear from sight after 5-10 minutes or so. This is not what I thought I'd be getting when I bought them. Some of these XXX cards are trully pretty worthless. Feels almost like a joke. I can only hope not all of them are like this. And most girls talk to you in Russian and Czech language and sometimes sounds just disappears in the middle of the clips. In conclusion, Istripper is a neat idea, very user friendly and has many great options... but sadly content-wise, leaves a lot to be desired.

About the XXX content: Totem has been reducing it for the past year or so. That doesn't bother me because I more interested in the dancing. Hopefully someone who enjoys XXX will recommend some hot cards for you. Is there some kind of scene you particularly like?

About language: Totem has chosen to let the models speak whatever language they find comfortable. Many of us like that, but others want English. At one time only XXX cards had speaking clips, but now some of the regular cards do too.

About sound drop-outs: This is a problem. It seems to depend on your computer. On mine, most of the time I hear everything. Then sometimes I don't. Can't figure out why.

By the way, there are ways to make it play all the clips of a card, but I don't know how. Hopefully someone else will help you there.

Via the settings page of the iStripper GUI you can control many things, these include how long each card will play for, how big a gap there is between cards and what levels of eroticism are to be shown. Adjust these settings to suit your tastes. The settings page is accessible via the cogwheel icon in the top righthand corner of the GUI, note that one of the first options it offers is to enable "advanced" settings which, when ticked, makes more options available than when not ticked. Also, please use tutorials on the "Help" page, available via the small "i" in a circle icon just to the right of the gear wheel, and read the user manual which is also accessable via the help icon.

If you are mostly interrested in XXX clips, I am not, then you should buy cards from the iStripper XXX collection. Use the "Collections" filter on the "Girls Store" page to show you which cards these are.

@Dorisai6: I don't see what's the point of having XXX cards, if they are so similar to the standard ones. Although XXX action is cool, and I can only wonder how a real cut-out porn would look like on desktop, I have bought some XXX cards, but also some standard ones. ... I still give priority to seeing something extremely cute dance and do sexy things on my desktop.

I find it a little bit disturbing tho, that every scene with an new outfit counts as a card, basically, eventually, they could make them ad infinitum and still won't give you any cards for free. Maybe I'm comparing this to a free to play video game of the likes of Dirty Bomb where every week you get a turn of the rooster cards with 3 or 5 new characters to play with for a week, fully unlocked and then you get loot boxes where you can get free cards. The similarities are astounding. It's all about a fair promotion, but at least you know exactly what you get.

A scene that I would particularly like? I don't know, for now I miss matures, I miss regular porn on a desktop experience, how would it look like? I think it could be done easily, since a lot of girls already do porn and in some clips see 2 girls or even 4 girls on screen. I would replace 2 of them with men and watch a complete desktop orgy, why not?

Another thing that I really don't like is the abrupt termination of XXX clips after they just start to get hot. It kinda feels like a demo. Maybe it's the catch to tweak the duration, and the movie will not end so abruptly, but I'm not sure. I was watching that hot Estonika girl, the one with the yellow pants, (card: the right girl) and as soon as she started to moan and enjoy her self pleasuring session it ended abruptly. Was that a simulated orgasm? I mean did she come, is that why it ended? Could be...

About the language, well I'm not much against them speaking foreign language, but I love dirty talk and it missed potential if it's not understood, perhaps subtitles would solve this ;)

Sound Drop-outs, I noticed that with one girl the sound just disappeared as soon as the scene restarted with her clothed, but it was another variation of her stripping down, I guess that one had no sound, seems a logical explanation.

Would be nice if we could play all the clips of the card!

If I click on random small help icons scattered on the settings screen, nothing happens, I guess it's a feature that is coming soon? I already bought XXX cards, some more than regular ones, but I don't see much XXX going on. So it's this aspect is rather disappointing. It is true tho, that I didn't look yet at all the cards or scenes from the cards that I bought.

How to play all clips On the setting page mentioned by @TheEmu in the desktop setting slide the show duration control to the far right so it says "All Clips". That is supposed to work, but I've never tested it. I've heard some people say that it doesn't always work. In the same control group, you can disable types of clips you don't want with the Levels of eroticism setting.

If the "All Clips" setting doesn't work, you only other choice that I know of is to make a play list. You can make a playlist of just those clips you want to see for a single card or for all your cards. To do this open the "My Collection" tab from the too bar and the Playlist tab on the far right. Now, select as card by double-clicking it. This will open a detailed window with a group of icons on the upper right, third row down. Click on the clips icon on the far right of the detail page, not the playlist area. You should now see a list of clips for that card with the XXX clips noted. If you double-click a clip, you can make it play immediately. If you like it, ***** that clip to the playlist list on the right. Do this for as many clips as you with from multiple cards if you wish. When done, save it with a name you like.

Once you've created a playlist you can reopen it to add or delete clips and to change the order. Just remember to save it.

Once you have created a playlist, you can load it into the Now Playing tab and it will play. The Random checkbox with shuffle your clips when it is off they will play in the order you created them bottom up. The Repeat checkbox will play the list over and over. When off it will play just once.

In your position, I'd make a playlist for each model with clips from all her cards. Then I'd load multiple playlists and let them play. This gives you complete control of what you see and even the order in which the clips are shown.

One small note, in regular cards there are transition clips which are automatically inserted between regular clips. There is no easy way to control when these appear, but there are none in iStripper XXX cards.

Dirty Talk There is not much of that in iStripper. The closest is Lucy Li in some of her XXX cards. I don't recall which.

I'm not on my computer right now, so I can't include screen shots or look up the most talkative of Lucy's cards.

@rageinblack - the "smalll help icons" are not clickable, they are "tooltips" and just hovering the mouse over them for a second or so will result in a short explanatory text being displayed.

@Dorsai6: Thanks for the detailed explanation. I wanted to check the individual clips but It seems that the icon to do so has been removed. I have seen screenshots on some other forum thread so I know exactly what you're talking about, and I don't have that sixth icon there. I have checked all my cards looking for this. I only have these icons in order: detals, comments, pictures, videos, (other) cards. So that sixth icon is definitely missing. Unless it's a plug in. I read there are user made plugins that people use.

@rageinblack - the "clips list" icon is not displayed by default but it has to be enabled by via the "Display clips list" tickbox inthe Display section of the settings. It is regarded as an advance setting so you need to ensure that "Advanced Settings" are enabled via the first item on the settings page.

At one point I think you had to be a Gold member (having bought 40 cards) before the clips list option became available, but I am not sure that is still the case.

TheEmu: lol, I wonder why they chose this option, to make the icon hidden. I'll try if it works when I get home... Thanks again!

User Interface design like a lot of engineering is a about making trade-offs between conflicting choices. In this case, a good UI should not ***** the user, but it should make all capabilities apparent. An exception is game design where finding hidden features is often part of the fun.

I tend to lean strongly in the direction of explicit clearly marked controls which is why I don't like the need to right-clip some of the iStripper icons. The right design point depends on whether you are designing for new or casual users or regular expert users. For a new user, things need to be visible and explicit. For an expert user, hidden controls are often OK.

I believe that Totem's design point is the new or casual user. They want a UI that is not visually cluttered. That makes sense, but hidden controls are not a good idea for this class of user.

With regard to the clips icon, I don't think it should ever be hidden. The number of controls in that group, six, is not too many to be *****. I see no need to have a control that enables/disables that control and it shouldn't start disabled with a hard-to-find control to turn it on. In this case, I strongly disagree with Totem's design choice.

I've had that control on for so long that I forgot it needed to be enabled which is another argument for it being bad design.

I had the same issues with the XXX cards when I first started. I discovered they vary from card to card. Some have a lot of XXX content that doesn't cut away, and others have a tiny amount. It does not appear that you can check how much XXX content each card has before buying it unfortunately. I think the only way to have an idea of how much is in a card would be to ask other users who have purchased it. I can recommend the Marina Visconti XXX cards. She does a lot of self pleasure with dildos, particularly her 0095 card.

This kind of hits the main issue I have with the most recent iteration of VGHD/Istripper. There is a massive amount of missing information about cards. If I was a new user I would not buy cards with the current review system. Back in the day there was a website, encouraged by totem, where the designer reviewed nearly every card in a fairly objective manner. He gave plenty of information about the contents of the card to the point where it encouraged buying. As I bought cards I realized he was pretty accurate in his descriptions and began to trust him. At this point my collection of 10 cards exploded to hundreds because I had a base line to decide which of the 2 thousand cards I should be buying. Now people are going to argue that each person has fetish and their own subjective desires but statistically there is a middle group that is going to want good eye contact, good energy, skill with the body, and beauty. And if buying xxx a real orgasmic experience. Looking at a demo and reading the poor reviews provided by the community a new buyer just cannot commit money to the mystery that is an istripper card. When I used to post my favorite gifs and my reviews I was amazed how many people responded that they would now buy a card, or they were suprised how good that card was...if totem is creating a product that they are proud of then more transparency can only help. Hiding the contents of a card tells another story and has to discourage new users.

Also interesting thing to point out, I was amazed to see that some girls attract me like hell with certain hairstyle, make-up and outfits while in others they don't look so appealing, like, almost at all. Sometimes it's also just about the expression on their face, the energy they emanate, honestly there are so many micro factors that constitute a whole verdict, as to why a card is more valuable than another to me that it's kinda scary :D

@SittingDuck: since I prolonged under the settings, the display time of clips, as Dorsai6 kindly explained to me, it's been much better. I checked the girl, really not my type, it has nice big boobs tho ;)

@Dorsai6: Yeah but in the end it's a pretty complex client software, it offers really a lot of ares with unique functionalities. I say it's not the smartest of the designs, and some things can be tweaked, but it's still pretty good over all. I just miss some more individual info about a single card before I buy it, the nude picture under the rating popup that pops up from the right side of the screen is not enough I'd say. Also meybe more individual text descriptions would be welcome for each card. Right now it seems it's the same text for a model under all of her cards, just slightly differ for a word or two when you compare them. Another thing I'm missing and it's an important one, I don't get any notifications of the post relplies on the fourms, is there a hidden setting for that too? :D

and how about a ctrl+F function to find a certain word on the whole thread page on the forums? That would be a logical thing to implement.

The picture sets are not actually stills from the card but they are a separate set of photographs taken with the same set of clothing being removed and therefore present a good impression of each card but of higher quality than if they has been taken during the actual shoot.

For members who are mostly interested in XXX-content, it would be helpful if...

1) The "clip-view"-page was available for cards not in your collection. At least you would be able to see, how many clips rated XXX there are in the card and what is their duration. Now you can watch clip level information only after you have purchased the card.

AND/OR...

2) The preview was a full length video-file/gif of the card with VERY low resolution, e.g. 320px x 180px, which would enable you to see roughly, what takes place in the card but which is so low quality that it wouldn't be a replacement of the card to any potential buyer.

Asking about the content of other users is a good idea, too, but it also is subject to very different interpretations of what is XXX and what is not.

I even turn down the brightness in nvidia control panel so I can see the entire picture set in thumbnail view but it really only shows a small portion of the positions and it can be misleading. There are several cards where the picture set has props or positions that do not show up in the actual show. The new Rebecca Volpetti show is an example. There are multiple stills of her doggy showing decent flexibility. The actual show that costs money has nothing close to this. It is impossible to convince people of the power of transparency and a decent objective reviewer who posts reviews on an affiliate site, because that site was shutdown during the transition to istripper from vghd. We don't see the thousands of new users who have to pay $2.50 per card, who peruse the demos, and limited pics, and read vague reviews, and then just delete the software because buying a single set of one girl costs them a month sub to another porn site. I personally have so many cards because I could read reviews on most cards, pick the highest rated card and buy it, fall in love with the girl based on the top card and then buy the rest. And the rating was accurate and based off of criteria, not what we have today where one card is 4.40 because the girl doesn't have shoes on, and 4.80 because she has a costume on.

Card info Many of us feel that Totem can and should provide more pre-sale information. In particular, it would not be hard to make the clip list of each card available prior to purchase. This is a decision that Totem has made and that they can change.

Thread Notifications No, there doesn't seem to be any such mechanism here. You can follow one of two strategies:
1. Check the list of threads in each section which shows the ones with the most recent additions on top looking for the threads you want to follow.
2. Check all the new postings.
I use the second approach

Forum Search Yes there is a search function on the main forum page. I'm not sure how well it works, but you can enter a word and it will find all messages containing that word.

How to play ALL clips, Right click on the girls play button then on play all clips.

@orclover I Agree withwhat you said. And yes you're right there are photosets, lol and I've seen them before and I totally forgot about them. Maybe my brain thought that I can see them only on the cards I own.

I agree with the video rating criteria, it's pretty much ridiculous, hard to orient yourself by ratings, it's almost useless. I usually choose a girl then I ***** all of her cards in the playlist. then I can click on one by one to see if they are XXX or regular and also to see the full figure body preview picture. So I download the video previews of each card that interest me, and if I want to buy it, I put it on the top of the playlist, under this circumstance Istripper client could use a shopping cart to put your models in... that would be handy.

The video previews are definitely the best way to see if you want to see more or to determine a card is just nothing special or it may even repel you in some cases. Sometimes a different setup such as make up outfit or heirstyle make a difference like day and night. But so far, I'm pretty happy with my choices. I maybe regret buying 3 cards out of 32... Thosewere obviously impulsiver choices, without another careful video preview before the purchase... One must never hurry.

I ***** tho, the fact that preview pictures differ so much from the preview videos in color and lighting. I think Totem should implement something like Nvidia control panel, since you mentioned it, into their client so we can adjust brightness, gamma, contrast, saturation of the models in real-time and not the whole monitor, as with Nvida cp, but just the models.

@Dorsai6 I use the first approach, and I look for my nickname. No, I didn't mean a forum search, I know there is one already. I meant the Search on page function, you know when you search for a certain keyword on a specific forum/thread page. Exactly like every browser has implemented "Control + F" function. And the Istripper client is basically a browser. it has f5 for refresh page, backspace to go back to a previous page etc,... It's almost like the steam client :)

Ah! I always use my web browser to access this forum, never the iStripper application. Of course, the browser's find-function only works on the current page.

@rageinblack - you can access the forums via the web site using whateber web browers you want. There are advantages in doing that, one being "find in page" and abothe being able to open forum pages in separate tabs. It would be preferable to have these functionalities in the GUI, but if you want them they are readily available - just click on your "Edit Profile" icon in the GUI's title bar and then on the "Website" button on the bottom of the left hand side.

Periodically, I find myself needing to remind people that Totem is a really small company, they have around 20 people more or less and the numbers fluctuate and many do more than one job.

Who cares you might say, well you should, the more people the more costs and hence higher prices to cover the costs.

This is a unique product that is targeted in its approach. Totem have made it clear many times over the years, that they are not interested in hard core porn and the level that they will go to varies over times and especially with what the model is prepared to do.

So the market for this product is limited, with demand very specific, that is why some off shoots that Totem has tried over the years have not worked and died.

So when you add all this up, there is just not enough people to do all the very many things that people collectively want and we have to accept the constraints of what Totem & the models are prepared to do.

I am new to Istripper and i have only 188 Cards So Far i have been having a great time with it and i leave it on 24/7 I been working on making some Screen Videos of the shows and placing them on my Model Channel. I am not happy with the Sudden Stopping of the show they disappear and come back all dressed again it means i have to record the screen for a much longer period of time and it means doing more editing on the resulting Video I do not mind the once in a while fading out and coming back (as long as they dont end up with cloths on again thats irritating) the other thing that bothers me is the FULL screen show is different than the minimized screen IE: I saw something in the corner that a dancer was doing and i wanted to record it, I went full screen and she was doing something totally different I find this very annoying.. I had Two girls doing something very fun I went to Full screen and once again they were not doing the same thing (meaning i can not do spur of the moment recordings of something i like) Grrr. Well anyway If you would like to see examples of the Videos i am working on I have them posted on my Model channel on Xvideos.. You might have better control if you made playlists of the clips you want. That should give you better control. The latest version of iStripper will indicate what clip is currently playing. When you zoom from small to large see if that changes. It shouldn't.

Also, by making a clip level playlist you can put the clips in an order that pleases you. You need to be aware that fully nude clips can sometimes start fully clothed. For the effect you want, you may need to use just some of the clips in a card.

Not positive, but doesn't posting istripper videos/photos elsewhere ***** the software agreement ?
