Upon arrival at diamond level, you have to buy a round of beers to all others already at diamond level and above.

Many years ago in the UK there was a beer called Double Diamond.
Despite the advertising blurb "A Double Diamond Works Wonders" it was actually awful and at 2s6d a pint it was expensive crap. Fortunately it has now long disappeared into the mists of time along with all the other carbonated keg crap of that era.
I did however feel sorry for all the gnats that were made redundant.
