iStripper and Chromecast

I recently bought a second generation Chromecast to have iStripper run on my TV. It was a few months before the Chromecast Ultra was released, but that's ok as my TV is still an "old" HD model (1920 x 1080). I tried using Chrome (on Windows) to stream the whole desktop and was surprised how smooth everything worked, even full screen and audio.

There are only two problems. My workstation runs on a resolution of 1920 x 1200. The resulting video is properly scaled down to fit my TV's height of 1080 pixels without being stretched, but that also means black bars on the left and right side. To have the video displayed without bars I have to temporarily change the resolution of my computer, which is not practical on a day-to-day basis. It also would mean that I could not use my computer for anything else.

So I thought it would be a good idea to run iStripper within a virtual machine with the correct resolution, but I ran into so many problems that I can't even tell if the resulting performance would even be worth it.

Has anyone tried casting iStripper to a TV and is willing to share his/her experience?

Very nice! Did you use a Chromecast Ultra? Does your computer run on the same aspect ratio?

As for quality, I guess there will be a new generation of cards sooner or later, otherwise it would be hard to satisfy customers as 5K has become standard for many Mac users...

The TV I use is only 1080p and I just use a HDMI cable to connect them. My TV is right next to my PC so I don't have to worry about HDMIs limited cable length.
