July 14th is Bastille Day, a big holiday of similar importance for France: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bastille_Day. Since France is the home of iStripper/Totem, they might be saving their special sales and fireworks for then.

I can't think of any better way of celebrating that day (7/14 if you're in the U.S., 14/7 if you're in Europe) than seeing a TGIF that says, "Buy 7, get one for (1 4) free. Every seventh card you purchase will be reimbursed. That's a 14% discount on each set of 7 you buy." That's probably just wishful thinking on my part, but you can't blame me for being patriotic. 😊

At least an extra card (USA theme) would've been appreciated, that's not asking for a lot I don't think. Imagine Carolina Abril in a stars and stripes bikini, wow that would've been a huge hit!!

With respect to my American friends, Independence Day was not really the first thing I thought of this morning when I woke up. At 6 AM. Actually I'd been awake since 2 AM. Another almost sleepless night :(

Maybe the rest of the world wasn't thinking about it either :/ That's a uniquely American holiday. right?

I occasionally see British holidays honoured, French holidays, international ones too. But how about lesser known ones from countries like Japan, China, Russia, Cuba, Argentina, Spain, Italy... Etc, etc. Are these less worthy of noting?

@HombreSinSombra If you read up on the American independence from England, you'll be amazed at what an accomplishment it was. Not much of an army against the greatest power on earth, at the time. America had good leaders like George Washington and what I believe was Divine intervention. It wasn't easy (many battles lost), but there were key victories and the birth of a nation that, eventually, brought down Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan and the Soviet Empire. Quite a story.

Yes, that is what happened to Independence Day..

The Real reason for Celebrating it, has become Lost... Each Generation is No longer Taught about the Significance
and it is now Just, Fireworks, Get *****, and Party day, without even knowing the real Meaning of it..

Our Parenting / Education system is SO broken in the USA...

All we care about and Promote anymore is LGBTQ rights...
The American Flag has been replaced by the Gay Pride Rainbow flag.

I drive through the city, and see this Flag more that I see the American flag.

Go out on the street and ask an 18 year old about American history.. and they know nothing of it...
ask them about LGBTQ rights, and you will get an ear full.

Go to France, Germany, England, and ask an 18 year old about their History, and they can tell you much of it.
Ask them about Americas history, and they Know more, than the 18 year old Born and raised in America does.

America, the Land of brainwashing, and dumbing down of the Next generation.
The land of, Biological Gender and Science mean nothing, but Psychotic Gender Identity does.
I'm xyz Gender because I think that I am XYZ.

I'm just a bit put off, when I see the 4th of July, turned into a Gay Pride Movement.
A stadium full of people gather to celebrate our Independence, and is instead Subject to a Gay Pride event.
Where the 1st Flag seen is the Rainbow Flag.

Actually, I know quite a bit about the fight for independence against the British rulers of the time. If I'd been around during the late 1700's, I probably would have been on the American side! I've always been on the side that fights for justice and freedom from tyranny 😇

What would have happened if America never gained it's independence? I dread to think! Rule Britannia would be the National Anthem probably for starters 😕

My comment was not meant to offend anyone, merely to point out that this is an international community and the US is not the only focus of Totem's holiday special planning.

I think understand what Wyld is after here. It's not really about sexual rights per say but rather the commodification of education and the "***** side" of the liberal agenda... we are all socialized into obedient consumers trapped in the rat race of a meaningless life. On the subject... I love this new song by Katy Perry!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Um7pMggPnug

Today everything is in flux. History doesn't mean anything... unless you can make money selling it packed into an "experience". Information overload. There are no solid "truths"... everything is in the eye of the beholder. Science has become fiction and knowledge is a commodity on an open market... the one with the most cash backing win the argument regardless what the facts say... cause there are always "alternative facts". Fake News Rule!

It's a scary world we live in...

I think it is appropriate to say that we must do better, but it is very dangerous to imagine that there was a past time when things were better. I simply could ask you to go back and look at media and science over the last 200 years and find a time period where ALL HUMANS had a much choice, health, and prosperity as today. More people do better science today because of technology, freedom, and education. You can't just focus on one small arbitrary nation like Britain or France or America, but the world as a whole. Just last century 200 million people were ***** in class and race warfare, and issues like domestic violence, *****, ***** *****, mental health were ignored or even punished. The fact that the above are visible, may give the appearance of a desperate world but by revealing are wounds we have a chance to heal them.

Dammit! I just typed a long edit to my last post and lost it yet again.

@Wyld: I agree 100% about dumbing down our generations since we were in high school. We are nearly the same age. In the UK, it all changed the year after I left high school.

I think, anyway that in 1980 or very near that year, the British education system merged two types of education standards into one, effectively dumbing down the required pass standard.

Many years later, in my early 30's, my gf at the time (same age) wanted to study a course at university but needed two more GCSE passes to get in, maths being one of them. I offered to help her as maths wasn't her strong subject. She showed me the syllabus of 50 chunks of maths topics and problems, designed for 16 year olds of the day. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I was taught this stuff between 8 and 12 years old. I aced this whole thing with 100%. I KNOW I did. It was just too easy for me.

Here in Spain, it's even worse. I've met a handful of very smart Spaniards but most others can't do simple addition in their heads. They HAVE to use a calculator for something as simple as, '100 +75 +30.' WTF???

Yep. We're going backwards until a few people with the balls to fight for the standards we had as teenagers step up and put it right again! 😒

Not that he needs any defending but in Wyld's defence, He was NOT gay *****! He was pointing out that the symbolism and meaning of Independence Day has been lost in this day and time. He sees other flags that to some peeps seem more important than the national history. That's what I read anyway...

I'm not personally a nationalist or defender of the UK, nor a patriot. I'm from the planet Earth. Wherever I lay my baseball cap, THAT's my home! That's now Spain. It probably will be till I die. Purely because I like it here 😎

Actually, that is a little more disturbing! Surprised that Wyld or another Mod hasn't questioned or removed that yet... I thought Jordanians were allies of the US and UK in particular???

But is the flag actually ***** or is it a cropped pic of something nice? Hmmm...

Well given the fact that the person joined on 4th of july to add a picture of a ***** american flag, it is quite obviously a huge troll. Heck the only card he has is the free one you get as a singup bonus so i doubt the person is even here for actual strippers.

I'm prepared to give someone the benefit of doubt. Innocent until proven guilty as always, right? We can speculate on the intention all night but until I know facts, our friend remains innocent.

If he is guilty of spreading malicious, anti-American propaganda, then may he ***** himself. Preferably with an IED that failed to work as advertised 😈

Re: France

If the UK had not been at war with France at the time of the revolution, we would have lost. The American revolution was a side show from the British perspective.

I agree lots of things was much worse in the past... but the main point is that if we don't learn from History we are bound to make the same mistakes... just wait until ISIS or some other disgruntled a-hole get their hands on some nukes... We are not that far from it with North Korea!

Also, selling out education is a great way to dumb down a whole generation... and it will probably take more than a generation to correct the problems we create today. And it's not just the USA... many countries in the EU are following in the same direction. Today, getting information isn't the problem, it's learning to see through the information overload and get to the core of the issues at hand. Lot's of smoke and mirrors at play!

We have to start NOW! guys. I doubt there's any kind of conspiracy to dumb the kids down, just liberalist educators who had a tough time learning when they were kids, fighting back because they were too freaking lazy to learn.

IQ's never change. Learning capabilities and speed of thought never change!

What changes is the information available to help us expand. The desire to achieve certain goals can be manipulated by holding back info until much later on.

Maybe it is a conspiracy by pseudo-intellectuals to hold everyone back until they feel they can catch up with the smarter peeps. Speculation, of course but it does fit.

Einstein was held back for many years because his science and imagination was beyond everyone else's at the time and they laughed at him. Ridiculed him even.

You're sooo right jununger.

Let's teach the kids of today to THINK beyond what they are taught. I dumped religious knowledge classes when I realised it was all BS. Apart from being the most boring class ever.

I would agree there is no conspiracy to dumb kids down but there is also no incentive to teach others. When you pay teachers near minimum wage to the point youll earn more money if you go slapping on roof tiles on houses then you loose out on all the potential of great minds teaching your kids at the rate they can absorb real information because they will earn a metric ton more money with something else.

I see shortsighted greed as the cause of education deficiency.
In reality its the schools that get funded by major corporations that produce wel educated kids and the goverments just makes sure they know what 1+1 equals.

I became a US citizen 10 years ago and sadly I have to agree with @Wyld, having watched the gradual decline.
Unfortunately, my president is doing little to help. He promised so much but acts like a spoilt ***** with no effin idea how to be a president. I am ashamed I voted for him.

On a totally different topic..... what about the sexy 22 year old golfer Paige Spiranac. WOW I have suddenly developed an interest in watching golf.

Actually, I do feel ***** by @Wyldanimal's comment. But then, as a tranny, I feel ***** by normal society anyway for having to have an allegiance to the "rainbow flag".

That being said, I fully support Wyldanimal when he says that the celebration of the birth of the nation, any nation for that matter, should not be shoved aside by any other cause.

These days, the standards of public education is geared to the lowest common denominator.

Ya i have never understood the link with a rainbow flag and LGBT. Here in holland one city even went so far to make a rainbow colored crosswalk to celebrate gay acceptance. (like they want ppl to be run over by cars due to lack of visibility as there is a reason they are normally white)
Also in terms of science true white contains all colors in the light spectrum so if one would want to be all inclusive...

How ever i would suggest magenta as that the only visible color we don't really see because our brain cant tell the difference between red and blue at that specific spectrum and the brain turns it into what we perceive as magenta.
