Why spread the discussion functionality over multiple platforms ? What possible advantage would it bring to anyone if half of the discussion of a topic was in one place and the other half elsewhere ?

There is a Discord Server for iStripper already.
It is for the Mobile Platform.
But no reason a new Channel couldn't be added for the Desktop version.


The advantage would be Live Chats and or Video Chats.
That take place in real time instead of just posting messages and waiting for a response.

Just to add to the advantages list

• Live support -> I've seen a adult game company use discord to provide "Live support" to users via text or voice chat depending on the issue
• Editors club -> Same discord mentioned above has a dedicated channel to help people who make custom assets for the game (Could be useful for those who make skins / screensavers and custom tools for istripper)
• You could argue that a Discord channel would be more accessible for some users when compared to forums, and because its a "live environment" it could create a better sense of an active community, which I think can be seen in the iStripper Mobile discord already.

There are already dedicated sections of the forum for those activities. Duplicating the functionality elsewhere would mean that many members would not see everything that is relevant.

The best way to use the Discord server is for short, quick chat sessions.

Benefits include being able to see if the person you want to talk to is online and then being able to have "real time" conversations with them.

But.....

You cannot create threads - all conversations will appear in one thread (usually the "general" thread) and will therefore be mixed in with other people's conversations - though you can DM another member and have private conversations.

Because so much occurs in one channel, it is not the place to post huge, detailed posts. Probably better to chat in Discord and then point your conversation partner to detailed posts in the Forum. That would address the concerns raised by @TheEmu.

I'm a Moderator in Discord. Please read the rules that are posted in Discord (the Rules channel) because transgression will result in your post simply being deleted and serious or excessive violations will result in a Ban.
