re: Platform shoes - are they really necessary?

Are the ridiculously high platform shoes worn by some of the models on VirtuaGirl really necessary? I ask this question perfectly seriously because I am always concerned that a model could seriously injure herself if she accidentally missed her footing while dancing on the pole and went over on her ankle. It is a perfectly salient point, which Totem, unfortunately, do not seem to want to have anything to do with. I would be interested to know why this seems to be the case. Is the welfare of the models who work for VirtuaGirl and give us such pleasure not of paramount importance here?

I am sure that the girls' welfare is a great concern for Totem.

I would like to see many more girls go bare foot. Not very many of those.

I agree. More women that go barefoot, or even wearing those Ballet Shoes. Likes these, http://www.urbanix.com/Ballet-Shoes/

Those shoes for some reason are really sexy.

colliedug...I'm sure the girls are well trained in the wearing of "feckme" shoes, being in the stripper, model business. But it brings up the, Why do we like 'em taller as opposed to just as the ladies are? aspect. I once said it was so that guys could catch them easier if they ran! But it more has to do with perceived height and the toning & flex of the woman's legs, especially the calves. Perhaps now, it is also a so accepted aspect of "sexy dress" or at least "stripper dress' that it is almost second nature to wear them in environments like VGHD.It's part of the "dress as sex object" aspect of the whole scene.
Maybe Totem has a special insurance clause in their contract with models protected against "falls from a height of up to 12" and damage incurred from such falls". LOL
Hell men still have to wear ties advertising the hang of the pecker in certain situations (power suit!)too. They're uncomfortable too!

One more vote for bare foot!

Personally - high platforms are really turn-off for me! They always remind me for cheap porn movies.

It will be fair, if each girl appears and barefoot and on high platforms. Personally I like high platforms as they underline elegant long legs of girls more.

High heels are elegant, they emphasise the length of the legs and shape the calf. A girl who is perfectly balanced on high heels is a joy to watch and I am awestruck by the way dancers on Strictly can gyrate on stilletos. Platform shoes are ugly. They increase overall height which may be an advantage in real life but does nothing on stage where there is no way of measuring height. The make the feet look big and clumsy.

The high heels are sexy and become nicer the women's legs. Now the platform shoes don't like this. I ***** the platform shoes, there are don't sexy and with these shoes are possible accidents. I please the Totem pass by the future platform shoes.
PS: I like barefoot girls too.

Honestly, some of the platforms the girls wear are just plain ugly and borderline ridiculous. Of course, I am biased since I prefer barefoot, but I've seen the girls also wear some very pretty strappy heels and to me, those look much sexier and feminine and less like a cartoon character ;)
