I have had vghd and istripper running perfectly for years. I ran a couple of malware cleaner tools and used ccleaner and now my istripper doesn't load the main screen with all the options. It only plays girls but no menu. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times, checked firewall, turned off any virus scan stuff that might delete files and so on. Hopefully someone can help.

I've been having problems for about a week as well. Interface hangs, girls freeze, etc - VERY unresponsive in general and it's slow whether or not the girls are playing so it's not the video.

I reinstalled then upgraded to the latest version, played with firewall, searched windows event logs, etc. I'm starting to wonder if the HD is failing even thought I don't see read errors in event log. My last backup drive failed a couple weeks ago so I'm starting a new backup now then will run a full hard drive test. But it' going to take a bit as it's 6TB of data going over USB 2. I hope it turns out to be the istripper program but have no clue to the cause as of now?

anybody

well, first you really never need more than one of those programs and you really have to
know the things you do before you run cleaners. I mean really every single setting.
They can have deep consequences to your system.

and your case sounds like this. If some system dll's, registry entries or whatever are needed and they were deleted
you can reinstall IS as often as you want to. IS can not repair your windows OS.

any other program have problem's too?

the only thing that can help is to find out what's missing.
  • if you have log files from your cleaners - take a look
  • maybe the event manager can tell you something
  • maybe you have a recovery backup from your OS (a really good thing)
  • or you can repair your system

Sometimes a fully reinstallation of windows can be the only way
if your system was damaged too much.

@Virt4B is a wise man! Whenever I start seeing issues with anything on my PC, I usually do a system restore to a couple of days earlier and 99% of the time, it fixes the issues. Very rarely but sometimes necessary, I've had to wipe my 'C' drive and re-install Windows and every other bit of my favourite software. This can take days to get my PC back the way I like it :(

Fortunately, because I ALWAYS download new stuff to my external drive first, I still have everything I need to hand ;)
