If I should delete all my 3K shows and replace them with 1080p since my monitors resolution is 1080p...it would make more sense (and save me some space) but is there that much of a noticeable difference when both resolutions are in the same size on said monitor resolution??? I could easily figure this out myself but I think it's good to be open to others input before you decide...thanks it is much appreciated! :D

Also...not sure if there is a music thread but this is a great song (remix) for you all you "iStripper insomniac's"...or just in general HAHAHA!!! :P

Pop, imho it depends on how large your screen is. I have a 40" 1080P TV as my monitor. I can see the difference in image quality at this screen size so I download everything in 3K. The 1080P cards still look pretty damned good too :)

If you have a much smaller screen then I doubt you'd see the difference. Seems you already answered your own question if it's about disk space...

Edit: I'm also assuming that your computer can handle the 3K cards. Some don't have fast enough CPU's or GPU's or enough RAM. Totem don't tell us what the minimum requirements are, only which OS versions will work :/

ummm okay I saw your edit...and yeah that's weird that they don't tell us that...I guess most people don't have a clue how to check their cumputer specs lol

anyway here's mine:

AMD A10-7800 Radeon R7, 12 Compute Cores 4C+8G 3.50 GHz

12GB RAM DDR3

My latest cards are all in 1080p...they seem to look about the same as the 3K and run smoother...but I wonder if adjusting my graphics settings would help??? :P

Again, you answered your own question. If 1080P runs smoothly and looks good to you, then stick with 1080P.

There is no Nirvana on this point here. Just enjoy the girls :)

If you are playing 1080p cards on a 1080p monitor at a scale of 70% or less, there is probably no need for a 3K card because you are playing the 1080p card at less than it's native resolution. If you are using a scale of 90% you are scaling up the card and some fuzziness will be present, but you may not notice it. Playing a 3K card at 90% on the same screen will produce a better image, but will take a lot more processing power.

If and when you Upgrade to a 4K screen and Better graphics card and Processor...
you can Always download the 3K version again,
or What I do, Is I download Both..
( since you already have some downloaded in 3k - don't waste the bandwith. Rename the Folders and save them for later )
I download in 3K, rename the models Folder to e0100-3K
then Download the 1080p version, it creates a new folder e0100
so then I have two folders e0100-3K and e0100

I have a 5TB external drive ( 2) actually, 1 is a backup copy of the other.
So I don't worry about the space for now.

All but One of my Computers need the 1080p version as the 3K content Stutters a bit on them.
My work computer is powerful enough to run the 3K cards on my 4K screen.
So there I use the 3K clips.

But at home, I can only run ( smoothly ) the 1080p clips.

PS: anytime I want to switch versions, I just rename my folders..
e0100 --> e0100-1080
e0100-3k --> e0100

Take a few seconds if I just want one or two cards...
but I also have a script that does them all automatically

Just got my copy of TBB Season 9 on DVD this Thursday. I've watched one DVD but two more to go and it's as brilliant as ever. The Comicon panel extra on the first disc is worth watching too :D

I use to watch the show years ago but it quickly got too repetitive and boring to me...some shows do that to me some don't...but everyone's different...one that I can watch over and over again is The Office (American Version)

Can't wait till GOT comes out again next year...I just finished (for now) watching Angie Tribeca...funny as **** (to me anyway) ...the only series I'm currently watching is The Last Ship...yeah I was a military brat lol

Angie Tribeca is very funny, it reminds me of Police Squad. I hope they make more and E4 in the UK buy the rights to more seasons. If not that's another boxset for my Amazon wishlist :)

Brooklyn Nine-Nine (shown on E4 as well) is quite good too but I prefer Angie Tribeca's style of comedy. I've only just watched seasons 1-3 of GOT. I struggled to get into it when I first watched it last year but like it now.

I also watch/have watched The Last Ship, Angie Tribeca, Police Squad, Danger Man, The Prisoner, etc.
I want to recommend a new UK series that you may have passed over:
Agatha Raisin.

It's a murder mystery with a comedy touch, very different from the above series but the pace is
also quite different than most traditional type British murder mysteries.

I'm actually not that fluent with TV series...meaning I don't keep up with them...I just watch whatever sounds interesting to me...on the internetz of course...during my "free time" lol
