I am a little put off with the prices and how much they have gone up.
1. The VIP cards have been removed.
2. The cost per credit has doubled.
3. The credits needed to buy a show have also gone up.
I get that Totem is running a business and need to make money but they have to realize that $4.00 for 2 credits is way too much it used to be $5.00 for 7 credits and you could get a show for 1 credit.... to me $12.00 for 8 credits is a rip off.

Totem has to come up with a better pricing plan. I have been a mamber of VG for a few years now and I have 637 cards in my collection. But at these prices I won't be adding any more. So while your prices have gone up I would expect you to see your profits dwindle. Lets be honest VG and DB are fun programs. I really do enjoy the girls but there comes a point where cost vs. what your are getting (a fun program) the cost just isnt worth it....

I guess it all depends on your perspective and discount level. I've always bought credits in block of 50 and, for me in the US, the price hasn't changed. Before the new pricing I bought nearly all my 1080p cards from the carrousel for 1 credit each. Now I can buy a 1080p card for 1.2 credits and a better quality 3K card for 1.44 in the first week. That sounds like a 20% price increase plus 20% extra for the better 3K cards. I still buy most of my cards from the carrousel.

@CJCAT:

Appears you've been away from the forum a while. Many months ago, Totem announced necessary changes to the pricing structure, the carousel and discounts. It was either that or possibly go out of business. The prices hadn't changed for around 8 years.

So, the team warned us all in good time of the changes, here on the website. The reception of this news was obviously mixed but I think the majority accepted that it was necessary. Totem have invested heavily in better quality equipment (4K cameras and better studio lighting, etc.).

Let's break this new pricing structure down...

As Dorsai6 and many others buy credits in 50 blocks, as do I normally, 1 credit costs 1 Dollar or Euro. You are currently on the same level as me at Diamond. In the past, buying from the carousel cost ONE credit, while the model stayed on the carousel then reverted back to TWO credits when she disappeared.

Now, ALL 720P cards cost u and me 1.04 credits regardless of when we buy them. ALL 1080P cards cost 1.30 credits, again regardless. ALL 3K cards cost u and me 1.56 credits for 7 days and then 1.95 credits after that.

At OUR status level, EVERYTHING is cheaper than it was before the changes, presuming you buy credits at the most economic point, ie., 50 credits at a time. You can now buy Classic cards at 0.65 credits if you like those girls!
So, my friend, you might want to rethink your argument a little more.

Totem has increased prices for newer members who probably will be none the wiser but for long-term loyal members, all is good :)

(Ok, past subscription members are a little p'eed off but Totem could not support this any more and survive as a business). This was made clear.

hello
you can see the pricing from different points ...

personally i m not happy that they cancelled subscriptions and from what i see as affiliate turn over went down to 1/3 over the last years ( i do not have all info though )
every card has a break even point (lets say 100 times sold )so every time it s sold over the break even point it s pure benefit except download bandwith ...

without subscription many new users will only invest once and will not reach discount levels as it s too expensif to get there !

currently i m only interested in 3k cards and i buy 1 here and 1 there .with a 3k subscription option i could get them all at a way lower price i hope and would be way more happy as customer...

regards

The value of a single credit has always been $2, or pretty much 2eu, or 2 of your local equivalent currency.
and a single card was always 2 credits, or a value of $4

there were volume discounts,
and the 50 for 50 is still the same..

the Demo tab in the past allowed you to purchase a single card for 1 credit..

that has changed.
the Demo tab isn't used for discounts any more,

ALL cards are now Discounted Based on your user Level.

So you no longer have to wait for that card to show up on the demo tab. It's already discounted.

Totem has not had a price increase in YEARS... almost 10 years..
So this small 20% increase was long over due..
how much cost the cards ?
Price differs from one card to another, depending on the payment option you choose.
Each card cost 1 to 3 credits:
Cards available in 720p, 1080p and 3k cost 3 credits
Cards available in 720p and 1080p cost 2 credits.
Cards only available in 720p cost 1.60 credits.

$4 - 2 credits - regular price, no discount
$12 - 8 credits - 25% discount
$30 - 25 credits - 40% discount
$50 - 50 credits - 50% discount

Discounts are calculated based on your member level.

Silver members with 10-39 cards get a discount rate on all card of 10,00%
Gold Members with 40-99 cards get a discount rate on all card of 20,00%
Platinum Members with 100-299 cards get a discount rate on all card of 30,00%
Diamond Members with 300-749 cards get a discount rate on all card of 35,00%
Double Diamond Members with 750-1499 cards get a discount rate on all card of 40,00%
Triple Diamond Members with more than 1500 cards get a discount rate on all card of 45,00%

New cards in 3k are released with a 20% discount for the first 7 days (2.40 credits) then come back to their normal price 3 credits.

I very much like that Totem is giving us continually a better experiance for our money. thank you very much team. That said however due to circumstances beyond your control. Rate of exchange (for example 50 credits just cost me $75 everybody wants a cut of the exchange rate, your partners charge a percent, the credit card companies charge a percent) that only buys 37 shows at the 3K price point with release day discount. and with 6 new shows a week released, it doesn't go very far. It has now become prudent to scale back my commitment to VG - pardon me, istripper. I have to honest if I was a new customer just getting started there is no way my collection would be anywhere near the size it is. hopefully I'll be able to take advantage of sales aimed at now occasional customers like me looking fill in the holes in our collection.

Normally, I would not admit this as a customer, but I actually believe that the price levels are reasonable. I can honestly say that I would have paid ten times more for some of the cards I really really like. However, I must also state that I didn't know how much I liked these cards until after I bought them. And there are some cards that I would have preferred not to buy so I could use the credits elsewhere.

To be honest, there is nowhere else on the internet that I can get the material which Totem offers in such a convenient format. I can watch it different ways, using it as casual background while working or concentrating on it.

The truth is that VG and DB regularly offer material that I cannot easily consume in the same way elsewhere. However, I hope that Totem understands that it is the softer material that appeals to me and that I am paying for on this site. I can get hardcore sex and nudity for free or cheap from various sources. But the offering of the tease material is gold dust to me.

In general I think Totem's price structure is reasonable. There are many cards I buy I think are good value. (In the sense that there are two or more clips that are worth watching over and over again). In the end, if it becomes too costly, then I will just stop buying.
