Now that including a chair appears to be a distinct possibility in future clips
A question for the animation (green screen) camera man may be..
How should such chair clips be filmed ? As a standing clip or as a sitting clip ?

I would hope that many 'chair clips' do feature the model occupying her chair for most of the time
& therefore remain filmed as for studio table camera settings like when the model is kneeling.

In scene writing, ( Studio doing the above ) will then allow default call of sittingheight fullscreen parameter for these 'chair clips' rather than the smaller standingheight model sizes typical of when a model moves about the stage a lot.

Although I understand @EverthangForever 's point of view about whether clips with a chair should be treated like "standing" or "table" clips I rather hope that a significant proportion (though not necessarily the larger proportion) will nominally be standing clips as this alows more variety in the way the performer uses the chair.

There would be technical problem for scenes if they are treated as "table" clips.

If, as is the case with table clips. the hotspot is positioned at the level of the stage the maximum height of the clip relative to the hotspot will be greater than that for clips without a chair - so using the same "sittingHeight" value for these clips and for clips without a table will either cause the girls in them to be scaled differently (making them look smaller) or they will tend to overfill the vertical space allotted to them in the scene.

On the other hand the hotspot is positioned at the level of the seat then the chair legs will be below the level at which we place the clips on stage - just as the performer's legs are in "frontTable" clips, I can't see how we could create scenes that handled this well as we surely will mostly want to position the chairs as if they were standing on something.

Then there is the problem of excluding such clips from scenes in which we have the girls performing on a couch - I doubt that we will be getting a new "chair" clip type nice though that would be.

@Emu TBH, I am happy with the camera settings Totem used
to make Danielle Trixie - Night tales a0747 circa 2010
although I note this was published back then at 720p.

The type of chair used then means that the back legs
were able to be hidden by the front legs when
the chair was placed exactly center to raised camera
so not giving the impression for 2D desktop users
'rear chair legs in space' :-)

Fullscreen writers can always time a zoom in from
standing height after a set time, so it would be nice
if the standing part of chair clips tend to be restricted
to the beginning of the clip , to allow for that.

@EverthangForever

I will be happy just to have chairs again whatever camera angle is used.

However I used to find that the old clips when they were filmed using a raised camera that the chair clips, like all other "standing" clips (and even some table clips, had the problem of the model's feet (or hands in the table clips) would appear to float or be resting on something invisible at various points of the performance. This being due to the difference in perspective between the clip and the background image. For the kind of scene that you show in your post this hardly matters but in other more realistic scenes it can be very much more obvious. It is one of the reasons why I typically deny accessories for many of the clips in my scenes.

This "problem" is also occurs with cage clips where it is often very obvious that the plane of the cage floor is not parallel to the surface on which it is supposed to be resting.

You can't use a timed zoom to compensate for the the height difference if you do not know beforehand that the clip will be a chair clip. This would be true even if the standing part of such clips was restricted to the first part of the clip, which is not something that I would want to see happen - I like to see the model put her foot on a small chair when taking off her stockings and giving us an "accidental" upskirt view when doing so. Chairs are not just for sitting on.

@TheEmu
For fullscreen writers, the need to center the performers
actions to a specific location on stage is often important.
This has usually been achieved by deploying pole clips or cage clips
for standing scenes and table clips for others.
Not really a workable solution for every scene/background setting perhaps.

Clips using chairs provides yet another opportunity to have some
certainty about the model not straying too far left or right on stage
so i wouldn't be disregarding including chair accessories for such scenes if
there was a means to do so. Its one of the reasons I was advocating
designation of chair clips to be shot as default table scenes in the first place.
Height-wise it would be analogous to a table scene with kneeling.

Does anyone know a system .exe or bin file that can be put as a shortcut on the desktop to launch fullscreen mode without unwanted sub clicks ? If a new version is to remain without it I would like to know a 1 click way. It's a ***** in my book editing scenes clicking small buttons/submenus all the time.

To be useful in that role chair clips would need to be elevated to a distinct clip type like "pole", "cage" or "table". This is not the case with the existing chair clips and I very much doubt that it is going to be introduced - though it would be nice if it was. Currently a chair is an "accessory" with no way to distinguish it from a handbag or a motor cycle.

Actually what I would like is a way to allow/deny particular types of accessories - but I doubt that it will happen.

A scene designed around a specific Accessory,
would then place the burden on the member using that Scene
to create a Playlist of Clips that Use that Specific Accessory.

or

The Scene Creator can create such a playlist to go along with the Scene.
Playlists can be shared, even if the receiving member doesn't
currently have all the cards, the cards of Clips in the Playlist
that the member does have will be relevant.

Include a Playlist of Clips for the Scene,
or let the members know they must create their own.

@Wyldanimal - that is why I said that I would like to be able to allow/deny them in the .scn files just as we can the clip types or the categories. That way would not require that anybody creates any playlists (which would be a ***** to maintain as new cards get released). In any case playlists only work for the "main" clip in a scene.

@DANO70

You can launch fullscreen mode using the systray's right click menu which has a "launch the fullscreen" option. You can even make this be the action that is invoked by a left click on the systray icon.

Yes sir I know I can change the default systray start of it to a 1 click icon. The point is I 'd prefer not to click a tiny tray icon in the corner to do that or other menus. That's why I asked about a desktop shortcut.

Just forget about it it's not worth a big discussion really.

Thanks @Wyldanimal - it works for me...👍
I spent some time making a playlist of 'chair clip' cards by
putting much of my collection through a scene file with only
'allow: accessories' in it and ***** some 50 or so cards
with chairs into a playlist which I have saved as chairs.vpl

If say I wanted to promulgate that new scene, adapted for use with chairs...

Do you mean I should include my chairs.vpl for that scene in the posted zip
and expect people to copy that chairs.vpl into their data/playlists
directory after the extract ? ..or just incl. list of cards.. not sure what you mean

btw not all chair clips were shot for a standing cam aspect only

Sure, put the Playlist .vpl file in your Scene folder
and Included it with your Zip

When you Insert a Playlist, you can browse to any Folder.
So a member could browse to your scene folder to insert it
or the member cold copy it from your Scene Folder and put it in the Playlist folder

If you want to venture that far
you can include a readme.txt file with instructions.

I'm a proponent for members Learning how to do things
how to browse folders
how to copy and paste
how to edit scenes
how to use regedt

the more a member learns, the Less scared they are to do it.
and better equipped to help themselves
or to follow simple steps
browse to folder 123
copy file XYZ
paste to folder ABC

edit the ModelsPath

etc

About FG090
I had not anticipated how inserting a cliplist containing many
many unpurchased cards could present congestion issues
for peeps with low card counts,.. because the iStripper program
will probably try to auto-load previews of all these unpurchased cards.

I can't really see clear solution to this sort of issue at the moment..
except to let all the previews download before running the scene on
what has been purchased.

@EverthangForever - I have compared your chair playlist and mine. Good news more to add. 34 more cards for you, but some you might reject. Perhaps too many no chair items like balls for example. Two classic cards to try out and see what you think. Many of the Classic cards do have at least one chair clip, but often also other accessories also. I guess that can be worked around by disabling those clips?

I have put my playlist into alpha order, so I can find models by name. Also I only put the show card in the playlist, not the individual clips. That makes for a much shorter list and it does seem to still work fine with your fullscreen. Something else perhaps for you to test. Who'd have thought a simple chair on a porn site could be so much fun. Of course it does help if there is a pretty girl blocking the view.

Couple more to add - Elody 1405 (a big chair/cushion to play with) and 1406 (a seaside scene, chair and lotions!)

@wrightsayswow ,
excellent research & collaboration !!!!! love the alphabetical sort.
I have some committments next day or two, however either of us
can update to a chairs05.vpl on the weekend. Great effort pal ;-)

..& thanks to your work, looks like we are about ready for any
new 'chairs clips' Totem might throw at us in da future. 👍

@EverthangForever very kind 😊 - It was fun and I bet there are more, there's always more, never say never or final, but we have certainly made big progess on that list. And of course hopefully new shows to add in the future, especially the one Angelika Grays was working on the other day. 😛😍

You are so, so right wright pal. Just letting FG090 run today on open Next, & 'found'
another 154 clips to put into it as a chairs05a.vpl supplementary playlist.
Unfortunately I had not sorted em back into chairs05.vpl , so they are just included
now in server zip as an additional chairs05a.vpl for peeps to insert. Hopefully someone can
sort these & more all properly some day as one list. I don't have the skill to re-sort playlists.
Anyway - the more chairs the merrier & it runs ok same on random.

@EverthangForever more chairs than we can handle at the moment 😄 but good to know. And since neither of us have full collections more will turn up. I was onto some of those in your new list and suspected others.
I understand why you are doing the individual clips, to remove the other accessories, but that does make for an even longer playlist and I found that some cards clips then seem to play at different times and in wrong order. I do need to test that again I think? Anyway unless there is process to combine two playlists into one, it will just have to be the old fashoined way and done by hand. I have plenty of time and love the finished imagery so I will be on it and update you.
I think we should call ourselves Team Chair. 👍

In the Classic "D" series there are 100's of chair clips
So it you decide to go through then, they should be their own Play list.

the Playlist Tab does not have the Ability to Merge or Load more then one playlist at a time.
However,
The Now Playing tab
you can Insert more than one playlist, which then merges them together in the Next List.
you just can't save the combined list.

example
you could have 5 separate playlist saved
and then insert them one after the other..

@Wyldanimal - oh yes the Classic series is whole different ball (chair) game! And with the image quality being so poor on those, they would look very bad mixed in with the other card series. I like those Classic cards more for the stills and bonus videos, and some models that only did those cards, reminders of days long, long gone by.

Does not matter not saving - it works fine and you can keep a series of shorter more manageable lists going. Like you say you put the ones you want in and they still all get used by the program. I have just tested two very different lists I have so there was no mistaking. Chairs and Liquids and Lotions (another dirty secret I know) and sure enough they were well mixed up.

Shorter playlists also means if you ever mess one up or overwrite (and did not backup) not so much time needed to redo the list.

It is good to talk on here and suggest ideas.

the Random and Repeat Check boxes are also your Friends

insert 4 or 5 playlists, and Check Random so they are used in Mixed up order..

with Repeat checked, as they get played, they are added Back to the top of list, this then means the List will be mixed up as well.

Or turn off Random, so you control the order they get played.
Bottom of the List to the Top of the List.

For those compiling lists like chair clips, it pays to remember,
the reason for wanting to merge and sort them into one list in
the first place, was to provide an easy means of ensuring that
they had not already included a 'found' clip in any list being
constructed. Memory plays tricks on me after several 100 clips :-/

Its a shame a third party utility hasn't yet been conceived to
take a large .vpl file and sort it's contents aphabetically by
card name/number, allowing one to easily see any duplicates.
The code, maybe could involve parsing the contents somehow..

Just saw this ..it looks perfect for the above purpose..

@EverthangForever more chairs for the playlist for you and anyone else interested. As I said I tend to put the whole card in my list, but you can obviously just pull out the clips you want of interest. Two or three bath tub shows included, which does make sense as the models will often sit on the bath edge.
Be nice to work out now what was the last show to use a chair in the clips or anything else to sit on. I think it was a long time ago perhaps.

Found this very old series of posts by @Starryk also, which has proved remarkably useful in all this, considering it is 10 years old.
