A few of my sets are marked as 3K. What does this mean? The images don't seem to be larger than the 1080p sets. Some like card 1456 have neither the 720 nor the 1080 radio buttons selected. What would happen if I clicked on the 1080 button and refreshed the set?

Hello @Dorsai6

3k is probably only suitable for really big screens to see any difference.

If you were to click on either 720 or 1080 you would get a popup asking if you wanted to change to that format. If you click yes the the 3k format would be replaced by the format selected.

I have a Mac Pro with a really big screen: HP LP3065 - 30" display at 2560 X 1600 pixels. My second monitor is an HP LV2311 at 1920 X 1080. I'm an enterprise architect and I need to draw very large diagrams, so I need lots of pixels. VG is running on my main monitor most of the time and I haven't noticed any difference between 3K and 1080. When I click on 1080 for a 3K set, I get the warning you mentioned and I've always cancelled at that point. However, I haven't noticed a difference between the 3K sets and the 1080p sets when I play them. It's hard to be sure. Should the 3K sets appear crisper? At present, an upright model either 3K or 1080p occupies about 70% of my main screen and is just a bit too tall for may second screen.

I am not aware of the specifics of the format for 3k so I can't help you there. I did not know any shows were showing on the 3k format yet.

I know WyldAnimal has posted about 3k in other threads so if you pm him he should point you in the right direction.

Re: for now we don't ave any card in 3K resolution

OK! Then there is a problem with my copy of VG. I have 367 cards. Of these 20 show up in the My Collection tab as being 3K. They are VG cards 318, 514, 663, 1393, 1423, 1427, 1431, 1444, 1450, 1455, 1456, and 1467 and DB 45, 76, 80,. 87, 93, 135, 154 and 207.

When I click on the individual cards, VG cards 318, 514 and 663 and all DB cards show as 720p. The remaining cards show two options: 720p and 1080p. What is interesting is that sometimes no radio button is selected (see screen capture) and sometimes a radio button is selected.

When I click on the 1080p button for any of these cards I get a warning that the card is 3K. (see second screen capture) This has ***** me and is the reason I posted my original message.

Am I looking at a program logic flaw? Do I really have 20 3K cards?

Yupp, there's something wrong here. As an example the cards 318 and 514 aren't even filmed in 1080p... they are only filmed in 720p so the chance of them being released in 3K is non existing.

Maybe you should ask someone from the Team to take a look at your account since something clearly is wrong here.

Hmm... or, there might be some bug in the software?

Cards show up as 3K ( you see on the Filters drop down. )
This may be due to a bug.
I see it can be caused by using the Clip View mode, and removing a Check next to a clip.
and then right click trash can and Say Delete Disabled Clips Only.

There is a file in the Data folder that Keeps track of what card is what resolution.
Sometimes after this process, this file is no longer correct data in it.
and some or many card date is not read correctly..

Going to Advance screen, Right Click sync with server, select rebuild All
should fix this.

Wyldanimal,

Thank you. That fixed my problem. I didn't know that a right click on that button would provide more options.
