I have been assuming that the bad placement of clips is not due to a bug in the clip itself, but rather in the software. I've been trying to call attention to this issue over in the Mac forum on this thread:

. The reason I think it's the software rather than the clip is that if I change from "Right" placement of clips to "Left" placement of clips, the issue is fixed. (But the downside of "Left" placement of clips is that everything is backwards. This suggested to me that the clips are probably OK, but that computation of how their bounding box should be scaled to certain screen sizes was wrong. In any case, I wish someone would fix it -- it makes the new 1080p clips much less attractive than they should be (unless you're into just seeing elbows float onto the side of your screen...).
