I tried using an animated GIF previously. It didn't work (displayed but not animated) but I have never had a problem changing the avatar. Only had to clear the browser cache (with the browser closed using CCleaner) for the new avatar to display on the website. In the program the change was instant.

The Browser Cache, Only Affects what YOU see on your end.
it doesn't affect what others would see.

@bartwir
Can you remove your Avatar and then update you profile.
DON'T load another one. Just leave it blank.
Let's see if that part works..

Delete this Picture, then click update profile.

The last one is about the webpage, but how's about your program.
Is there still a Cat, or your new avatar?
I mean this picture...

@bartwir: I hope that after you reached the third screenshot, you refreshed the page TWICE.....then refreshed the My Account page twice !...???

I am using Firefox browser, by the way, so success may be dependent on whichever browser you are using !...

@All
Since we, the other members also see the wrong Avatar It is not an issue of refreshing, or a Cache issue on batwir's computer.

It's also not a browser issue, as we can clearly see that the New Avatar Image is uploaded.

I point all this out, so that Totem, can look into this members profile, as it is something on the server side, that keeps reusing the older image for the small avatar, but when you check his profile, and click on the avatar
The Correct(RedHead picture) is displayed.

One of my previous posts about the Cache,
It was not Directed at any one member in particular.
Had it Been I would have posted it as
@MemberName

@goldiecharleston
My public apologies for that post coming across as yellin at you.

@bartwir, This looks like server's issue. The only thing you can do is click one more time "Update Profile" and then leave it for a while. Don't delete your new picture, let it just stay. Perhaps this exchange will take place, however, after some time.
It was the weekend and Totem's technicians are just starting their work. So all this will take some time and patience ];-)

@bartwir, DIDGEDRUM is right - 32 bit VG software (player) doesn't have anything to do with your Account settings. They're completely different things.

But... who knows... maybe your Cat just really loves you ];-)

@Batwir
Please DO NOT change your avatar again.
I want the Team to look at it, just the way it is.
Thank you.

I have elevated this to the team.
Note: the Avatar has nothing affected by the VG GUI software.
Avatar is Only Web based through the Users Profile page.
An Image is Uploaded to the Servers.
then that Image is Processed automatically on the Server side to Create the Small Avatar Image.

If, that automatic process becomes corrupted on the server side, or fails,
the NEW image is not used, but instead the old image is retained.

I wrote to the team to look at Batwir's profile.
Something is causing the Process on the server to fault, so it keeps using the Old small image.

Batwir's current profile status
Small Avatar 120 x 120 is the Cat.
Click on the Small avatar to see the Large image,
and you see the Red Haired Girl.

Server accepts upload of new image
Server fails to change small image
