For us folks that only have dial up. Will the downloads pause by themselves,when I get kicked off line or have to hang up. Then resume next session, or is there no way for us slow folk to dowload such a large file?
I'm a dumb old newbee.

The download will pause and resume next time you connect... that said, if possible, try and get a high speed connection. Some of these cards are +300Mb and they will take you forever to download with a dial up connection.

@puhunywe...regarding dial up. (and being a fellow country boy without a megabucks win either!)I'm on dial up too. I've been a ticket buyer not a member as the automatic downloading would eat up all my computer time.So I pick and choose the models I want to get. For my set up a full show (25-30 min) takes about 20 hours to down load. A real patience developer! Also it helps to develop an understanding of the practice of re-downloading a card if it glitches half way through the 1st download and you only get a partial show. Totem can help you here.. Someone I spoke to who downloads other media had a fix by getting the phone company to set up another dedicated phone line into his house so he has his phone and internet on at same time. I think he quoted the cost at about $30.00/month (I don't know what company).Ala carte, not membership seems the way to go. Good luck...(I just tell folks "oh...the squirrels been eatin' at the wires again"...) Not cougars....squirrels! Good patience!!

Well it would appear that the first reply {jununger} was wrong. The first session I got 20% of the download whick would have taken 5 days at that rate {not to bad for dial up}, but the 2nd night when I turned my computer back on the 20% was gone. So unless you leave your computer on 24 hours a day the download will not keep...

@Puhunywe
When a download restart it always start at 0% but as soon as it recognize a clip that's already been downloaded it should skip that one and move on. Each card is made up of 15-30 clips and if you have downloaded say 10 of those the first 50% would go much faster the second time since all the software need to do is to check that the clip is downloaded correctly.

Next time you need to ***** a download and restart your computer. Go into the models folder and check to see how many clips are there (Ex. a0001 for card 1). Also, the clip called .vghd are the fully loaded ones and the .dlmcdf file is the current one being downloaded. When you restart your download the software first does a quick check of the ones downloaded and then continue with the last partial download.

Hope this info helps understand how the download works :)
