@Wahudarifi: If your question of 40 days ago is still on the table, my advice is don't worry about Totem's removing the 6-month subscription any time soon. Totem considered removing it, and promptly changed their minds. I believe Totem has a well-deserved reputation for never pulling a "bait and switch" -- in other words, once they give us a good deal, it's probably going to be there forever. Changes, if any, always seem to be for the better.
When VGHD first came out, the standard way to buy cards was for 2 credits each, with only a limited number of special deals available at 1 credit each. Then they introduced Booster packs -- a very good deal for us. Then they offered subscriptions -- an even better deal for us. We saw a similar trend with Desk Babes. At first, all DB duos cost 3 credits each. Remember those days? Now DB has all the same great deals as VGHD except for the 3 and 6 month subscription terms. Innovations always seem to favor us consumers. I'm not a moderator and can't speak for Totem, but it seems to me that's how they always have and always will behave. Totally fair to the point of extreme generosity. We greatly appreciate that.
If you are as optimistic as I am about the prospect for continuing prolific card releases in the future, there is a way that you as a maxed-out member can get future cards for the best possible price. You might want to consider canceling your VGHD subscription now, and leave it that way for a few months. Come back in and re-subscribe once you feel that as many as 180 new cards will have been generated by exactly the end of your next subscription period. At the current rate of releasing new cards of about 4.6 non-VIP cards per week on average or about 20 per month, I project it would take 9 months for Totem to accumulate 180 cards you don't presently have or would not have received anyway as free VIP cards. So, working backwards from 9 months from now, you might want to wait to re-subscribe for about 3 months (with no new cards coming into your collection except for the VIP cards you will continue to receive free every 4 weeks), then take another 6-month subscription. Near the end of that 6-month subscription term, you would again cancel and again wait for Totem to accumulate a head start with its new inventory.
If that's too much hassle and/or you don't like the 3-month dry periods, just go ahead and leave your 6-month subscription active and automatically renewing. You will certainly not receive the full 180 cards every 6 months -- probably more like 120. Please note that I'm just guessing that Totem will continue releasing new cards at the same rate as they are today. There are no guarantees, and your results may vary.
@Toolmaniac: You are correct. The 3 and 6 month subscriptions are for one card per day. Totem might be insane, but they're not crazy. (Years ago, Totem's slogan was something like "a card a day" or "a new girl every day stripping on your desktop." The concept of one card per day was the original foundation of their business.)
